If a man’s purpose starts with him, it will end with him. But if it starts with God, it will outlive him.

✍🏽 People whose purpose started with God and outlived them:
— Saul (1 Samuel 15:30–31): He became more concerned about his reputation than God’s purpose. We are encouraged not to become too big in the same assignment God brought us into. If assignment begins to overshadow purpose, there is a problem.
— David (1 Samuel 13:14): Though he made mistakes, when God corrected him, he repented and aligned.
— Abraham (Genesis 12:2; Genesis 26:24; 2 Kings 13:23): A reminder that when purpose starts with God, it extends beyond one lifetime.

✍🏽 Whatever we are building must be centered around God. Anything built in isolation from Him eventually collapses. A life centered on self may accumulate things but still lose true purpose.

✍🏽 What does it mean that God is God-centered? It means God is committed to His purpose above human preference. He is fully committed to His eternal agenda (Ephesians 1:11; Mark 14:36).

✍🏽 It also means that when you align with God, you become unstoppable (Acts 5:38–39; 2 Timothy 2:9).

✍🏽 Alignment is greater than strength. Money may provide temporary safety, but the greatest safety in life is purpose. Purpose guides, preserves, and secures a man.

In today’s service, we continued our teaching series on “Purpose”.

Pastor Thomas Makanjuola ministered on a powerful sermon titled: “The Unstoppable Move of God” with reference to Romans 8:28.

Here are key highlights from the message:

✍🏽 The move of God is not abstract, it is not just a wind or a storm. It is expressed in the different areas of our lives such as alignment, people, relationships, family, business, career, and many more dimensions of life.

✍🏽 In opposing or supporting people, we may actually be opposing or supporting the move of God, because God’s move is often carried through people. The move of God is in people.

✍🏽 Even in the move of God, there will be opposition. There will be several attempts to stop it, but the move of God cannot be stopped.

✍🏽 You can determine the trajectory of your life simply by siding with God (Psalm 2:12; Hebrews 11:31).

✍🏽 The move of God can be seen even in small and ordinary things we often overlook.

✍🏽 When a man aligns himself with God’s purpose, destiny is fulfilled.

✍🏽 There is a clear difference between a man trying to move by himself and a man being carried by God.

✍🏽 What then is the move of God? It is the successful advancement of God’s agenda in the earth. It is God accomplishing His eternal purpose in the earth. It is bigger than anything we can assume or imagine.
