📌 Adversity is for all humanity except in Christ. – Psalm 30:5
📌 Be an overcomer if you run the race.
📌 All believers are in the race. II Timothy 4:6–8, Romans 11:32
📌 Despite the challenges, His grace is sufficient according to your level of challenge.
📌 In every game, there are rules that guide you to be a champion. 1 John 3:16

CHARACTERISTICS OF A CHAMPION
1. Champions deny themselves.
2. Champions are focused, persevering. Proverbs 9
3. They walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16, Luke 9:62
4. Champions never quit. Luke 9:62
5. Have good leadership qualities.
6. Involve everybody, not self-centered.
7. Avoid debt temptation.
8. Team work.
9. Live a sacrificial life. Romans 12:1
10. Legacy – leave a legacy behind.

The First Epistle to Timothy
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…”

📌 There is no success without contention. Every meaningful achievement in life comes with resistance, sacrifice, and determination. As believers, we are called to stand firm, persevere, and contend for our faith, purpose, and destiny.

SCRIPTURAL REFERENCES
Philippians 2:12-13

MESSAGE
Salvation means deliverance. The Greek word for salvation is “Sozo,” which means “to save,” “to rescue,” or “to preserve.”

📌 Through Christ, we have been saved from sin and called into a victorious life.

📌 Life itself is a battlefield. If you do not give life a fight, life may give you a fall. Challenges, opposition, temptations, and difficulties are realities every believer will face. However, God expects Christians to live with purpose, courage, endurance, and determination in order to accomplish their God-given goals.

📌 The Greek word for “fight” is “Agonizō,” meaning to struggle, strive, labor fervently, or contend earnestly. This shows that the Christian journey is not for the lazy or careless, but for those who are willing to persevere in faith.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FIGHT?
1. To contend with adversaries.
2. To contend with difficulties and dangers.
3. To strive to obtain something valuable.
4. To make conscious effort to accomplish a goal.
5. To labor fervently and persistently.

HOW TO FIGHT A GOOD FIGHT
1. Have a Strong Desire to Move Higher in Life
A person without vision or ambition cannot make progress. There must be a genuine hunger for growth, improvement, and fulfillment of purpose. Refuse to remain stagnant.

2. Fight in the Place of Prayer
Epistle to the Philippians teaches us to pray instead of worrying. Prayer strengthens the believer, brings divine direction, and gives peace in the midst of battles. Victory is first won in the spiritual realm before it manifests physically.

3. Fight Poverty with Seriousness
God does not encourage laziness. Engage yourself in something productive, meaningful, and profitable. Hard work, diligence, and responsibility are necessary for advancement in life.

Book of Proverbs encourages us to learn from the ant, while Book of Proverbs reminds us that the diligent soul shall be made fat. Avoid idleness as warned in The First Epistle to Timothy.

CONCLUSION
The Christian life is a fight of faith, not a life of defeat. God has given us the grace, strength, and ability to overcome every obstacle. Therefore, remain steadfast, prayerful, hardworking, and focused. Fight the good fight faithfully until victory is achieved.

Message Title: Keep the Fire Burning (1)
Text: The First Epistle of Peter 2:9; Leviticus 6:12–13

INTRODUCTION
God chose us; we did not choose ourselves. He selected us for a divine purpose. In this New Testament, we have been made priests unto God, and we are called to serve at the altar between us and Him.
As priests, we are expected to proclaim the acts and goodness of God. However, to effectively carry out this assignment, the fire on our altar must continually burn. This fire represents the presence of God in our lives.

HOW TO KEEP THE FIRE BURNING
1. Spend Consistent and Quality Time with God
(Colossians 4:2)
Consistent prayer keeps your spiritual life alive. Do not be the kind of person who quenches the fire in others. If you must fulfil your purpose in life, you must remain spiritually active and steadfast in fellowship with God.

2. Remove Every Spiritual Ashes
Spiritual ashes may include:
a. Unforgiveness
b. Envy
c. Bitterness
d. Jealousy
e. Anger
f. Secret sins
These things weaken spiritual fire and hinder our relationship with God.

3. Feed the Fire Regularly
The fire must never go out. Without fuel, fire will quench. Spiritually, the fire is sustained through:
a. Encouragement
b. Fellowship
c. Worship
d. Sound teachings
Obedience to your pastor and the Word of God
(Ephesians 4:29)
May the fire of God upon our lives never go out. Amen.

“I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 9:1–2)

Welcome to the Month of Praise, a special season set aside to lift our hearts, voices, and lives in total adoration to God. This is a time to return to the essence of worship, where praise is not just an activity but a lifestyle expressed daily with sincerity and gratitude.

In this month, we are reminded to praise God with our whole heart holding nothing back, giving Him our complete devotion regardless of circumstances. Praise is not based on what we see, but on who God is: faithful, unchanging, and ever worthy.
We are also called to declare His marvelous works to testify of His goodness, recount His faithfulness, and boldly share the wonders He has done in our lives. When we speak of His works, we strengthen our faith and inspire others to trust in Him.

May this month ignite in us a spirit of joy and gladness, where praise becomes our response in every situation whether in abundance or in waiting. As we rejoice in Him, our burdens are lifted, our hearts are renewed, and our strength is restored.
