Sermon: “Go Ye Therefore Into the Highways”
Text: Gospel of Matthew 22:9
“Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.”
Introduction
This passage speaks about the Kingdom of God and the invitation of God to mankind. The king prepared a wedding feast, but many who were invited refused to come. Then the king commanded his servants to go into the highways and invite everybody they could find.
God is still calling people today:
the rich and poor,
the strong and weak,
sinners and saints,
young and old.
The invitation of salvation is for everyone.
1. God’s Invitation Is for Everybody
First Epistle to Timothy 2:4
“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
God does not reject people because of their background. Heaven’s invitation is open to all who will come.
Lesson
Never look down on anybody.
Evangelism is the duty of every believer.
God can save anyone.
2. Many People Ignore God’s Call
Gospel of Matthew 22:5
“But they made light of it…”
Some people are too busy for God:
busy with business,
pleasure,
money,
pride,
worldly things.
Lesson
Do not postpone your salvation and commitment to God.
3. We Must Go Into the Highways
Gospel of Mark 16:15
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The “highways” represent:
streets,
villages,
markets,
schools,
offices,
everywhere people can be found.
God wants His children to spread the Gospel everywhere.
Lesson
A silent Christian cannot fulfill the Great Commission.
4. God Wants His House Filled
Gospel of Luke 14:23
“...that my house may be filled.”
God desires:
souls to be saved,
lives to be changed,
and Heaven to be populated.
Lesson
Winning souls brings joy to Heaven.
5. We Must Wear the Garment of Righteousness
Gospel of Matthew 22:11-12
Not everybody at the feast had the proper garment. Salvation must be accompanied by holy living.
Book of Revelation 19:8
“Fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
Lesson
Holiness matters.Genuine repentance matters.
A Christian must live a transformed life.
Prayer Points
Father, thank You for inviting me into Your Kingdom.
Lord, give me the grace to obey Your call.
Every spirit of procrastination and disobedience, depart from my life in Jesus’ name.
Father, make me a soul winner for Your Kingdom.
Lord, help me to preach the Gospel without fear.
Every power stopping people from accepting Christ through me, be destroyed in Jesus’ name.
Father, let my garment remain pure before You.
Lord, remove anything in my life that will make me miss Heaven.
Father, let Your church be filled with genuine worshippers.
O Lord, let revival begin in our homes, church, and nation.
Father, count me worthy at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Every blessing attached to obedience, let it manifest in my life in Jesus’ name.

Sermon on Luke 20:19
Main Text: Gospel of Luke 20:19
“The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest Him immediately, because they knew He had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people.” (NIV)
🕊️ Sermon Title: When Truth Confronts the Heart
1️⃣ The Context: The Parable Before the Reaction
In the verses before Luke 20:19, Jesus told the Parable of the Wicked Tenants. The religious leaders understood clearly that the message was about them. Instead of repenting, they reacted with anger.
👉 When truth exposes us, we have two choices: repentance or resistance.
🔥 2️⃣ Conviction vs. Pride
The leaders felt convicted — but pride would not allow them to change. Rather than humble themselves, they plotted to silence Jesus.
📖 Supporting Scriptures:
Book of Proverbs 29:1 – “Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.”
Book of James 1:22 – “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
God’s Word is a mirror. It reveals who we truly are. The question is: Will we change when we see ourselves?
⚖️ 3️⃣ Fear of People vs. Fear of God
Luke 20:19 says they were afraid of the people. Notice this carefully:
They feared public opinion more than divine judgment.
📖 Supporting Scripture:
Book of Proverbs 29:25 – “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”
When we care more about reputation than righteousness, we fall into a trap.
💡 4️⃣ A Spiritual Lesson for Today
This verse teaches us:
Truth will sometimes offend.
Conviction is a gift, not an attack.
Pride blocks transformation.
Fear of man weakens spiritual authority.
As someone passionate about spiritual growth, this passage is a strong reminder: God corrects those He loves. The moment we feel convicted, it is an invitation to deeper alignment — not a reason to defend ourselves.

1.Father, thank You for the level of breakthrough I have enjoyed by Your mercy.

2.Father, please connect me with my destiny helpers, and take me to a new level of breakthrough in all areas of my life, in Jesus' name.

5.Father, please bring to full manifestations, every long standing promises and dreams You had given me, remove and destroy every hindrances to the fulfilment in Your word for me, in Jesus' name.

6.Father, I seperate myself from every idol and wrong relationship that may hinder me from entering into the new level of breakthrough You have prepared for me, in Jesus' name.

7.Father, help me to remain focus on the things ahead of me, to hold forth unto my salvation. Help me never to compromise my righteousness in You, in Jesus' name.

8.Father, please help me to surround myself with good counsels, help me to depart from the congregation of bad influence, so I can enter into a new level of breakthrough, maritally, mentally and spiritually, in Jesus' name.

9.Father, I receive grace to serve and obey Your instructions, grant me the ability to be diligent in all my works, so I can enter into a new level of breakthrough, in Jesus name.

10.Father, please help me to obey Your instructions on the things I must do to experience new breakthrough, in Jesus' name.

11.Father, send help to Your son, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye in all areas of his life.

Please let there be new breakthroughs in his life today and continuousy; bless his home, and family (biological and spiritual), and help them to continue to produce sons and daughters to Your glory, in Jesus name

12.Father, bless Your son that You have been using to prepare these prayer points, beyond measures, and all those who have been rebroadcasting them, in Jesus name.
