Improve your prayer life; develop a vibrant Christian action; enhance your interpersonal relationships; understand what God asks of you; and resolve your personal and interpersonal conflict based on the understanding of basic human needs. Our Story: What is common amongst top athletes, tennis players, footballers and golfers is that these players are successful, extremely rich and they have coache
s. Their coaches help them build on their success; work on the details that sharpen their skills and improve their techniques; plan tactics ahead of important events; and stay at the top in the world of sport. Conceptual basis for our spiritual direction: we understand spiritual direction as the assistance one looks for in order to grow in a loving relationship with God, as regards all aspects of life. Hence, spiritual direction enables personal integration of the human and spiritual life: one develops a spirituality within a basic Christian spirituality or devotion nuanced by specific schools (Benedictine, Carmelite, Franciscan, Dominican, Ignation or Jesuit, Sulpician, Spiritan, etc.) of spirituality approved by the Catholic Church. We use a one-on-one accompaniment process for those who come to us. Conceptual basis for our conflict resolution:
Aggressions and conflicts are the direct result of some institutions and social norms being incompatible with inherent human needs … aggressions and anti-social behaviours are stimulated by social circumstances. There are human limits to abilities to conform to such institutions and norms … needs that are frustrated … require satisfaction. They will be pursued in a nonviolent or violent way (Burton, 1998, p. 1; Agberagba, 2014, p.7). We promote the satisfaction of frustrated basic human needs with synergic satisfier in a nonviolent way to all who come to us. We use Max-Neef’s (1992 and Cruz, et al., 2009) identification of satisfiers: violating or destructive, pseudo, inhibiting, singular and synergic satisfiers. We explain to you how the process of needs satisfaction and needs frustration in conflict situations. That is, the choice of a given satisfier instead of others affects needs satisfaction, for causing conflict and its resolution (Max-Neef, 1992, p. 205). Additionally, we will accompany you find synergic satisfiers for the satisfaction of your frustrated basic human needs that will also stimulate the satisfaction of your other needs at the same time.
