How To Get Satisfaction In Life
The Prof Text:
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." — John 14:27
In a world that constantly tells us we need more to be happy, Prophet T.B. Joshua delivers a counter-cultural truth: satisfaction in life is not about having children, money, or other worldly possessions. Many people spend their lives lamenting their situations because their hearts are centered only on how they are feeling, how they are doing, or how they are being treated.
Prophet TB Joshua teaches that there is a specific kind of hunger in every human soul, a desire to know what life is truly about and what happens after it is over. You can have money, education, and even high-ranking positions like a president of a nation, and still have no peace. This is because the peace the world offers is "time-bound," whereas the peace of God is for eternity.
The key to overcoming this restlessness is simple yet profound: “You have to experience God”. Until you have a personal experience with Him, there will always be dissatisfaction. When you experience God, your faith is lifted, and you no longer concentrate on your situation, but on the One who has already conquered the world.
Food For Thought:
• The Possession Trap: Are you waiting for a specific material blessing (money, children, career) before you allow yourself to feel satisfied?
• The Source of Peace: Is your peace dependent on your current situation, or is it rooted in the eternal peace that only Jesus gives?
• The Experience: Have you moved beyond just "knowing about" God to actually "experiencing" Him in your daily walk?
Prayer Point:
Lord Jesus, I recognize today that worldly things cannot fill the hunger in my soul. I stop looking to my possessions or my problems for my identity. I ask for the grace to experience You personally today. Fill me with the peace that the world cannot give, so that I may find true satisfaction regardless of my situation. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
