GUILT BY ASSOCIATION (Part Two)

Continuing the evidence from the Salaf, Oh you who claim to be Sunnee-Salafee (or Soofee-Salafee, what a joke!)

8. Ad-Dārimi reported in his Muqaddimah (1/120, no. 397), chapter: “Abandoning the People of Desires, Innovation and Argumentation” that two men came to Muhammad bin Seereen (d. 110, rahimahullāh) and said:
“O Abu Bakr, we would like to speak with you.” He responded: “No.” They continued: “Then let us recite to you a verse from Allah’s Book.” He replied: “No.
Either you will get up and leave me or I will get up and leave.” So, they both left. Some of the people said: “O Abu Bakr, what harm could it have done if they had just recited a verse of Allah’s Book to you?”
He answered: “Indeed, I fear that they would have recited a verse to me and twisted it and that may have settled in my heart.”

9. Imām Ahmad bin Hanbal (rahimahullāh) said: “From the foundations of Sunnah with us is… to abandon argumentation and sitting with the people of desires and Innovation" - Sayings of the Salaf on Abandoning the People of Desires and Innovation (From Usool Sunnah of Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal)

10. Imām Ash-Shāfi’i (rahimahullah) said: “I never debated anyone whom I knew to be established upon innovation.”

Imam Al-Bayhaqi commented upon this and said:
“That is because the one who established upon innovation very rarely returns from his bid’ah. Indeed debating is with the one who is hoped will return to the truth when the truth is made clear to him.”(See Manāqib ash-Shāfi’i 1/175).

11. Al-Fudayl Ibn ‘Iyaad said: “I met the best of people, all of them people of the Sunnah and they used to forbid from accompanying the people of innovation.” [Sharh Usool I’tiqaad Ahlis-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah, #267]

12. Ibraahim ibn Maysarah said: “Whoever honours an innovator has aided in the destruction of Islaam.” [Sharh Usool I’tiqaad Ahlis-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah, 1/139]

The speech from the great Imams of the Salaf is numerous concerning sitting and debating with the innovators – and their speech is recorded and preserved in the books of Sunnah and `Aqeedah as an issue of the fundamentals (Usool) of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā`ah.

13. Shaykh Abu Ismā`īl As-Sāboonī (rahimahullah) relayed from the Imāms of the Sunnah the following:

“And they hated Ahlul-Bid`ah, those who introduce into the Religion that which is not from it. They would not love them, nor keep company with them – they would not listen to their speech nor would they sit with them.

They would not argue with them about the Religion, and they would not debate with them. And they held that the people should protect their hearing from listening to their falsehood.

This falsehood, if it was to reach their hearing and settled in their hearts it would ruin them, and arouse whisperings and dangerous corruption. And regarding this Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed:

“And when you see those who engage in a false conversation about Our Verses by mocking at them, stay away from them…” (Qurān 6: 68.)" (End Quote).

Aqeedatus-Salaf As.hābul-Hadeeth of As-Sāboonī (رحمه الله) no. 161, pp. 100-101)

14. Imām at-Tabarī (rahimahullāh) said: “This verse is a clear proof showing the forbiddance of sitting with the people of falsehood (Ahlul-Bātil) of every persuasion regardless of whether it be the innovators (mubtadi’ah) or the open sinners, whilst they continue to speak with their falsehood.” (Tafsīr at-Tabari 5/330)

{ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ }
O you who believe! Be afraid of Allah, and be with those who are true (in words and deeds).
[Surah At-Tawbah: 119]

And the worst of liars are those that lied against Allah and His Messanger, and they are the innovators in the deen.

For those asking what the crime of the founder of Daaru Naim is, these are some his undoings. He is guilty of saying the likes of what the innovators would say, and wine and dine with them and its against the Quran, the Sunnah and the Ijmaa' of the Companions (Salafus Saaliheen).

This is why, we regard him as a deviant regardless of the deafening cries of ENVY, ENVY, ILARA, ILARA etc A deviant is a deviant, even if he and his beloved cries Ilara from now till eternity.

Allah sees our hearts. But, we leave that in the Hands of Allah to judge. But the scale of the Sharee'ah that will be used here on earth are before you, (of you are sincere).

ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb RA said: “Verily, people were judged by revelation in the time of Rasūlullāh ﷺ, and the revelation has ceased. We only judge now what is manifested outwardly of your deeds. Whoever shows us good (by following the Sunnah and the ways of the Salaf), we will trust him and bring him close. It is not for us to judge anything of his inner secrets; Allāh will hold him accountable for his inner secrets. Whoever shows us evil (by opposing the Sunnah and the ways of the Salaf), we will never trust him or believe him even if it is said his intentions are good.” (Saheeh al Bukhārī, hadith 2641)

Just like Allah regards those who accompany those who mocks the Verses of Allah to be among them.

{ وَقَدۡ نَزَّلَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَنۡ إِذَا سَمِعۡتُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ یُكۡفَرُ بِهَا وَیُسۡتَهۡزَأُ بِهَا فَلَا تَقۡعُدُوا۟ مَعَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ یَخُوضُوا۟ فِی حَدِیثٍ غَیۡرِهِۦۤ إِنَّكُمۡ إِذࣰا مِّثۡلُهُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ جَامِعُ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ وَٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ فِی جَهَنَّمَ جَمِیعًا }
And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Quran) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell,
[Surah An-Nisâ': 140]

I'm sure noone would like that his son is mingling with thieves not his daughter with prostitutes. Innovators are worse than Yahoo boys, thieves and prostitutes in the scale of the Sharee'ah. This is because they are sinners just like thieves and prostitutes, but innovators are lying against Allah and His Messenger by changing and distorting the religion to suite themselves.

The Yorubas would say: "Fi òré re hàn mí, kí á lè mo irú èèyàn tí o jé"

The English would say, "Show me your friend, so as to tell me who you are".

{ رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغۡ قُلُوبَنَا بَعۡدَ إِذۡ هَدَیۡتَنَا وَهَبۡ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحۡمَةًۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡوَهَّابُ }
Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower.
[Surah Âl-`Imrân: 8]

Let this be shown to him and his beloved, perhaps he would retrace his step. Or they sincerely assess their love and following him upon this CLEARCUT deviation.

May Allah keep our feet firm and protect us from seeking fame and to be contented with keeping company with the people of truth.

GUILT BY ASSOCIATION

Some were asking what is really the problem and issue with the founder of Sheikh Daaru Ikhwanis. The response to this honest question (not so honest for others) is the subject of the heading of this post.

The concept of guilt by association is well established in the Quran and the Hadeeth of the Prophet. And it is practised by the companions.

What guilt by association means is that, someone who took an evil or bad person as a friend would also be considered as evil and bad as his companion friend.

Allah says:
{ وَإِذَا رَأَیۡتَ ٱلَّذِینَ یَخُوضُونَ فِیۤ ءَایَـٰتِنَا فَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ یَخُوضُوا۟ فِی حَدِیثٍ غَیۡرِهِۦۚ وَإِمَّا یُنسِیَنَّكَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ فَلَا تَقۡعُدۡ بَعۡدَ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ }
[Surah Al-An`âm: 68]

And when you (Muhammad SAW) see those who engage in a false conversation about Our Verses (of the Quran) by mocking at them, stay away from them till they turn to another topic. And if Shaitan (Satan) causes you to forget, then after the remembrance sit not you in the company of those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists, innovators, wrong-doers, etc.).

The companions understood this verse to mean that an upright Muslim should not sit with people with bad manners with Allah and His Messenger such as the polytheists, Fussaaq and innovators in the deen. Sitting with them means listening to their lectures, their speech and worst still doing Da'wah with them.

Below are some of the evidences from the Companions and others from the Salaf regarding guilt by association.

1. It is reported from Ibn ‘Abbās (ra) that he said: “Do not sit with Ahlul-Ahwā for their gatherings are a sickness upon the hearts.” This was reported by Al-Ājurri in As-Sharee’ah (1/196 no.139) under the chapter: “The censure of argumentation and debating in the Religion.”

