DAILY GOSPEL REFLECTION ✝️

Gospel: Luke 6:43–49

“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit.”

Jesus reminds us that our lives reveal what is in our hearts. It is not enough to hear His Word. We are called to put it into practice.

Let our words, choices, relationships, and actions bear good fruit that reflects our faith in Christ.

Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus, purify our hearts and make us faithful witnesses of Your Word. Help us to remove whatever keeps us from bearing good fruit. May our words bring encouragement, our actions bring kindness, and our lives reflect Your love to everyone we meet. Give us the grace not only to hear Your Word, but to live it. Amen.

Hear the Word today, and put it into action. ✝️

DAILY GOSPEL REFLECTION ✝️

Gospel: Luke 6:39–42

Jesus teaches us to examine ourselves before pointing out the faults of others.

It is easy to notice another person's weakness while overlooking our own. Christ calls us first to conversion of heart, so that when we help others, we do so with humility, patience, and love.

Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus, give us the humility to examine our own lives before judging others. Help us recognise the areas where we need to change and give us the grace to grow in holiness. When we correct our brothers and sisters, may we do so with patience, charity, and a sincere desire for their good. Amen.

Before correcting another today, let us first allow God to correct us. ✝️

DAILY GOSPEL REFLECTION ✝️

Gospel: Luke 6:27–38

“Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.”

Jesus calls us to a love that goes beyond what is easy. Christian love means forgiving, showing mercy, praying for others, and refusing to repay hurt with hurt.

Today, let us ask ourselves: Is there someone we need to forgive? Is there someone we can show kindness to?

Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus, heal every bitterness and resentment within us. Give us the grace to forgive those who have hurt us, the humility to seek forgiveness when we have caused pain, and the strength to respond to hatred with love. Help us to be instruments of Your peace wherever we go today. Amen.

Choose love today. Let mercy have the final word. ✝️

DAILY GOSPEL REFLECTION ✝️

Gospel: Luke 6:20–26

Jesus reminds us that true happiness is found in God, not simply in wealth, comfort, popularity, or worldly success.

The Beatitudes invite us to trust God even in moments of hunger, hardship, sorrow, and rejection. Our present circumstances do not have the final word. God sees our struggles and promises us His Kingdom.

Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus, when we face hardship, disappointment, or uncertainty, help us not to lose hope. Teach us to seek our happiness in You rather than in the things of this world. Strengthen those who are struggling today and remind us that Your Kingdom is our lasting hope. Amen.

Whatever today brings, keep your eyes on Christ. ✝️

Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Gospel: Matthew 1:1–16, 18–23

Today, the Church celebrates the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the woman chosen by God to become the Mother of our Saviour.

Mary's life reminds us that God can use an ordinary life for a great purpose when it is surrendered to Him. Her humility and obedience opened the way for Christ to enter the world.

May we learn from Mary to trust God's plan, even when we cannot see the whole path.

Let us Pray:
Heavenly Father, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, teach us to trust Your plan for our lives. Give us the humility to listen to Your voice, the courage to say yes to Your will, and the faith to remain faithful even when the way ahead is uncertain. Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and lead us closer to your Son. Amen.

May Mary's faith inspire us to say yes to God each day. ✝️

Gospel: Luke 6:6–11

Jesus asks, “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath rather than to do evil?”

Today, Christ reminds us that our faith must lead us to acts of goodness and mercy. We should never allow fear, prejudice, or concern for appearances to stop us from doing what is right.

As we begin this week, may we be ready to notice those who need our help and respond with love.

Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus, open our eyes to the needs of those around us. Give us the courage to do what is right, the compassion to help those in need, and the wisdom to recognise every opportunity to show Your love. May our actions today bear witness to our faith. Amen.

Sunday Mass - Gospel Reflection

Today’s Gospel reminds us that we are not passive members of the Church. Each of us has a part to play in building our parish community, caring for God’s creation, and looking out for one another.

When a brother or sister goes astray, Christ calls us to correct them with love and help them find the right path. We are called to be our brother’s and sister’s keeper.

As we go forth this week, let us put our faith into action. Participate, care, speak with love, and take responsibility for the Church and the community God has entrusted to us.

Together, let us build a stronger Church and a better home for all.
