The Value of Christian Mentoring 2
As Christians your growth is hinge on having the right mentor.
The Church is a Big Family which comprise of
1. Father,
2. Mother and
3. Children.
The Children are meant to be catered for by the elders in the family who will serve as a mentor to help them grow. The Triplets Boys given to Good News Baptist Church this year is case study for our discussion. Immediately they arrived in the church 'helping hands' are already available to assist to nurture them grow during their stay in the church, hence making their development easy and monitored.
The Helping Hands stands for Mentors. This also encourages us a s children of God that we need to remain in the presence of God where helping hands are available for our growth and development.
The Big Question asked in the part one of this sermon was 'Who is Your Father's?
We as matured Christians have children we need to mentor the young christian in the church. A Christian that needs to grow must surrender themselves to Discipleship.
Who is Your Father?
This is someone who is concerned about your well-being. They are also concerned about your needs. A father is someone that chastised you when you err.
Ask your self if you have a Father who cares for your spiritual growth.