2. Ibn Mas'ood said: Judge the people their associates and companions, as noone would take someone as an an associate except he loves them. (At-Tabaraanee

3. Ibn ‘Abbaas(ra) described Ahl as-Sunnah in the following terms:“You will always see a man of Ahl as-Sunnah calling people to the Sunnah and forbidding bid’ah.” [Al-Laalkaa’i in Sharh Usool I’tiqaad Ahl as-Sunnah]

4. Al-Hasan Al-Basree (d. 110H) said:“Do not sit with the people of innovation and desires, nor argue with them, nor listen to them.” [Sunan Ad-Daarimee 121]

5. A-Fudayl Ibn ‘Iyād (rahimahullāh) said: “Do not sit with a person of innovation for I fear that curses will descend upon you.”
(Al-Lālikā’i, 1/155, no. 262, Ibn Battah 2/460, no. 441, Barbahāri, p. 143, 170)

6. Ali Ibn Abi Talib(ra) reported Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) as saying: "So if anyone makes an innovation or accommodates an innovator, the curse of Allah, the angels, and all persons will fall upon him, and Allah will not accept any obligatory or supererogatory act as recompense from them."(Sahih Muslim Hadith 1370a)

7. Imam Malik (rahimauallah) said:“How evil are the people of innovation, we do not give them salaam.” [Sharh As-Sunnah, 1/234]

You can see the extent of the understanding and practice of the Salaf from among the Companions and the Imams of this Ummah on how they fully practice guilt by association based on the Quran and Sunnah.

Some of the beloved of the founder of Daaru Naim should show him these evidences if he is ignorant about them. If he is not, then you should save yourselves from destruction resulting from blind love and tactical maneuvers of cries of ENVY and ILARA up and down. It is only the Allah and the Prophet that is deserving of our blind love. No mortal should be loved blindly and followed wherever he turns.

This is the scale of the Sharee'ah and everyone who claims to be upon the Sunnah shall be placed and measured with this scale. NOONE IS ABOVE IT OR GREATER THAN IT.

May Allah protect us.

AN EXPLICIT NARRATIVE OF THE PREDICAMENT OF THE UNSOPHISTICATED HOOLIGAN BY SHAYKH 'ABDUL'AZEEZ ALASE

*Notes from the Adab Al-Mufrad Class of our Shaykh, Abu Naasir Ibrahim AbdurRauf, Session 196, held on Saturday, Jumadal-Thanni 21, 1444/January 14, 2023*

The Sunnah is not just about physical appearance or internal belief. It also has to do with the ways of doing things, relating with people, and responding to situations as taught by Islam. The Sunnah is whole, a complete package. This balanced religion IS the Sunnah. Follow the Sunnah completely.

The Great Companion, Umar Ibn Khattab, was very strict and firm upon the religion and limits of Allah. But he was extremely merciful to people in his personal dealings. Even when he has to discipline, he does so because of compassion, not because he wants to inflict pain. And these two complementary characters are praiseworthy. He informed us that anyone who shows no compassion, does not forgive, does not overlook, does not pardon and does not seek protection, will not receive same from Allah.

Our religion is one of preparation and taking precautions. Anything you want to do, take precautions, no matter how small - when you drive, when you eat, when you go out, etc. Taking precautions will not change the ordainment of Allah, but it is an act of obedience, and so that the slave will not fall into regret if what has been decreed befalls him.

Being kind to children will teach the children kindness. Otherwise, they will grow up hard-hearted and then spread evil into the world. However, discipline them when necessary. Discipline itself is mercy - to the community, and to the perpetrator. Because it safeguards the community from evil, and the perpetrator gains purification and rectification from the discipline. Therefore, we overlook when it is necessary, and we discipline when necessary. If you leave the child without discipline, the is not mercy but harm.

Muslims, please stop saying the word Karma, because it is a Buddhist term, and has a lot of connotations that contradicts Islam. What you should rather say is that "reward is according to actions".

Mercy is not just restricted to children, spread mercy to anyone and everyone, anything and everything, Muslim or non-Muslim. Even a sheep, if you show mercy to it, Allah will show mercy to you. The Prophet said this twice for emphasis.

It is not lawful to kill or sell a cat. They are very kind animals, that go around you and live among you. We have also been commanded not sell dogs. And it is prohibited for us to eat cats or dogs.

Assalam Alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu.

SEE THROUGH YOUR TEARS!

