THE HOMILY OF THE NFCS EXAM SUCCESS MASS
BY FR. Donatus Tim
DATE: 30TH APRIL, 2026

THEME: WITH GOD, SUCCESS IS POSSIBLE

The homilist assured the students that by the mention of God’s name, everything is possible. He encouraged all students to take their studies seriously by reading and studying their books diligently. He further advised that students should not only read but also understand what they study.

He encouraged students not to rely on others or themselves alone, but to put their trust in God in order to succeed with good grades. He also reminded them that success comes through effort, consistency, and faith.

He spoke about the challenges students face during exams. Some students may feel confused, anxious, or emotionally stressed while reading. Others may experience fear or forgetfulness. However, he encouraged students not to give up because, with God, all things are possible.

He further encouraged students to be hardworking, disciplined, and prayerful. He advised them to put in their best efforts, remain focused, and avoid distractions. He also urged them to strengthen their relationship with God and always call on Him for guidance.

Finally, he prayed for all students, asking God to grant them success in their exams and to crown their efforts with excellent results.

HOMILY FOR EASTER SUNDAY

BY VERY REV. FR. DR. Awoshiri Williams

DATE: 6th April, 2026

THEME: The Lord Has Risen

Easter is the most magnificent feast of the year. It is the celebration of a mission accomplished, the feast of all feasts. As St. Athanasius described it, Easter stands above every other celebration in the Church.

The Resurrection of Christ signifies a great transformation in our lives. It assures us of many important truths. Firstly, it is the foundation of our faith. Secondly, it proves the divinity of Jesus Christ. Through His Resurrection, He has given us new life and hope.

My brothers and sisters, the Resurrection teaches us that death has been conquered. Easter reminds us to take care of our bodies, as St. Paul teaches that our bodies are members of Christ. Therefore, we must live in a way that honors God.

Easter is a feast that gives us hope. It reminds us that life is worth living. Just as night gives way to dawn, so also does sorrow give way to joy through the Resurrection. Without the Resurrection, life would have no true meaning.
Lessons to Learn During Easter

1. Truth cannot be buried.
No matter how long it is hidden, the truth will always rise again.

2. We are called to be true disciples of Jesus.
From beginning to the end, Jesus is not looking for perfect people, but for willing hearts, those ready to walk with Him faithfully.
Do not be afraid of challenges.

3. Just as the women at the tomb overcame fear, we too must remain strong in faith.
Perseverance is key.

4. If you cannot finish something, do not hesitate to start again. Growth comes through persistence.

5. The Resurrection strengthens our faith.
It reminds us that God is always at work in our lives.

Conclusion
My dear brothers and sisters, let us rejoice in the Risen Lord. May this Easter renew our faith, strengthen our hope, and deepen our love for Christ.

May we carry the message of the Resurrection wherever we go, and may we encounter the Risen Christ in our daily lives.
Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
