WED. 28TH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME (II)*
🍇🌽 BE FRUITFUL🌽🍇
🍇🌽When you are led by the Spirit, you cannot be found wanting by the law. Or has anybody been arrested for being a gentleman? Openness to the Spirit migrates us from the sin-infested land of self-indulgence to the virtue-oriented godliness that makes us bear fruits like love, gentleness, peace, joy, goodness, self control, patience, trustfulness and kindness (Gal. 5:18-25).

🍇🌽The Pharisees paid tithes and followed laws to the latter in order to be right before the law and not for the sake of love or goodness. They were more concerned about the exalted social status it accorded them and less concerned about justice and love of God (Luke 11:42-46).

🍇🌽If we can be so erudite about the letters of the law, why are we so slow in matters of goodness? The Spirit goes beyond a dramatic force for magical manifestations to an energy source towards a good life. God has poured his Spirit upon us. How terrible it would be if we refuse to bear fruits. De difference between corn and grass na fruit.

🍇🌽 _Prayer: For the reignition of the fire of love in our hearts, Lord. Amen_🌽🍇

God Said : There will come a time when mankind will love five things and forget five things.

1. They will love the enjoyment of this world and forget the day of judgement.

2. They will love money and forget the day of accountability of how they acquired and spend the money.

3. They will fear things that are created and forget the creator.

4. They will love beautiful mansions and forget their grave.

5. They will love sins and forget to seek for God's forgiveness.

Oh God, bless those who spread this message.

Come to think of this?.......

1. Eternal life = free

2. Church entrance = free

3. salvation = free

4. God's love = free

5. Breath of life = free

A. Cigarette = pay

B. Prostitution = pay

C. Alcohol =pay

D. Nightclub entrance fee= pay

E. Powers to rule the world = pay

Then why are people paying for hell while PARADISE is free?

Think twice

Believe in God your creator

We always think of

Valentine's day

Birth day

Father's day

Mother's day

Children's day

Our day,

Farmer's day

Teacher's day

Christmas day

Independence day

Boxing day,

This day,

That day,

Day in Day out.

Have you ever thought of Judgement Day, is it going to be a day of celebration or condemnation for you ?

If you’re safe, what about your friends & loved ones. Show them love by telling them about the Judgement Day. Please pass this to any group let heaven be happy for you today. Please don't say later, do it now because tomorrow may be too late.

*LENT: A CALL TO IMITATE CHRIST CRUCIFIED*

Lent is a period of repentance. It is a time when we are invited to restore our beauty and Godly image which has been disfigured sin. It is a period when we ask our master "what more" we MUST do to inherit eternal life.

In the Old Testament account, Prophet Joel invites the people of Israel to return to the Lord with all their hearts, with fasting, weeping and mourning. (cf. Joel 2:12-13). Malachi also prophesy to the Israelites God’s willingness to return to them if they are willing and ready to return to Him. (cf. Mal 3:7). Ezekiel further revealed that God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked (cf. Ezek 18:23). In the same way that Isaiah reminded the people of Israelites of God’s invitation to sinners to depart from their old ways. (cf. Isaiah 55:7). Now the question is. How do they approach the “throne of mercy” for the forgiveness of their sins? The Holy Scripture has cited various instances and approaches of seeking God’s face for repentance by the people of the old. The scripture narrates various forms of the penitential acts. Among them are: putting on sackcloth, weeping, mourning, sitting on ashes, rubbing of ashes, fasting, etc. But our concern is the act involving fasting and ashes which are partY of the Ash Wednesday’s liturgical rite.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of lent. Lent is a forty days period of prayer, fasting, and abstinence, in commemoration of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation.

According to Panula, Christians celebrated the first Ash Wednesday sometime around the Early Middle Ages. While Monsignor Kevin Irwin, a liturgy specialist at Catholic University, said the practice started in the 10th century and became an official liturgy in the 13th century.

*The question then Is: is Ash Wednesday a Roman Catholic observance?*

Catholics are not the only group observing Ash Wednesday. Anglicans/Episcopalians, Lutherans, United Methodists and other
