🔥 **THE ACTIVITY OF JESUS ON THE CROSS**
**STILL ON THE SEED OF A WOMAN**

Everything that happened on the cross was important. The crucifixion of Jesus Christ was not an accident, and His death was not a defeat. It was part of God's plan for the redemption of humanity.

📖 **Hebrews 2:14** tells us that Jesus shared in flesh and blood so that, through death, He could destroy the one who had the power of death—that is, the devil. Jesus went through death in order to break the power of the enemy over mankind.

That is why, when Jesus declared on the cross, **“It is finished”** (John 19:30), He was declaring that the work He came to accomplish had been completed. The authority of Satan had been confronted through the finished work of Christ.

📖 **1 John 3:8** says that the Son of God was manifested **“that he might destroy the works of the devil.”** Jesus did not come merely to make people's lives comfortable; He came to deal with the root of humanity's separation from God and to destroy the works of the devil.

🐑 **JESUS, THE LAMB OF GOD**

From the beginning, God revealed that salvation would require a sacrifice. John the Baptist identified Jesus clearly:

📖 **John 1:29** — *“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”*

Jesus became the sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Whether rich or poor, educated or uneducated, powerful or unknown, nobody can purchase salvation with money or status. The same sacrifice is offered to everyone.

📖 **Hebrews 4:3** reminds us that God's work of salvation is entered through faith and obedience—not through human wealth or position.

The value of salvation is not determined by how much a person possesses. **The blood of Jesus is the price God provided for all who come to Him in faith.**

🩸 **NO OTHER BLOOD SACRIFICE**

After the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, there is no other blood sacrifice that can replace or surpass His sacrifice.

The suffering of Christ had already been foretold:

📖 **Psalm 22:15** describes the suffering of the Messiah: *“My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws.”*

These words point us toward the physical suffering Jesus endured on the cross. His suffering was real, His death was real, and His sacrifice was sufficient.

The cross therefore points us away from every other sacrifice and back to **Jesus Christ—the Lamb of God.**

⚔️ **THE DEVIL'S DECEPTION**

One of the greatest deceptions is the idea that the Son of God could not truly die on the cross. But Scripture teaches that Jesus truly became flesh and truly experienced death.

The mystery is not that God ceased to be God. Rather, **the Son of God took on human flesh and willingly gave His life for our redemption.**

📖 **Hebrews 2:14** makes this clear: because humanity shared in flesh and blood, Jesus also partook of the same, so that through death He could destroy the power of the devil.

Jesus' death was therefore not evidence of Satan's victory. **It was the pathway through which Christ defeated the power of death.**

🔥 **THE FINAL DEFEAT OF DEATH**

The cross dealt with sin and opened the way for victory over death, but Scripture also points forward to the final judgment when death itself will be completely defeated.

📖 **Revelation 5:6–7** presents Christ as the Lamb who was slain, yet standing in victory. He is worthy to take the scroll because He has accomplished God's redemptive purpose.

And the story does not end at the cross.

📖 **Revelation 20:12** speaks of the dead standing before God for judgment, and **Revelation 20:15** declares that anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life is cast into the lake of fire.

This shows us that God's plan goes beyond Calvary. **Sin is dealt with through Christ, Satan's works are destroyed, and ultimately death and evil will face God's final judgment.**

✝️ **THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS**

Jesus did not die because He was defeated.

He died because He willingly gave Himself.

He did not lose His life because Satan was stronger.

He gave His life to accomplish the Father's plan.

When He said, **“IT IS FINISHED,”** the work He came to accomplish was complete.

The Lamb had been offered.
The price had been paid.
The way to salvation had been opened.

🔥 **THE CROSS IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY—IT IS THE BEGINNING OF VICTORY.**

**Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, the Savior of the world, and the One who will ultimately destroy every enemy, including death.**

# **THE SEED OF A WOMAN**

# # **Topic: The Events That Happened While Jesus Was on the Cross**

Even while hanging on the cross, **Jesus Christ did not give up His spirit until everything necessary for our salvation had been fulfilled**. Every word He spoke and every action He took was according to God's divine plan (John 19:25–30).

One remarkable event was when Jesus looked at Mary and the disciple whom He loved and said:

> **"Woman, behold thy son... Behold thy mother."** *(John 19:25–27)*

Notice that throughout His ministry and even at the cross, Jesus addressed Mary as **"woman,"** not as "Mother." He also addressed her as "woman" after His resurrection (John 20:15–16). This points our attention to His heavenly mission rather than to an earthly relationship.

