Demise of Justice Ahmed belgore is a great lost to Ilorin and Nation as well May Almighty Allah bless him with Janatul Firdauz Amen .
DEATH: Balogun Fulani Youth Condole- Self, Sympathies Emir of Ilorin and Belgore Family
The Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association has expressed saddeness over the demise of Retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Ahmad Olarewaju Belgore (Alfa Ala-lu-Qur'an), who died in the late hours of Tuesday, 9th April, 2024 and since buried in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
In his condolence message, the Association's President, Comr. Hassan Salaudeen described the late Justice Belgore as "one of the strongest community piller, a legal luminary and a father figure to all constituents members."
"Justice Belgore's beautiful career, dedication to justice and community development have created a vacuum, difficult to bridge."
"But, his good legacies and beautiful contributions to both the human and capital development will continue speaking well of him." - Hassan added.
Until his death, Sheikh Ahmed Belgore is a legal beacon, and a community builder who has contributed positively to the development of both the legal system and community services. Also, the decease has served in different capacities at both the states, and internationally. He has once on secondment to the Judiciary of the Republic of the Gambia and appointed as Justice of Appeal, Gambia Court of Appeal and was later elevated to become the acting Justice of the Supreme Court of the Gambia, a position he held up to December 2005, and laterd returned back to Nigeria and was appointed as justice, Court of Appeal on the 27th April, 2006.
The late Justice Ahmad Olarewaju Belgore retired as the presiding Judge, Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division on 18th April 2023 on attainment of the age of 70.
Alfa Ala- lu-Qur'an as popularly revered is also one of the respected Islamic scholar who's an old student of Sheik Adam El-ilory and a respected Alumni of Markaz Agege.
Thus, the Association therefore extends her condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-gambari, CFR following Justice Ahmad Belgore's death. Also, the message sympathized with Balogun Fulani of Ilorin, Alh. Sidiq Atiku Fulani, the Belgore family, the Balogun Fulani Community and the entire Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
We prays to Almighty Allah to forgive all his shortcomings, bless him among the blessed men of Janat, and grant us all fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
