يَا رَبِيعَ النُّورِ فِي أَرْضِ الْهُدَى

مَرْحَبًا يَا شَهْرَ خَيْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
سَيِّدِ الْخَلْقِ وَخَيْرِ الْعَالَمِينَ

مَرْحَبًا يَا شَهْرَ طَهَ الْمُجْتَبَى
فِيهِ أَشْرَقَ نُورُ أَحْمَدَ فِي الْوَرَى

فِيهِ وُلِدَ الْهَادِي الْبَشِيرُ الْمُنْذِرُ
وَبِنُورِهِ قَدْ أَشْرَقَتْ لَنَا الْدُّنَا

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يَا خَيْرَ الْبَرِيَّةِ
يَا شَفِيعَ الْخَلْقِ يَوْمَ الْحَشْرِ لِي

نَحْنُ فِي شَهْرِ الْمَوَالِدِ نَفْرَحُ
وَبِذِكْرِ الْمُصْطَفَى قَلْبِي يَفْرَحُ

نَسْأَلُ الْمَوْلَى بِحُبِّ الْمُصْطَفَى
أَنْ يَزِيدَ الْحُبَّ فِي قَلْبِ الْوَفِي

صَلِّ يَا رَبِّي عَلَى خَيْرِ الْأَنَامِ
وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ الْكِرَامِ

مَرْحَبًا يَا شَهْرَ مَوْلِدِ الْمُصْطَفَى
مَرْحَبًا يَا رَبِيعَ الْخَيْرِ وَالْهُدَى

Welcome, O month of the birth of Al-Mustafa,
O springtime of light upon the earth of guidance.

Welcome, O month of the best of all Messengers,
The master of creation and the best of all worlds.

Welcome, O month of Taha, the Chosen One,
In which the light of Ahmad shone upon all humanity.

In it was born the Guide, the Bringer of glad tidings and the Warner,
And through his light, our world was illuminated.

O Messenger of Allah, O best of all creation,
O intercessor for humanity on the Day of Resurrection.

In the month of the Prophet’s birth, we rejoice,
And our hearts rejoice in remembering Al-Mustafa.

We ask our Lord, through our love for Al-Mustafa,
To increase the love of the Prophet within the hearts of the faithful.

O Allah, send Your blessings upon the best of mankind,
And upon his family and his noble Companions.

Welcome, O month of the birth of Al-Mustafa,
Welcome, O springtime of goodness and guidance.

SHAYKH ABDULKAREEM IMAM BANNI (1920 - 2026).
One of the most senior scholars of the Ilorin Emirate, Shaykh Abdulkareem Imam Banni, has returned to his Creator. Despite his advanced age, he remained steadfast in observing the five daily congregational prayers and never neglected his Ramadan fasts. Anyone who visited him at home would either find him reciting the Qur’an, engaging in adhkar (remembrance of Allah), or teaching his students. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his righteous deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

His life history and legacy will be discussed in a series of segments, Insha Allah.

The 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate to Be Turbaned on 10th July 2026

His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, has approved the 10th of July 2026 as the date for the turbaning ceremony of the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki (Imam Fulani).

The historic event will take place at the ancient palace of Ilorin Emirate, beginning at 10:00 AM, and will be presided over by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin.

May Almighty Allah grant the new Chief Imam a long life, sound health, and abundant wisdom to lead the Muslim Ummah effectively. May He also grant His Royal Highness continued good health and a long reign.

Long live Nigeria!
Long live Kwara State!
Long live Ilorin Emirate!

Emir of Ilorin Appoints Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as Chief Imam of Ilorin

ILORIN – His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has officially appointed Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as the Chief Imam Fulani of Ilorin Emirate.

The appointment follows a rigorous selection process in which Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani emerged victorious among several distinguished scholars vying for this prestigious spiritual leadership position.

About the New Chief Imam

Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, aged 42, is a grandson of the 8th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Ibrahim Dasuki Imam Fulani Agaka, and the son of the blood brother of the 10th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Maliki bn Dasuki Agaka.

Prior to his appointment, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir was the founder and proprietor of Darul Bisharah Arabic and Islamic Studies, Airport Egbejila, Ilorin. He also served as the Imam leading daily and weekly Jumu'ah prayers at Afsat Oloriegbe Memorial Mosque, Oko Olowo, Ilorin. Additionally, he is a presenter of the Al-Bisharah Islamic Foundation radio program on Radio Kwara during Ramadan and teaches at Darul Kitab College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin.

Emir's Remarks

In his remarks, the Emir offered prayers for the new Chief Imam's successful reign, wishing him long life, sound health, and divine wisdom to effectively pilot the affairs of the Muslim Ummah.

"Amin. Long live the Ilorin Emirate. Shehu, Shehu, Shehu, wallahu yazimuka mina nas, amin," the Emir declared.
