Don't lose your faith because of Valentine.

It is my responsibility as one set over this house of God, House of KHC to bring you a word, a warning and an encouragement as regards the coming Valentine's Day.
That day was intended to be a day for celebration of love from human perspective, (there is a much darker and brutal history about Valentine day, which I don’t want to go into now) but I believe, as the devil would always do, the day has been hijacked for several attacks especially at believers.
The scriptures aptly tells us that
2Co 2:11 (KJV) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
We should not be ignorant of the devil's devices.
I will quickly write this morning to three categories of people as led of God.
1. Those who are not in a relationship
2. Those who are in courtship
3. Married Couples
1. Those who are not in a relationship
You will have a lot of pressure around this time and particularly on that day if you lack God-confidence.
It is around this time that the devil will suggest to you that something is wrong with you. Your friends will not help matters as they discuss how they will spend that day with that special someone!
Some will even tell you that they are about to gladly lose their virginity on that day!
They would make comments like, “Are you telling me that you have no Val?
Last time I checked my Bible, I didn't see there that “Thou must celebrate Valentine day,” or Thou must have a Valentine lover.”
If you have nobody to take you out on that day, take yourself out if you must go out! Otherwise, stay at home, and turn that “pain” into prayer time with God!
Look for a church where a talk or programme is going on and be a part rather than sulk at home. At our church in Ibadan, it is a day of concert, teachings, and partying… or else we would could unwittingly allow the fox to tamper with the young lambs…
The reason most believers get their faith messed up on that day is because they are lonely and have nowhere to go, they simply dress up and follow someone to a place they will later regret.
It is on record that the most sexual perversion are perpetrated on
valentine day. The most hearts are broken, and the most cheating takes place.
As children of God, we should not allow the world to enter into us.
Don't stay with someone alone in the room on that day! The demons behind lust and perversion are on over drive on that day. Compromise is easiest in that day.
And one night of Valentine had left a lot of people bound to the altar of compromise and lust thereafter, even years after.
Do not go out with somebody who has been asking you for jeru trap before. That day, he is more than prepared to desecrate you.
Beware of girlfriends who have been asking you directly for jeru trap. That day, she is more than ready to seduce you and make your knees weaken before Baal.
That day is not a day to decide to just go out with that man who is married! What will a man who is married be doing with a single lady on Valentine day! He has only one thing in mind, and if he has to use drugs, he would! Be careful.
Valentine day is not a day to meet someone in a Guest house for a business meeting. The business meeting will end up being a senseless and a useless meeting.
Kindly tell the married man, “Sir, you are supposed to be with your wife that day!”
Don’t give attention to such destiny destroyers, who will promise you heaven and earth but will end up slowing your destiny down. May your path not cross with such people!
One mistake on that day can lead to many years of regrets. That day is not a day to allow somebody you barely know to start kissing you because it's Valentine day. There are people you kiss once and your jaw are locked forever. It took only one kiss from Judas for Jesus to be sold! Do not sell your destiny because of pressures of Valentine’s day.
Let God know that you are indeed ready for that man, that woman that is meant for you by your maturity on that day.
Prove to God on that day that you are secure in Him and that you trust Him as your Shepherd and that He will not abandon you!
Also, that day might be a day that someone is planning to ask you out! That is okay as long as he is a believer. But don't ever make a mistake of following him to his house.
When you follow a guy home on the Valentine’s day, he will sleep with you! You don't need a word of knowledge to know that.
He is at his weakest point on that day! And you are too! So two emotionally weak people on a Valentine’s day have finished themselves!
Do not follow him or her to the house, guest house, or some secluded place!
Again a lady might ask that you take her out on that day. There is no problem with that, but you should know that she is already giving you a “Yes” even before proposing. Do not propose under duress if you are not led of God to do so.
It is better to keep your mouth shut than to express some love that is not coming from your heart only to break the sister’s heart later by saying, God is not leading me!
I think I should stop here this morning. Tomorrow, I will continue by writing to those who are in courtship and those that are married.
I want you to know that “Val” on “No Val,” with it or without it, God has a plan for you and nobody, nothing, can stop that plan, except you! Do not allow Valentine day to tamper with the greatness that lies ahead of you.
You will still get married, you will raise a great family, you will be used of God mightily. Be filled with joy that day and every other day, do not allow pressures from people or environment to steal your joy!
Protect your joy and be grateful to God that you are still alive! The dead do not even have a Valentine’ day! But that you are still alive and well is an indication that God has a plan for you and that plan will come to pass in Jesus name!
Stay strong, stay encouraged, God has a plan for you!

