ABOUT GLOBAL UNITED CHRISTIAN YOUTH MOVEMENT (GUCYM)
FOUNDING AND HISTORY:
Global United Christian Youth Movement was inspired by the Holy Spirit and founded by OSAKI EVANS TARIAH in 2017 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The movement's first conference was held in 2018 at Churchill Model Primary School Hall, marking the beginning of a journey to unite and empower Christian youth.
MISSION AND VISION:
GUCYM aims to unite the body of Christ, promote unity among Christians, and reconcile churches. The movement seeks to break down barriers created by doctrines and become a mediator for Christians.
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES:
- Annual prayer conferences and prayer sessions
- Youth empowerment programs
- Orphanage visits and gift-giving
- Visits to the homes of the elderly, prayer, and gift-giving
- Children's Day Party for students, featuring debates, prizes, medals, and awards
- Provision of writing materials (books, notebooks, pens, etc.) to students
- Thanksgiving services to thank God for the year
- Christmas Carol Service, held annually at GUCYM house
INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES:
GUCYM has international links with partners in Zambia and Liberia, demonstrating its commitment to global unity and cooperation.
MEMBERSHIP:
GUCYM is a non-denominational movement with a vast membership from various Christian backgrounds. Its membership is open to all who share its vision and mission.
