The United Methodist Church Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the South West Nigeria Annual Conference has held its first historic youth rally at Garin Dogo Eugene Wesley District, bringing together young Christians from different districts for spiritual renewal, fellowship, and social activities.
The rally, held between Thursday 21st to 24th, May 2026,, featured a series of activities aimed at strengthening the faith and moral values of youths within the church. Highlights of the programme included Bible studies, praise and worship sessions, football matches, and teachings focused on contemporary challenges facing young people.
One of the major sessions, Bible Study, centered on the theme “Revive Us Again,” where participants were encouraged to embrace spiritual renewal and deepen their commitment to God and the ministry of the church.
Another important teaching titled “Peer Pressure and Their Influence” was delivered by Deacon Titus Silas. The session examined the negative impact of peer pressure on young people and stressed the importance of making godly and responsible decisions.

The closing service on Sunday was attended by Bishop Ande Emmanuel, who charged the youths to remain committed to the life and ministry of the church and to live as worthy ambassadors of Jesus Christ in their various communities.
The Bishop encouraged the participants to uphold Christian virtues and remain steadfast in faith despite societal pressures and challenges confronting young people today.