If you believe in Him send this to ten women including me. Be honest and send this to anyone who makes you smile

LETTER TO NIGERIAN PARENTS.
Let me add the benefit of my time as a student and then resident in the UK. Living in Abuja now. The first thing that I discovered about UK-born, white, English undergraduates was that all of them did holiday or weekend job to support themselves – including the children of millionaires amongst them. It is the norm over there – regardless of how wealthy their parents are. And I soon discovered that virtually all other foreign students did the same – except status – conscious Nigerians.

I also watched Richard Branson (owner of Virgin Airline) speaking on the Biography Channel. To my amazement, he said that his young children travel in the economy class – even when the parents (he and his wife) are in upper class. Richard Branson is a billionaire in Pound sterling. A quick survey would show you that only children from Nigeria fly business or upper class to commence their studies in the Uk. No other foreign students do this. There is no aircraft attached to the office of the Prime Minister in the UK. He travels on BA. And the same goes for the Royals. The Queen does not have an aircraft for her exclusive use.

These practices simply become the culture which the next generation carries forward. Have you seen the car that Kate Middleton (the wife of Prince William) drives? VW Golf or something close to it. But there’s one core difference between them and us (generally speaking), they(even the billionaires among them) work for their money, most of us steal ours

If we want our children to bring about the desired change we have been praying for on behalf of our dear country, then please, please let’s begin now and teach them to work hard so they can stand alone and most importantly be content and not having t “steal” which seems to be the norm these days.

We have Nigerian Children who have never worked for 5 minutes in their lives insisting on flying “only” first or business class and using the latest cars fully paid for by their “loving “ parents.

I often get calls from anxious parents”my son graduated 2 years ago and is still looking for a job, can you please assist!”

“Oh really! So where exactly is “THIS CHILD?” is my usual question. “Why are you the one making this call dad/mum?

I am yet to get a satisfactory answer, but between you and me, chances are that the big boy is cruising around Abuja with a babe dresses to the nines, in his dad’s spanking new SUV with enough “pocket money” to put your salary to shame. It is not at all strange to hear a 28 year old who has NEVER worked for a day in his or her life in Nigeria but “earns” a six figure “salary” from parents for doing absolutely nothing

I see them in my office once in a while, 26 years old with absolutely no skill to sell apart from a shiny CV, written by his dad’s secretary in the office. Of course, he has a driver at his beck and call and he is driven to the job interview. We have a fairly decent conversation and we get to the inevitable question- so, what salary are you looking to earn? Answer comes straight out – N250,000.00. I ask if that is per month or per annum.

“Of course, it is per month”

“Oh, why do you think you should be earning that much on your first job?”

“Well, because my current pocket money is N200,000.00 and I feel any employer should be able to pay me more than my parents.”

No wonder corruption continues to thrive. We have a society of young people who have been brought up to expect something for nothing, as if it were a birthright. Even though the examples I have given above are from parents of considerable affluence, similar patterns can be observed from Abeokuta to Adamawa.

Wake up mum! Wake up dad! This syndrome – “my children will not suffer what I suffered is destroying your tomorrow. You are practically loving your child to death.

I learnt the children of a former Nigeria Head of State with all the stolen(billions) monies in their custody, still go about with security es**rt as wrecks. They are on drugs, several time because of the drug, they collapse in public places. The es**rt will quickly pack them and off they go. What a life! No one wants to marry them.

Henry Ford said “hard work does not kill.” We are getting everything wrong in Nigeria now, including family setting. It is time to prepare your children for tomorrow, the way the world is going, only those that are rugged, hard working and smart working that will survive. How will your ward fare?

The Suitcase. . .

A man died and when he realized it, he saw God coming closer with a suitcase in His Hand. The following conversation ensued between them:

God - Alright son, it's time to go.
Surprised, the man responded:
Now? So soon? I had a lot of plans...
God - I'm sorry but it's time to go.
Man - What do you have in that suitcase?
God - Your belongings.
Man - My belongings? You mean my things, my clothes, my money?
God - Those things were not yours; they belonged to the earth.
Man - Is it my memories?
God - Those never belonged to you; they belonged to Time
Man - Is it my talents?
God - Those were never yours; they belonged to the circumstances of your life.
Man - Is it my friends and family?
God - I'm sorry; they were never yours. They belonged to the path.
Man - Is it my wife and children?
God - They were never yours; they belonged to your heart.
Man - Is it my body?
God - That was never yours; it belonged to the dust.
Man - Is it my soul?
God - No that is mine.

Full of fear, the man took the suitcase from God and opened it. . . just to find out the suitcase was empty.

With tears coming down his cheek, the man said:
Man - I never had anything???
God - That is correct. Every moment you lived were the only belongings you had.

👤 This is a great lesson. Life is just a moment - a moment that belongs to only you. For this reason, enjoy your time and use it wisely while you have it. Don't let any material thing that you think you own or that you are struggling to acquire stop you from doing so.

