The criterion for choosing leaders who will run the affairs of God's Church Scripturally is that "they must be full of God's Spirit and Wisdom".
Sadly, it seems we are Contemporarily ignoring such qualifications and leaning on academic qualifications alone. Those standards we set that he or she must be either a masters holder or a Doctor is an ear deafener and a vision blurer.
How will you know if God is pointing you to a man full of God's Spirit and Wisdom who is a degree holder? Truly, your standardized qualifying trademarks are a stumbling block! I bet that if David were in our time, he wouldn't have been King. Peter, Andrew, James and John wouldn't have been Apostles either.
I am not against Academic Credences, but not at the expense of what the Lord of the Church is saying about His Church. If your sensitivity to spiritual bankruptcy is not distorted, you can bear me witness that some of our practices are seeming to that of the Church during the Dark Ages.
Be careful not to raise gifted but fruitless leaders. Be careful not to raise academicians who are atheists to run the affairs. If the Lord has not appointed a leader, that leader is already a reject.
If the Lord is not primary in the making of Church leaders, we will fill the leadership seats with bastards, and they will bastardize the work of God. Selah!!!
