OBITUARY NOTICE

With deep sorrow but total submission to the will of Almighty God, the family of the Late Mrs. Melody Joseph Garba announces her passing.

She was born on 23rd November, 1975, and peacefully departed this life on 12th July, 2026, at the age of 51. Though her transition is painful, we are comforted by the hope and promise of eternal rest in Christ.

Family, friends, relatives, and well-wishers are kindly invited to join us in honoring her life at the following events:

The Minister, Rev. Timothy Ishaya, ministered on the topic "Children Are God's Given Arrows," drawing his text from Psalm 127:3–5 and Proverbs 22:6.

In his sermon, Rev. Ishaya emphasized that children are a precious heritage and reward from God. He explained that just as an arrow must be carefully crafted and sharpened before it becomes effective, every child must be intentionally nurtured, trained, and guided to fulfill God's purpose. He reminded parents that while God is the giver of children, He has entrusted them with the sacred responsibility of raising their children according to His will.

The preacher noted that many Christian families are facing challenges today because of misplaced priorities, resulting in children who lack the fear of God. He therefore urged parents to return to biblical principles in raising their children.

Highlighting three key ways to sharpen God's arrows, Rev. Ishaya encouraged parents to:

1. Instill the fear of God in their children by diligently teaching them God's Word, as instructed in Deuteronomy 6:6–9.
2. Build a strong church foundation by encouraging their children to love God's house, participate actively in church activities, discover their spiritual gifts, and live disciplined, righteous lives, following the example of Joshua 24:15.
3. Provide quality education and teach the value of hard work, helping children develop useful skills, responsibility, and self-reliance.

In conclusion, Rev. Timothy Ishaya called on parents and guardians to intentionally raise their children in the fear of the Lord by giving them sound biblical instruction, quality education, and godly discipline. He stressed that when children are properly trained, they become effective arrows in God's hands, equipped to fulfill His purpose and overcome the challenges of the world.