- Live Now!
- Live your life.
- Don't forget to be happy; that is the only thing that matters.
- Material things and everything else that you fought for stay here.
- Your primary duty is to serve & worship your Creator.

- YOU CAN'T TAKE ANYTHING

- It is only a pure heart, repentance and the fear of God that follow you.
- Live for God and at the end, He will reward you.

An Exchanged Life

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

The Christian life is an exchanged life. Jesus’ life for your life. When Christ takes control, your life takes on dimensions you would never have known apart from Him. When you are weak, then Christ demonstrates His strength in your life (2 Cor. 12:9–10). When you face situations that are beyond your comprehension, you have only to ask, and the infinite wisdom of God is available to you (James 1:5). When you are faced with humanly impossible situations, God does the impossible (Luke 18:27). When you encounter people whom you find difficult to love, God expresses His unconditional love through you (1 John 4:7). When you are at a loss as to what you should pray for someone, the Spirit will guide you in your prayer life (Rom. 8:16). When Christ takes up residence in the life of a believer, “all the fullness of God” is available to that person (Eph. 3:19).

It is marvelously freeing to know that God controls your life and knows what it can become. Rather than constantly worrying about what you will face, your great challenge is to continually release every area of your life to God’s control. The temptation will be to try to do by yourself what only God can do. Our assignment is to “abide in the vine” and to allow God to do in and through us what only He can do (John 15:5). Only God can be God. Allow Him to live out His divine life through you. He is the only One who can.

IS NIGERIA GOING THE WAY OF TURKEY?
•Turkey is in the present day Europe and
partly in Asia minor.
•Apostle Paul was a citizen of Tukey
because Tarsus exists in Turkey.
•Christianity existed in Turkey for about
1,023 years while Christianity has only
existed in Nigeria for 172yrs starting
from when Rev. Birch Freeman came to
Badagry in 1842.
•The seven churches Jesus spoke to in
Revelations 2&3(Ephesus,Smy
rna,Laodicea,Philadelphia,etc)existed in
the old Turkey.
•The disciples were first called Christians
in Turkey(Antioch)
•Turkey once had the largest Christian
auditorium in Europe called Hagia
Sophia in Constantinople.
•Mary the mother of Jesus was taken to
Turkey by Apostle John and till date, her
room has become a tourist centre.
TURKEY TODAY
•Present day Turkey now has 96%
muslims&0.02% Christians(less than
130,000).
•The Hagia Sophia(once largest church
in Europe) was taken over by muslims
and converted to a mosque for over
400yrs and later used as an Islamic
Museum
WHYCHRISTIANITY COLLAPSED IN
TURKEY
•Emphasis on doctrinal differences
weakened the Turkish church.
•Rivalries amongst denominations
•Petty politics in church coupled with
ethnic biase
•The Turks were building big cathedrals
instead of building men.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Osman Ghazi discovered the disunity
amongst Christians and used it to fight a
Jihad that led to a mass genocide of the
Armenians, the Hellen and Turks of that
day. Infact, the weapon of war used was
designed by a Turkish Christian.
•Many Christian women converted to
Islam to save their lives and some were
r***d.
•Osman Ghazi started the Ottoman
empire which gave muslims political
post and made it a religion of the state.
IS NIGERIA HEADING THE WAY OF
TURKEY
•Virtually all the mistakes the church in
Turkey made, the Nigerian church has
made it.
•We are building Cathedrals at the
expense of discipling men.
•Disunity amongst churches
•Ethnicity in the church
•Denominational rivalry, etc.
•Sharp division along doctrinal lines
MORE FACTS
•The spiritual foundation of Turkey is
stronger than that of Nigeria and
Christianity existed for over 1000yrs in
Turkey unlike ours which is just 172yrs
but Islam Radicalism uprooted it. If it
can happen in Turkey, it can also
happen IF we are not careful.
•The menace of Boko Haram has
destroyed a lot of churches in the north
and it may take another 200yrs to
evangelise Borno state alone.
•There is a secret agenda to Islamize
Nigeria&other African nations as
contained in Abuja declaration of 1989.
DON'T SAY IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE, IF
WE DON'T RIGHT OUR WRONGS AS A
CHURCH.
SOLUTION
•HEART-FELT Intercession
•Aggressive evangelism- the terrorist
reached out to the youths in the norths
first and gave them AK-47 and bombs, if
we had reached out to them on time,
they'll be carrying BIBLES today.
•Mission support:-God is holding the
church responsible for Boko Haram, yet
we are blaming the governement.If we
had supported missions and
missionaries, we would have those
insurgents to Christ long ago.
•Unity of the church is key in winning
this battle. The last but not the least
christians should be actively involve in
politics. Enough of these muslims
political office holder with islamic
agenda
