SERMON: THE SEASON OF GREATNESS

TEXT: PSALM 71:21

Note:The Goal of this teaching is to usher you to your greatness.
Note:
For you to experience greatness in the kingdom of God, there are three major seasons that you would go through:
1.The season of Discovery and preparation Jeremiah 1:5
you must discover who you are in God.
untill you discover your purpose, you may not be able to overcome smallness.
Every child of God has a seed of greatness,but untill you discover who are , you would not be able to manifest it. 2chronicles 27:6, Luke 1:80
There is a day and season to manifest greatness, but untill you are prepared in the secret, you will not be able to manifest it.
2.The season of testing and proving.
God will test your heart to see whether you believe in Him, and in what He told you or not.
No matter who you are, God would test you.
Anybody you see great today , have been tested by God. Matthew 4:4, James 2:1-4.
The goal of testing is so that you would learn patience, and patience would make you matured.
3.The season of manifestation.Luke 4:14.
Untill you defeat Satan in the wilderness, he will not allow you manifest greatness in the open.

Q1.HOW DO WE MEASURE GREATNESS IN THIS KINGDOM?

1.By the degree of your value.
The degree of your value, determine your greatness in God's kingdom.

What is value?

Value is the ability to solve problem,
the ability to answer questions,
the ability to be a solution to people.
Every child of God is born to answer a question to his generation.

Untill you begin to answer that question you can't experience greatness.Mark 2:1-2

2.By the degree of your impact

what is impact?

Is when your presence and your contributions makes people, things, places and situations better than you met them.

impact is in levels,
to increase your greatness, is to increase your impact.

The degree of your impact determine the level of your greatness.

I break every stubborn territorial covenant of smallness over your life. I declare that you are stepping into a new season of unstoppable enlargement now, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

WHY THIS TEACHING?

Everyone needs Divine Direction to succeed in life.

Q1.why do we need Divine Direction?
1. Human beings are limited in knowledge.
2.Men have the tendency of making mistakes in judgement and decisions. 1 Samuel 16:6
3. Men are emotional beings, and with emotions comes sentiment.
4.Men can be sincerely wrong.

Q2.What is the tragedy of following the wrong direction?

1.The loss of time. Ephesians 5:16
Speed in the wrong direction is not an advantage.
2.lack of Divine provision. Psalm 23:1-2
If you want God to provide for you, follow His leadings.
Divine provision follows Divine vision.

3. Frustration and sadness.Psalm 16:11

4. All kinds of danger and ultimately death. Ecclesiastes 10:8

Keys to accessing Divine Direction

1.You must admit that outside of God's help you are limited Matthew 4:1, Jeremiah 33:3
Divine Direction doesn't mean it would be easier,it only guarantee it will be successful.
Divine direction brings preservation.
Untill you are led , there would be no power.

2. You must take time to study the ways of God. Psalm 103:7
if you want to be a mature Christian go after the ways of God.

3. Pray passionately about every step you are about to take. 1Samuel 30:8-18

4. Meditate on the word of God. Joshua 1:8

5. Seek godly counsel from matured believers. Proverbs 11:14, Hebrew 6:12

6. Pay attention to your dreams vision and supernatural experiences. Joel 2:28

7. Peace Psalm 85:8
The voice of peace is the voice of God.

8. Engage the prophetic ministry. Amos 3:7,2 Kings 3:14-17

Enemies to Divine Direction
1. Pride James 4:7
2. Rebellion and stubbornness.1 Samuel 15:22-23.
3. Distractions.1 Kings 20:39-40
4. Worry and anxiety. Philippians 4:6
5. Fear.2 Timothy 1:7
6. Unbelief.Hebrew 11:6
7. Lack of understanding. Psalm 32:9.

*THEME: Why Alignment is Necessary in Marriage & Ministry*
*TEXT: Amos 3:3* – _“Can two walk together except they be agreed?”_

*ALIGNMENT* = Two yoke-mates moving same direction, speed, vision & values under God’s leadership.

*6 REASONS ALIGNMENT IS NON-NEGOTIABLE:*

1. *To Fulfill God’s Purpose* – Gen 2:18, Eccl 4:9. Not just your plan, but His plan. Build God's house, not 2 houses.

2. *To Carry Weight Without Breaking* – Matt 11:29. A yoke only works when both oxen move same way. Misalignment = divorce.

3. *To Protect Unity & Authority* – Mark 3:25. One voice in home + altar. Division kills honor.

4. *To Win Spiritual Warfare* – Deut 32:30, Matt 18:19. Two aligned believers put 10,000 to flight. Fighting couples = prey.

5. *To Model Christ & The Church* – Eph 5:31-32, John 5:19. Marriage must reflect Christ’s alignment with the Father.

6. *To Attract Grace & Anointing* – Psalm 133:1-3. Unity commands blessing. Disagreement attracts drought.

*3 AREAS YOU MUST ALIGN BEFORE “I DO”:*
1. *VISION* – What is God calling you both to do?
2. *VALUES* – Money, children, in-laws, s*x, holiness. What’s your standard?
3. *DOCTRINE/CONVICTIONS* – Church, tithing, fasting, raising kids.

Conclusion;
Alignment now prevents agony later.
