NUMBERS 14:10 [KJV]
But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
GOD IS FULLY AWARE [NUMBERS 14:10].
Many at times we are tempted as human to think that most times God is not aware of what we are passing through. We are tempted at times to think that what we are passing through is hidden from God. Most times we even believe that until we call unto God God does not know whatever we may be passing through. These are untrue and unscriptural. Firstly, the scriptures reveal to us that our God is Omniscient i.e. He knows all things. He is also Omnipresent i.e. He is at everywhere at everytime!
According to our proof text, God is aware of everything that His own may be passing through per time; regardless of either they tell it to Him in prayer or not! The people of Israel in their foolishness and act of disrespect wanted to stone Moses and Aaron who were God's anointed for taking it upon themselves to take them to the glorious land God promised them. While they were about to do that, before Moses and Aaron could even call unto God to help them, lo and behold God appeared! He appeared to intervene on their behalf! He appeared to save them! If God had waited for their prayer before He would act they would not have gotten the opportunity to pray, as they would have been stoned! Moses never knew that God was aware of all that the Israelites were saying and planning against him and Aaron his brother!
God is ever currently aware of whatever His own may be passing through! He never overlooks the suffering of His own. He never look down on His own! The fact that you are in a problem never mean God isn't with you. In the dark time of our lives as God's own, God is always there for us. The Bible made it clear that the Lord saw the affliction of the children of Israel; despite how much they had suffered from the hands of Pharaoh and the entire Egyptians. He didn't just see alone; He looked into it and gave a way out of it. He sent Moses to go for their rescue. At the end, all of them got something in replacement for their long time of servitude. When the Lord was ready to save them, He did it at His own time. Joseph who was full of glory had to go through his hard time as well. He never knew it was God's own way of giving him the fulfillment of his dreams. He suffered like a nobody. Not knowing the suffering would lead him to his greatness. He could have thought his dreams of being a great person were mere fantasies. Despite how close Abraham was to God, he was still battling with childlessness. But in all God was still with him. When the Lord wanted to show him that He was fully aware, he gave him sons. He didn't even stop at that, God made promise to him that he was going to be a father to many nations.
Never think God has forgotten you in your unpleasant states. Never think God is not aware! Your father is the Omniscient! God is ever conscious of whatever we are passing through. He's fully aware. All that He needs from you is just you depending on Him and His saving power. Know that at His own time He will definitely come and help you. The three Hebrew men were in their right standing with God before they were thrown into the fiery furnace. On their way to the furnace, they might have thought God wasn't aware in heaven that they were on their way to the fiery furnace. Even up to the point where they were thrown into the furnace, they might have lost all hope ready for death. Not until God showed up for them in form of an angel. Mind you, they never prayed to God to show up for them o! God had never abandoned His own and will never do. Those turbulence, sorrow, trouble and challenges of yours, God is fully aware of them. He is journeying with you. Never give up on Him. At His own time, He will show you the way of escape. God knows about us than we know about ourselves! God knows about us than we thought!
1 SAMUEL 4:4 [KJV]
So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
WHEN THE ARK FAILS [1 SAMUEL 4:4].
Have you ever heard or seen God fail? Of course God never fail. Whatever He has said is what He will do. Whatsoever He has promised is what He will bring to fulfilment. A portion of the Bible says "...And God who does not lie..." meaning we can always rely on God's word. The ark represented God's presence then in the Old Testament. By implications, whenever the ark was with the Israelites, they had no reason to fear, because it had never fail. That's why the Israelites went with the ark to battles they wanted to involve in. In other words, they prioritized going to battles with the ark knowing that God couldn't go with them to a battle and they would come back home as a failure. However, in the passage where we picked our proof text from we could say that the ark failed for the very first time. To fail is to disappoint. To fail is not to handle a case or situation well. It's an act of acting contrary to a thing earlier said or promised. It's not to succeed. It's also to end up with failure. Before a man can be said to have failed, such must have had the ability not to have fail in such cases if handled well.
There are records of God's faithfulness in the Bible. It will be a great shame on God's children to think He will ever fail or disappoint. Take a look at the promise He made with Abraham and Sarah. At His own time, He made sure it came through. Remember when He promised the Israelites protection against the Egyptians at the Red Sea. He ensured they were saved. When He instructed the Israelites on how they would make the wall of Jericho fall and they followed the instruction, the wall fell helplessly before them. When God sent an angel to Mary the mother of Jesus to tell her about the prophecy about Jesus, despite the fact that the possibility of the prophecy was beyond human reasoning; yet, it happened in God's own time. God is too big a being than to fail. All that He needs not to fail are in His reach and capacity. No word of God is too great to be worked upon. It's only big before men. But before God, it's something little.
In the passage where we picked our proof text from we saw the ark failing - yes; it failed to save the Israelites as it should! However, the ark was not the one that failed or had fault. Are we to say the presence of God with the Israelites led to their defeat? Of course not. Are we to say God couldn't do something to get them saved? Far from it! Where the problem or failure came from was the people who were with the ark. The failure came from the priests that were assigned to handle the ark. Before this chapter, we have discovered a whole lot of evil practices done by those two priests. The Bible confirmed that they did whatever pleased them, with little or no regards for God's law. They didn't fear God. In addition they were sleeping with women. How then would God be pleased with such evil atrocities? God had to withdraw from the ark! God has no fault, only His ministers are liable to. In the case of the Israelites, it's Hophni and Phinehas that were at fault. Meaning that God was not to be held accountable for their defeat that day. Note that it was in that same battle that the two men died. In other words, God allowed their death. They were highly irresponsible ministers of God.
Whenever anointing fails in a ministry or minister's life God is not the one to be blamed! The minister of God must have been the one who fails! God will never fail man except until man have failed Him and He chooses to reciprocate the failure! Have you been wondering why that promise of God hasn't come to pass? Have you been thinking God failed in His own part of the game? Have you decided to make God your enemy for not acting according to His word? Did you discover something that God is supposed to release unto you by the virtue of being His and He's yet to do so? Check your own part of bringing the word to pass. God, at a time, told the Israelites that, "If you are willing and obedient, you will enjoy the benefits of the land". In other words, there's a condition placed on the promise. So, they would not be able to accuse God if they were never obedient. Note that whatever seems to be failure cannot be find in God. So, for every failure you have gotten from God, check your own part of obedience in aiding the fulfilment. Whenever the ark fails we should check and blame the priest assigned to the ark, and not the ark! God have no fault and never fail; only His ministers are liable to!
SUMMARY:
God is fully aware of everything we do or that happens to us here on earth! He knows all things and there is no searching of His Understanding! He is God over all things and that is why He can never fail! All we need as God's own is to play by the rules of the game and leave everything for God!
CONCLUSION:
For every promises of God to man there is an appointed time assign for its fulfillment! Though the appointed time may tarry we are to wait for it and not to conclude that God has forgotten us, or that He is not aware of the challenges we face as a result of the delay! To hasten the fulfilment of God's promises to us all we need to do is to play our own part of obedience to God.
