WORD SESSION
Topic: JESUS CHRIST, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Text: John 8:12
Preacher: Apostle Matthew Braimoh Azriel Asirioluwa Matthew

The session emphasized that God is Light, and understanding His nature should produce a life of worship, thanksgiving and reverence. As believers, our spiritual growth begins with understanding who we are in Christ and allowing God's Word to define our identity.

Through Christ, we have been brought out of darkness and made light in the Lord. We are therefore called not only to receive His Light but to walk in it, carry it and reflect Christ wherever we go.

The presence of God gives us boldness to face life and its challenges, while His Word remains our lamp and guide. Psalm 119:105; Ephesians 5:8; John 1:4,9; Proverbs 20:27; 1 John 1:5; 1 Timothy 6:16.

Ultimately, the Light of Christ in us should be evident in our identity, worship, conduct and daily lives, so that His glory can shine through us to the world. ✨

Father, we declare that the light of the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ shines amongst the Miyawa people in Northern Nigeria. We break the influence of darkness over the people and we declare their freedom in the name of Jesus.

Father, we declare that we rely on your mercy beyond our efforts. We put no confidence in our strengths in the name of Jesus Christ.
