Excerpt from Wednesday, 3rd Jan. 2018

2018 is our year of establishment; God does not renege on His promises, but on our own part planning is essential to getting established. Luke1:28 “supposed one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not sit down and count the cost to see if he has enough money to do it” Planning gives you an overview of where you are going; it helps you build determination and direct your focus.

Planning ensures you put the details into consideration:
# What do you want to achieve say at intervals of time

# What stake do you have on the table?

# What area do you want to get established?
You can then commit your plans to God, He will redirect you properly.

Get it right! Establishment means having an area of authority- a domain under your control. It’s when you carve a niche and spread your tentacles firmly about it.

Prov. 14:15 “A simple man believes everything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps”. One of the key character traits that will determine your outcome this year is the ability to stay focused. Don’t fall for everything, every dazzling scene or object should not catch your fancy. Don’t be flaky; don’t follow everything that’s trending…

Prov. 15:22 “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed’. Seek counsel; learn from authorities in the area where you are aspiring. There is always a pool of resources to learn from. You could learn from the successes and the failures of those ahead of you. Don’t be an island in your pursuit; God will always place people around you who will show you the way. There is this dictum that “when you think you know it all, then you’ve known nothing yet”.

Make your plans and even if it fails, don’t worry. Just find some courage to plan again. Let God be at the centre of it all. Also, plan that God establishes you spiritually, without God everything is flimsy and would soon be gone. Your Church activities, your relationship with God must be incorporated into your plan.

Be dependable- let your Yes and No be exactly what they are and nothing more or less.
Dependability matters. You don’t want to lose trust…
