SUNDAY SERVICE 04/10/2026
Theme: In the world with women that know their God
Topic: We can make a difference
Text: Esther 4:13-17

*Introduction*
Can we make a difference in our life as compared to Esther.

We must learn from the life of Esther. What we hear from a far has come to our door step.

Esther's Life:

1. Esther was humble as in 4:14. She was an orphan that obey her uncle. How do we nurture our children. Humble and let God use you for the kingdom. Learn to humble so that others will learn to be humble. How do we train the children around us; to be humble before God and His people. We have to make a difference.

2. We need to have confidence. There's a purpose you are created to be a member of your family, church and your community not by coincidence. God knows the ends from the beginning.

3. We need to be prayerful. Esther was a prayerful woman as seen in Esther 4:16. Esther instructed the Jews to fast and pray. Are you fasting and praying for yourself, family and the church at large? You have to make a difference and do not conform to this world. You must not wait for instructions to be prayerful. You have to live a prayerful life.
4. Esther was courageous as seen in 4:16b; she confronted the King with courage. What are you doing for God today? Are you afraid. Do not entertain fear. She was a woman of courage, she said if I perish I perish.

5. Relationship: Esther and Mordecai were closely related. How is your relationship with God and men? Build a relationship with God. Jesus Christ should be your Lord and Savior. You have to also build relationships with men. There's a purpose for your being in every where you go. How is your relationship in your working place, your neighbors and the people around you?

The relationship you build today will honor you tomorrow. Do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ? Build a relationship with Christ today and your life will never remain the same.

RCCN KUFAI MARKS SPECIAL WIDOW’S DAY SERVICE

Jalingo — September 27, 2026: The Reformed Church of Christ in Nigeria (RCCN), Kufai, Jalingo, on Sunday, September 27, 2026, held a special Sunday service to commemorate Widow’s Day, celebrating the widows of the church with joy, thanksgiving, and prayers.

The service featured a special ministration of the Word by Mrs. Mercy Williams who spoke on the topic, “The Kingdom Lifestyle.”

Taking her biblical texts from Romans 12:1–2, Romans 6:13, 16, and 1 Thessalonians 5:23b, 18, Mrs. Williams charged the congregation to live lives that are distinct from the values and practices of the world.

In her sermon, she emphasized the need for Christians to demonstrate their identity in Christ through their daily conduct.

«“If we say that we are not of the world, we are supposed to be different. We should emulate the lifestyle of the Bible. When we give our life to Christ, our body has become for Jesus, so we cannot use it to sin.”»

She further explained that the body, soul, and mind are interconnected, stressing that sin committed through the body affects the whole person. She cautioned believers against contaminating their bodies while claiming that God is only concerned about the heart.

“We are in the world but not of the world. Let us not behave like the people of the world. If not because of the mercy of God, we would have been consumed by the enemies,” she stated.

Mrs. Williams, in conclusion, admonished Christians, particularly the widows, to remain steadfast in their faith and avoid conforming to worldly practices. She encouraged them to embrace a true Kingdom lifestyle that honors and glorifies God.

The service concluded with special prayers for the widows, followed by thanksgiving and expressions of appreciation for their lives and contributions to the church.

RCCN KOFAI ATC JALINGO HOLDS ZUMUNTA MAZA SPECIAL DAY

Jalingo, Taraba State — 20 September 2026

RCCN Kofai ATC Jalingo on Sunday, 20 September 2026, held its Zumunta Maza Special Day during the Sunday worship service, with Eld. D. S. Azwenti as the guest speaker.

Speaking on the topic “Wisdom to Live in the World,” with texts from 1 Corinthians 1:20 and 1 Peter 1:2, Eld. Azwenti emphasized the need for believers to depend on God's wisdom in navigating the challenges and temptations of the world.

He explained that although the world has advanced greatly in knowledge, there are still broken homes, broken relationships and broken lives, demonstrating that human knowledge alone cannot provide the wisdom needed for successful living.

According to him, Christ is not only the way to wisdom but also the perfect example of wisdom, and believers must therefore follow His pattern of life.

FOOTPRINTS FOR LIVING IN THIS WICKED WORLD

1. Receive Christ's Wisdom

Eld. Azwenti stated that living successfully in a sinful world requires the wisdom of God. While worldly wisdom may help a person navigate life on earth, the wisdom of Christ leads to eternal life.

He encouraged believers to receive Christ's wisdom and allow Him to direct their decisions and daily lives.

2. The Wisdom of Prayer

The speaker emphasized the importance of prayer, pointing out that Jesus regularly withdrew to pray, particularly before making important decisions.

He encouraged believers to begin their day with God before becoming occupied with their daily activities.

“Start your day with God before starting your day with your phone,” he admonished, warning believers not to allow phones, social media and other activities to take the place of God in their lives.

3. The Wisdom of Humility

Referencing Philippians 2:3–5, Eld. Azwenti called on believers to embrace humility and avoid pride.

He noted that believers should learn to forgive, understand others and avoid the constant desire to prove themselves right. According to him, humility promotes peace and healthy relationships and reflects the example of Christ.

4. The Wisdom of Doing the Father's Will

Drawing from John 4:34, where Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work,” the speaker challenged believers to make God's will the foundation of their decisions.

He encouraged members to ask themselves, before entering relationships, making major decisions or beginning new ventures: “Is this the will of the Father?”

He stressed that obedience to God is one of the greatest expressions of wisdom.

5. The Wisdom of Thanksgiving

Speaking from Luke 2:21, Eld. Azwenti encouraged believers to cultivate a lifestyle of thanksgiving, noting that gratitude should not depend solely on favourable circumstances.

He urged the congregation to appreciate God for whatever they have, no matter how little, and to recognize His goodness in every situation.

CONCLUSION

Concluding the message, Eld. Azwenti urged believers to stop pursuing worldly wisdom at the expense of God's wisdom and to intentionally follow the ways of Christ.

He encouraged the congregation to pray, remain humble, obey God's will and give thanks in every situation, emphasizing that these qualities help believers remain faithful while living in a challenging world.

He prayed that God would give His people the wisdom to live in the world without becoming part of its sinful ways and protect them from the schemes of the devil.

The service ended with a renewed call for believers to make Christ their example, wisdom and guide.