The Scriptures teach that God alone is to be worshipped and that no human being should receive the honor that belongs to God alone (Exodus 20:1–5). Although Mary was highly favored among women and chosen by God's grace to bear the Messiah (Luke 1:28), her favor did not make her divine or an object of worship.

Mary was not the only virgin in Israel, but by God's sovereign choice she was selected for this unique purpose. The eternal Son of God existed before His birth on earth, and His incarnation was the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit—not the result of ordinary human conception (Matthew 1:18–23; John 1:1, 14). The Word of God cannot originate from human nature.

Jesus also taught that spiritual obedience to God is greater than physical family ties. When His relatives sought Him, He declared:

> **"Whoever does the will of God is My brother, My sister, and My mother."** *(Mark 3:31–35)*

At the time of the crucifixion, the Old Covenant was still in effect. The New Covenant was established through Christ's sacrificial death and confirmed by His resurrection (Hebrews 9:15–17). Even in His final moments, Jesus perfectly fulfilled the will of the Father before declaring, **"It is finished."**

Mary herself stands among the faithful witnesses who trusted in God's promises. Like the great cloud of witnesses described in Hebrews 12:1–2, her role was to point people to Christ, not to replace Him.

Our faith, worship, and salvation belong to Jesus Christ alone. He is the eternal Son of God, the Savior of the world, who completed the work of redemption on the cross. Let us honor those whom God used, but reserve all worship, glory, and trust for God alone, as revealed in His Word.

THE SEED OF A WOMAN

# # # **The Events That Happened While Jesus Was on the Cross**

Even on the cross, Jesus did not give up His spirit until He had fulfilled every part of God's plan for our salvation (John 19:25–30).

When Jesus saw Mary and His beloved disciple, He said:

**"Woman, behold your son."** *(John 19:26–27)*

Throughout His ministry, Jesus addressed Mary as **"woman,"** pointing us to His divine mission rather than an earthly relationship.

Mary was highly favored by God and chosen to bring the Messiah into the world, but all glory belongs to God alone (Exodus 20:1–5). Jesus is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, not by ordinary human means (John 1:14).

**STILL ON THE SEED OF A WOMAN**

When Jesus Christ was brought back from Herod to Pilate, He was already wounded, bruised, and wearing the crown of thorns. Yet everything He suffered was in fulfillment of prophecy.

**Isaiah 50:6** says:
*"I gave my back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting."*

**Isaiah 53:5** further declares:
*"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."*

The suffering of Jesus was not an accident. The stripes on His body, the crown of thorns on His head, the shame, rejection, and pain He endured were all part of God's plan of redemption. Through His sacrifice, Christ provided healing and deliverance for mankind. There is no sickness, affliction, or bo***ge beyond the power of Jesus Christ.

From the beginning, God warned mankind about the consequences of disobedience. In **Genesis 3:4–6**, Eve listened to the serpent and ate the forbidden fruit, and sin entered the world. This teaches us that whatever God commands us not to do, disobedience leads to sin and brings spiritual death.

Jesus, the promised **Seed of the Woman**, came to undo the works of sin and restore mankind to God. Where Adam and Eve failed, Christ obeyed. Where sin brought death, Christ brought life. Through His suffering, death, and resurrection, the way back to God has been opened.

**KEY MESSAGE:**
The Seed of the Woman fulfilled God's promise. By His stripes we receive healing, by His obedience we receive righteousness, and through faith in Him we receive eternal life.

🚨 **THE STRIPES OF JESUS WERE NOT AN ACCIDENT!**

Before Jesus was condemned, He was mocked, crowned with thorns, and beaten. Every stripe on His body fulfilled God's prophecy.

📖 **Isaiah 50:6** – *"I gave my back to those who struck Me..."*

📖 **Isaiah 53:5** – *"He was wounded for our transgressions... and by His stripes we are healed."*

Sin entered the world when mankind disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden (**Genesis 3:4–6**). From that moment, suffering, sickness, and death became part of humanity's experience.

But God had already prepared the answer—the **Seed of the woman, Jesus Christ.**

The stripes He bore were part of God's plan of redemption. Through His sacrifice, He paid the price for sin and made the way for healing, forgiveness, and eternal life for everyone who believes in Him.

✨ **Every stripe tells a story of God's love. Every wound points to His sacrifice. Every prophecy declares that Jesus is the promised Seed of the woman.**

**🎯 KEY MESSAGE:**
**The disease of sin began with disobedience, but the healing of mankind came through the stripes of Jesus Christ. Trust in the One who fulfilled God's promise.**
