Awesome moments at Bible study yesterday
S O T E R I A
See this..
Romans 6:5
[5]For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
AMPC
[5]For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God].
We become ONE with Christ in His death.
This is because He died as us.
This i know many believe and don't have problem with
But this 👇
"We SHALL ALSO be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection.."
How's His resurrection?
Rom.6:9AMPC
[9]Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him.
He died ONCE... He will NEVER die again.
Don't you think that's this is ALSO true of the believer?
Because,
Romans 6:5
[5]For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
It means,
The DETERMINANT, whether the believer loses his salvation to sin, or goes to hell, isn't the believer himself, sir, but Christ.
We're just in the LIKENESS of His death & resurrection.
Thus, whatever happens to Him, happens to us as regards death & resurrection.
If His death & resurrection can be repeated, then you can expect the believer to lose his salvation to sins and perhaps find it again.
But if Christ's death & resurrection is ONCE and FOR ALL TIME, then the believer is SAVED ONCE AND FOR ALL THE TIME
The reason Christ Himself said these...
John 14:19
[19]Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
We live because He lives!
Hebrews 7:25
[25]Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
"Seeing he ever liveth.."
John 6:57
[57]As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
Wow 😲
Christ lives by the Father i.e until the father dies, Christ lives.
And the believer lives by Christ...
No, you can't beat this.
For a believer to die(separated from Christ) Christ has to die, and for Christ to die, God the father MUST die.
Do you see where the believer is now....💃💃
O deep gan
This is what it means that, the believer is being GARRISONED by the power of God.
1Pt.1:5AMPC
[5]Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God's power through [your] faith [till you fully inherit that final] salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time.
If you still argue eternal security of believers after reading this, you need to be personally attended to 😀
