RAMADAN BEGINS TOMORROW

Under the leadership of the Muslim Obas in Yorubaland, led by Oba Dr. Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, the Emir of Yorubaland, and in collaboration with the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, (those who adhere to the teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad ), in accordance with the official announcement of the Sultan of Sokoto, fasting for 1447 A.H. will commence tomorrow, 18th February 2026.

The Sultanate received reports of Ramadan crescent sightings from three different locations within Nigeria, and these claims were confirmed by the authorities in the respective areas where the sightings were reported. His Eminence is currently abroad, and an official announcement will soon be made by the Shehu of Borno, who is the deputy president general of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

بيان حول تحري هلال شهر رمضان المبارك.

الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على الرسول الأمين وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.

وبعد، فإن سماحة مفتي بلاد يوروبا الشيخ داود عمران ملاسا يدعو المسلمين اليوم إلى تحري هلال رمضان اتباعا لما ورد عن قدوتنا رسول الله وتمسكا بما عليه سلفنا الصالحون، كما يحذر من نبذ ما صحت به السنة وراء الظهر وتقديم أقوال الفلكيين عليها؛ فإن ذلك من الضلال المبين.

ثم يؤكد على وجوب اعتماد ما يصدره المجلس الأعلى للشؤون الإسلامية برئاسة الحاج سعد أبو بكر؛ فذلك ما فيه توحيد الصف واجتماع الكلمة.

وأخيرا، يذكرنا جميعا أن شهر رمضان فرصة عظيمة قد لا تتكرر لبعض الناس، فلنغتنمها كأنها الأخير، ونستثمرها في الطاعة وكثرة التضرع إلى الله بالدعاء، ونستغلها في الدعاء لأمتنا الإسلامية بأن يصلح أحوالها وللمستضعفين من المسلمين بأن ينصرهم على أعدائنا وأعدائهم ولبلادنا بالأمن والأمان والاستقرار والرخاء.
