Yesterday, Patris Week opened with dignity, gratitude, and renewed conviction.
In a ceremony marked by reflection and vision, we gathered not only to celebrate how far we have come, but to clarify, more sharply than ever, who we are becoming.
At the Opening Ceremony, the President of Patris Empowerment Initiative, Oladotun Reju, led us into a defining moment: the unveiling of a new Patris logo and a renewed institutional identity.
This is not a change of vision. It is a refinement of expression.
From the beginning, Patris stood for fathering, mentoring, and modeling patriotism. Our first logo captured that pioneering season, a singular figure nurturing others, firmly rooted in the map of Nigeria.
But seasons change, and growth demands clarity.
As Dr Reju explained, Patris is no longer the expression of one voice. It has become a body of many members. What began as a stream has become a movement. What began as a singular figure mentoring children has matured into a network of leaders, institutions, and initiatives working in convergence.
The new logo reflects that maturity.
It retains the map of Nigeria because our commitment to this nation remains unwavering.
It bears the colour of royalty because we are committed to raising leaders who exist for the good of others.
It carries gold, symbolic of divine purpose.
It lifts hands, not merely in worship, but in responsibility.
In a world shaped by images, identity matters. As our President reminded us, a logo is like a signature; it is the handwriting of an institution. Yesterday, we unveiled a signature that tells our story with greater clarity and depth.
This moment also reflects something fundamental about Patris. We are not afraid to examine ourselves. We subject our work to scrutiny, ask difficult questions, and refine our expression where necessary, not to impress, but to remain aligned with purpose.
We were honoured by the presence of partners, friends, and board members, distinguished leaders joining us from different sectors and different parts of the world. While our heart is rooted in Nigeria, our collaborations carry a global perspective.
Patris Week 2026 has begun with more than celebration. It has begun with clarity.
We are glad to unveil the new identity of Patris. The vision remains. The mandate stands. The expression is sharper, and the journey continues.
