DATE: 1ST JAN. 2017
TOPIC: WHAT IS YOUR DECISION?
BIBLE VERSE: JOSHUA 24:11-25
Brethren for this year to be a fruitful year indeed, you need to start with a concrete / solid decision to live right and decidedly aim to pursue with diligence all that God has revealed to do in and with life. "your personal resolution to succeed this year is paramount"

Points to Note:
1) Set your heart right "the heart of every matter is the matter of the heart "
2) a sincere and resolute personal resolution "For Daniel purpose in His heart not to defile himself with the portion of the King's meal" Dan. 1:8
Joshua took a personal to serve the Lord irrespective of what others think or decide to do.
you have a personal stand with God so don't be influence by friends, peers decision. God desire you to have a more closer walk with Him.
now is the time to make that personal decision to walk with Him aright.

Lamentations 3:19-26
NEW MERCIES EVERY MORNING
Because of the Lord’s great Love we
are not consumed, for his
compassions never fail. They are new
every morning... Lamentations
3:22-23, NIV
Today’s mercy is different from
yesterday’s. Each day is never the
same. This is why each day has
different names and dates. As the day
is new so is the love of God.
Accordingly, the prophet speaks of
the great faithfulness of the Lord,
which is refreshed at the wake of
everyday. He knew that God is
renewing it because of His mercies
and compassion on us, not because
we merit such grace. We, like the
prophet, have reasons to testify to His
faithfulness toward us every day in
the midst of trials and difficulties.
Even in our weaknesses, we know
that He is our refuge. Indeed, God is
kind; He keeps forgiving our sins.
That is why we are not destroyed
(Psalm 78:38).
We can rely and depend on God. We
can trust His steadfast love, which
never ceases when all others fail us.
We are going towards the end of
another year, can you remember
some resolutions you made at the
beginning of the year? Have you truly
kept your promises? Often times we
fail to be faithful to God, but the
Lord’s kindness never fails. Check
where you have failed in your
relationship with Him today and
reconcile with Him.

Psalm 51:1-13
A NEW AND RIGHT SPIRIT
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10, NIV
The entire Psalm 51 was a prayer of
confession made by David, when he
was confronted by Prophet Nathan
for committing adultery with
Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife. David sought
for God’s pardon. And he honestly
asked God to purge or blot out all his
iniquities away from him. He again
pleaded with God to create in him a
pure and sinless heart. You cannot
have right spirit without desiring to
live it. Blessed are those who thirst
and hunger for righteousness for
they shall be satisfied. David realised
that for something new to happen in
his life, God must be the One to do it.
This was why he asked God to create
and renew his life as a mark of total
surrender. Verses 10-12 is a
commonly sang chorus, but
unfortunately many of us who sing it
are not truthfully remorseful in our
hearts for our wrongdoings.
Take a moment now, to reflect on
your life and see if you can truly ask
God to create a right spirit in you
today. Romans 3:23; says “All of us
have sinned and fallen short of God’s
glory.” It is only sin that can separate
man from God. Amend your
relationship with Him today. There is
no way you can receive His favour if
your heart is not cleansed.
Remember, God always looks at the
heart to pass His judgment.

former rain, the latter rain in the first

JOHN 4:7-15
GIVE ME THIS WATER
The woman said to him, "Sir, give me
this water so that I won't get thirsty
and have to keep coming here to
draw water." John 4:15, NIV
Outwardly, she appears beautiful, but
inwardly there is emptiness. So many
times, she behaves as if all is well
with her just to cover up from people
around her. Little wonder she always
engages herself in many activities
and programmes in and outside the
church.
Does this scenario look familiar? The
Samaritan woman, on that fateful day,
went out to carry out her routine task
of fetching water by the well when
she encountered Jesus, the Life-
changer. By the time she realised
who was talking with her, her eyes
opened. This made her to request a
kind of water that will give her
permanent relief.
Jesus is always ready to visit people
with open hearts; people who will
not deny their sins when He
confronts them with it. He wants you
to ask for this kind of water that will
cause you not to thirst again. Humble
yourself therefore by asking Him to
fill your empty heart with His spirit.
Stop pretending that all is well while
your life is spiritually dry and
cracking. Believe it, those hidden sins
you thought nobody knows are all
open before Christ! He will not
disgrace you if you will come to Him.
Take the step now!
• Birthday Blessing: “In repentance
and rest is your salvation; in
quietness and trust is your strength.”
Isaiah 30:15

and milk without money and without
cost. - Isaiah 55:1

Judges 6:24-32
PULLING DOWN FALSE ALTARS
…There was the altar of Baal, torn
down; and the wooden image that
was beside it was cut down…. Judges
6:28, NKJV
Some church leaders have set up
false altars to deceive the elect in
these last days. An example is the
one reported by a woman. People
thought she was lying, but when a
particular part of the church building
where she pointed at was dug, the
people marveled. The under-
shepherd buried some materials by
the pulpit in order to attract people
to his church.
Gideon challenged God on the
trouble the Midianites were giving
the people of Israel. He was
instructed to use his strength to fight
the enemies. However, his first
assignment was to destroy the false
altar at his father’s backyard and
replace it with the altar of God (vs.
25-26). Gideon did as instructed.
Whatever takes the place of God in
your life is a false altar. Do you
pretend to be worshiping God and
yet you find it comfortable to tell lies,
get involved in fornication and
adultery? Do you have sinful friends
you still relate with, comfortably? Is
there anything that still pushes you
to sin? These are false altars. It is
always difficult to handle them with
human strength. Seek the assistance
of a matured child of God or pastor;
let him or her help you. You will find
strength in Jesus’ name to pull down
those altars.
• Birthday Blessing: “Lord, you
establish peace for us; all that we
have accomplished you have done for
us.” Isa 26:12
Read Bible Through Passage: Ezekiel
3-4; Hebrews 2.
The devil fears the word of God, He
can’t bite it. It breaks his teeth. -