Speaking about unity in apparent regret of our situation, M***i Menk became so emotional that he broke into tears as he chided us Muslims for being so disunited to the advantage of our enemies. May Allah reward him. His mood was so persuasive you could embrace the next Boko Haram or Shi'ite fanatic closest to you. But wait! Learn to see through your tears o!

Unity is a noble objective, except that it must not be built upon error since it is a means to an end and not an end in itself: It is a means to the correct worship of Allah. That is why when we're called to unity upon falsehood that misrepresents the Deen of Allah, we must be careful not to be enchanted. For instance, Allah praises the Prophet's companions, but the Shi'ites curse them. How do we achieve unity with those and still enjoin what is right and preach against evil?

The truth is that there are Muslims to unite with and others to cautiously cooperate with, just as we sometimes cooperate with Kuffaar to attain a mutual benefit while we still hold on to our different convictions. It is the correct knowledge of the creed and the sincerity needed to determine who to unite with and who to cooperate with which is the major problem today.

THE KIND-HEARTED BUT BLIND DRIVER

Sometimes, an alfa that people consider kínd and good in some ways aligns very closely with a seriously deviant group and you are in a dilemma: He is blind to the deviancy of the group either by choice or because he lacks the understanding and equipment to see their deviancy. If you encourage the people to follow him, he will eventually cause many people to become deep in their deviancy too and if you warn people against him and the deviancy of his group, they are confused and would say but he's such a good man who did this and that for Islam and Muslims.

No human can deny him the reward for his good deeds, but if the Prophet's warning against deviancy is to mean anything, he's to be treated like the proverbial kind-hearted but blind driver behind the wheel of a vehicle about to take off. What would you tell the would-be passengers if you care for their safety? Will his kindness prevent the inevitable accident? Certainly not!

The creed and methodology of the predecessors must be kept to and perfection belongs only to Allah.

Very sad story.

At the conference last weekend, I was approached by an older Muslim. He looked like he was a gradfather.

He told me he was an immigrant who had lived in America for many years. Worked hard to raise his children.

But recently, his eldest daughter, 25 years old, had called the police on him for "abuse." The judge assigned to his case dismissed all charges, but the daughter continues to threaten to call the police on him.

The daughter tried to even get a restraining order on him, despite the fact that she lives in his house and he pays for everything to support her and the rest of his family.

This 25 year old daughter has also tried to get her mom to divorce the father.

This man was on the verge of tears. He said his daughter has been influenced by feminists and now, she has caused so much damage to his life that he has to get a court order to have her removed from his home..

Imagine. She is threatening to send her father to jail and ruin his life while living under his roof!

There are countless stories like this. This is what feminism does to families.

SCHOLARS WHO NEVER ADMIT THEY GAFFE!

It is not a sign of righteousness that you will never fall into errors or commit sins. A righteous person can make a mistake, he can misyarn, he can make incorrect assertions, etc just like the unrighteous persons!

The difference between the righteous and the unrighteous with respect to their errors has to do with their conducts after it has been clearly established they fell into error(s). Look at Nabiy Adam (righteous) and Shaytan (the accursed) when they committed errors. Nabbiy Adam repented and strive to follow it up with good deeds (to wipe out the mistakes) but as for Shaytan, the accursed, he was DEFENDING his error, threatening to do even more, very arrogant and refused to acknowledge he made an error let alone accepting correction and making attempt to undo the error!

Ikhwah, don't let us be deceived by scholarship or mere claim to it, if we assume for the sake of argument that a person who commits an error is a scholar, then it is even more expected of him to know and apply the the correct measures of undoing his mistakes. But why do we see many self acclaimed scholars in our clime arrogant, adamant and pompous upon glaring errors they commit in public, even trying to cover up and make more blunders in the process? The answer to this question is not far fetched, many 'scholars' who are like this are DEVIANTS! They are misguided! They are self appointed arch enemies of Sunnah and I am not in any way trying to argue they are not scholars as many of their blind followers always want us to believe! I am simply saying, their adamant behaviors to continue upon errors despite their being a 'scholar' only confirms they are like Shaytan because of their attempt to make their gaffes a rule binding upon the Muslims!

May Allaah grant us protection!
