Dear Mum,

As we join the hosts of heaven and earth to celebrate the gift of you today, we consider ourselves deeply blessed because you are a mother in the truest sense: you see beyond the surface, nurture purpose, transform everything you touch, and call forth gold where others see dust.

Your life has been a shelter, a covering, a safe place where many have found direction and renewal. This is particularly important because in a world that is constantly in a hurry, you have taught us the sacred art of walking with God patiently and deliberately.
