🔥 THE POWER OF TONGUES IN PRAYER

Praying in the Spirit is more than speaking words we do not understand; it is yielding our spirit to the Holy Spirit in prayer.

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth…” — 1 Corinthians 14:14

When we pray in tongues, we are exercising a spiritual language given by the Holy Spirit. It helps us pray beyond the limitations of our natural understanding and builds us up spiritually.

Jude 20 says, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

There are moments when you may not know what to say, how to pray, or even what to ask for. Yet, you can yield to the Holy Spirit and continue in prayer.

Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us.

🔥 Praying in tongues builds spiritual strength.
🔥 It helps us remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
🔥 It enables us to pray beyond our natural vocabulary.
🔥 It strengthens our spiritual devotion and faith.

Don't treat praying in the Spirit as a religious routine. Make it part of your prayer life.

Pray. Build. Strengthen. Advance.

“Praying in the Holy Ghost” — Jude 20.

The Danger of False Interpretation of Dreams and Visions

Dreams and visions are ways God can communicate, but not every interpretation is from God. A genuine revelation can become dangerous when it is wrongly interpreted. Many destinies have been delayed, relationships broken, and fear planted in hearts because of inaccurate interpretations.

A dream is a revelation, but the interpretation gives it meaning. Joseph and Daniel understood that interpretations belong to God (Genesis 40:8; Daniel 2:28). This is why believers must never rush to interpret dreams based on emotions, assumptions, or superstition.

False interpretation often produces fear instead of faith, confusion instead of clarity, and bo***ge instead of freedom. It can lead people to make life-changing decisions that God never instructed them to make.

Every dream or vision should be tested by the Word of God, confirmed by the Holy Spirit, and, where necessary, weighed with mature spiritual counsel. God is not the author of confusion but of peace.

Do not seek sensational interpretations—seek God's mind. A correct interpretation reveals His purpose, strengthens faith, and points people toward Christ rather than fear.

Key Scriptures:

Genesis 40:8 – "Do not interpretations belong to God?"

Daniel 2:28 – "There is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries."

1 Corinthians 14:33 – "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace."

1 John 4:1 – "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God."

The Danger of Staying Cold as a Believer

A believer does not usually become cold overnight. Spiritual coldness often begins with neglected prayer, abandoned fellowship, little hunger for God's Word, and a heart that gradually loses its passion for Christ. What was once a burning fire becomes a fading ember.

A cold believer becomes vulnerable to temptation because spiritual strength is built in God's presence. Discernment weakens, conviction fades, and compromise becomes easier. Soon, what was once resisted is accepted.

Spiritual coldness also limits God's purpose. A believer who is no longer on fire struggles to influence others, carry God's presence, or fulfill divine assignments. Heaven is looking for burning vessels, not lukewarm ones.

Jesus warned the church in Revelation that being lukewarm is dangerous because it displeases Him. A cold heart can eventually become a hardened heart if left unchecked.

Guard your fire. Stay in prayer. Feed on God's Word. Fellowship with believers. Keep the flame of the Holy Spirit burning, because a burning believer is a dangerous weapon in the hands of God, but a cold believer is an easy target for the enemy.

"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord." — Romans 12:11 (NIV)

Stay Hot in Prayer

A cold prayer life produces a weak spiritual life, but a burning prayer life sustains intimacy with God and releases His power. Fire is not maintained by occasional encounters—it is maintained by consistent fellowship.

Don't pray only when you feel like it. Pray until your spirit is stirred. Protect your altar, guard your devotion, and refuse to let the fire go out.

"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord." — Romans 12:11

Prayer: Lord, keep my heart burning for You. Let the fire on my altar never go out, and strengthen me to remain steadfast in prayer every day. Amen.
