*Christmas and End of Year Greeting*
*From the Office of the State Commandant, Girls’ Brigade Nigeria — Imo State Council.*
I extend warm Christmas greetings to every member, leader, patron, parent, and friend of our beloved organisation. As we celebrate the birth of our Saviour and mark the close of 2025, my heart overflows with gratitude for your faithfulness, sacrifice, and sisterly love. This season reminds us that hope is renewed, service is sacred, and together we are stronger.
*Year in Review*
This year has been one of visible growth, faithful service, and meaningful impact. Together we achieved much, including:
1. State Rededication Service — a powerful renewal of our commitment to God and to one another.
2. Hosting Zone 6 Meeting and Rededication Service — we welcomed sisters from across the zone and showcased Imo State’s hospitality and leadership.
3. Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Campaign — we educated, empowered, and removed stigma for many young girls.
4. Online Webinars and Seminars — we expanded learning and fellowship beyond physical boundaries.
5. State Training — we strengthened skills, leadership, and confidence across our districts.
6. Excursions to Air Force Base and Pleasure Park Port Harcourt — we created memorable learning and bonding experiences for our girls and officers.
7. Renovation of the State Office — we improved our workspace to better serve our mission.
8. Payment of Zonal and National Dues — we honoured our obligations and sustained our connection to the wider movement.
9. National Girls Training — our representatives participated and returned with fresh ideas and renewed inspiration.
10. Graduation of Three Training Officers — we celebrated the growth of leaders equipped to serve.
11. Production of the State Newsletter Magazine — we documented our story and amplified our voice.
12. Enrollment of New and Returning Companies — our family grew as more communities joined the Girls’ Brigade.
13. International Day of the Girl Child — under the theme The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls at the Frontline of Crisis, we encouraged every girl to be an agent of change.
14. International Day of Charity — our visit to the female inmates at Nigerian Correctional Service Owerri brought hope and compassion to many hearts.
15. Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and End of Year Party — we worshipped together, celebrated in unity, and closed the year with joy.
These milestones and many more are testimonies of your commitment, teamwork, and the transforming power of service.
*Heartfelt Thanks*
To our active Executive Members: thank you for your tireless planning, coordination, and leadership.
To the State Chaplain: your spiritual guidance has been our anchor.
To our distinguished State Patrons: your counsel and support have sustained our work.
To every officer, leader, parent, and girl: your devotion, punctuality, and faithfulness have made all the difference.
Your contributions—seen and unseen—have built momentum for the future. I am deeply grateful.
*A Charge for 2026*
As we step into 2026, let us carry forward the lessons of this year: compassion in action, excellence in service, and courage to innovate. Let us:
- Deepen discipleship and nurture spiritual growth in every company.
- Expand outreach so more girls benefit from our programmes.
- Invest in leadership development so our officers and trainers are even better equipped.
- Sustain financial stewardship to ensure continuity and accountability.
- Celebrate sisterhood by mentoring, encouraging, and lifting one another.
We have proven what we can do when we work together. Now we must dream bigger, plan wisely, and serve with renewed zeal.
*Pledge and Blessing*
I pledge to continue to serve you in love and humility. I will lead with integrity, listen with compassion, and work tirelessly to advance our shared mission. May the peace of Christmas rest upon you and your families, and may God grant us strength, wisdom, and unity in the year ahead. I pray we achieve even more in 2026.
With sisterly love and deep appreciation,
✍🏾 *Princess Chinyere Ukachukwu*
