𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻?

The Great Commission has not changed. The territory has.

During Thursday’s session on Harnessing Effective Online Evangelism, we were reminded that effective digital evangelism begins with a genuine walk with Christ. Before we represent Him online, we must know Him, experience His transforming power, and allow our lives to reflect the message we proclaim.

The digital space has become a vast mission field. Through social media, short-form videos, livestreams, conversations, comments, and personal testimonies, we can reach people who may never walk into a church building.

But the goal is not simply to gain likes, shares, or visibility. The Gospel must remain at the centre.

We must understand the people we are trying to reach without changing the message we have been commissioned to preach.

Today, we celebrate God’s faithfulness upon your life and the grace He has given you to serve His Kingdom.

Your leadership, wisdom, sacrifice, and passion for the harvest have been a blessing to many. We are grateful for your investment in the work of the Gospel and for the example you continue to set.

As you begin another year, may the Lord renew your strength, increase your wisdom, and reward your labour of love. May He grant you greater fruitfulness, divine favour, good health, and abundant joy as you continue to serve Him.

Before we take the Gospel to others, our own lives must reflect the Christ we proclaim. Our words matter, but so does the life behind those words.

Campus is a mission field filled with more than students. Lecturers, non-academic staff, and other members of the university community are all part of the people God has placed within our reach.

Among them are future leaders, nation builders, and people whose lives can impact generations.

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀.

As Mr. Macus Koltabe reminded us, contextualizing evangelism requires us to understand our campus, develop our lives, and faithfully communicate Christ within the context God has placed us.

Yesterday’s Words & Varieties Service was a powerful reminder of our dependence on the Holy Spirit in fulfilling God’s purpose.

The Holy Spirit does not only empower us to proclaim the Gospel; He 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 to fulfil the work God has entrusted to us.

𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧:

𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

We are called to listen to the Holy Spirit, follow His leading, and remain faithful to the specific assignment God has given each of us, without comparing our journey with that of others.

There are lives to reach, people to serve, and opportunities to make Christ known.

To fulfil this mandate effectively, we must depend on the 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁.

Yesterday’s service was more than a gathering; it was a reminder of our calling to 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁, 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲.
