T.L. and Daisy Osborn were both powerful teachers and preachers of faith, and proven in miracle evangelism overseas. They influenced hundreds of preachers to turn from dull religion to dynamic redemption with faith and power. Tens of thousands of non-Christian people were convinced of the gospel and made public decision s to accept Christ. Multitudes were added to the churches wherever their crusades were conducted.
After the summer in the United States, T. L. and Daisy went to Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Central and South America. Everywhere they went, the results were invariably the same, regardless of national heritage, religion or cultural background.
In 1950, T.L. reported over 18,000 conversions in twelve days in Puerto Rico. In January, 1951, he reported 50,000 in Camaguey, Cuba. In 1952, he was arrested in Punto Fijo, Venezuela, for witchcraft. This happened as a result of the healings that were reported to doctors and the Roman Catholic priests.

OUR GREAT NEED

I want to speak this afternoon of Pentecost and the fullness of the Spirit, and of what God is able to do with any man who is yielded to Him. We are here today for one purpose, and that is to kindle one another with a holier zeal than ever has possessed us before. I believe there is a greater need for us today in the world than ever. There is a more broken spirit abroad in our land than for a long time past, and no one can meet the need today but the man filled with God. God has promised to fill us. You may be filled with the mighty power of God, and yet in a way not realize it, and yet know that you are being used by a power apart from yourself, a power that keeps you from self-exhibition. Just as the sun by its mighty power brings certain resources to nature, so I believe the power of God in the human soul, the power filling it with Himself, is capable, by living faith, of bringing about what otherwise could never be accomplished. May God by His Spirit this afternoon prepare us for what He has to say.

In June of 1946, Branham returned to St. Louis and conducted a twelve-day meeting to preach and pray for the sick. The tent was packed with many people standing outside, even in the torrential rains. Tremendous manifestations took place as the lame walked, the blind saw, and the deaf heard. A minister who had been blind for twenty years received his sight, a woman who rejected the Spirit of God fell dead outside the tent from a heart attack Branham went out to her and prayed. She arose and found salvation in Jesus Christ. The healings multiplied and grew beyond count. Branham often stayed until 2:00 am, praying
for the sick.

From St. Louis, he was asked to hold a revival in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where some twenty-five thousand people attended the meetings. During this meeting, Branham slipped out of the service to go inside an ambulance where an elderly woman had died. After praying a simple prayer, the Woman sat up and hugged her husband. There were so many people standing against the back door of the ambulance that it could not be opened for Branham to leave. So the ambulance driver held his coat over the front window so Branham could leave through the front door." One woman, who had driven hundreds of miles, made a tearful attempt to describe to others the humility, compassion, and meekness of Branham.
When she looked at Branham, she said "all she saw was Jesus," adding that "You will never be the same after seing him".

“When John G. Lake departed Africa after five years of ministry (in 1913), he left behind 125 white congregations and 500 native ones. Although he possessed a strong constitution, the strain of the work plus the responsibility of caring for a large family made it necessary for him to return to America. Late in the year of 1913 he was married to Miss Florence Switzer.

Dr. Lake went to Spokane. After looking around he decided to set up healing rooms in the city. (…) It is estimated that some 100,000 healings occurred during that time.
In fact the reports of miracles of healing became so numerous that eventually a Committee from the Better Business Bureau was chosen to investigate the truthfulness of all the public announcements appearing in the city papers. (…)

Lake then suggested to the (Better Business Bureau) committee that on Sunday, June 23 at three o’clock in the afternoon, at their public service, they would present 100 cases of healed persons for their investigation and invited them to form a committee composed of physicians, lawyers, judges, educators and businessmen who should render a verdict.

On Friday, June 21, before the great Sunday meeting. Dr. Lake received a letter from the committee assuring him that they had no desire in any way to interfere with the good which Dr. Lake was doing, and gently let themselves down so that their appearance at the Sunday meeting would not be necessary.”
