We learnt yesterday that in Ephesians 1:11;
1. The inheritance(Sing.) we obtained in Christ are NOT possessions but a POSITION in/with God as sons/heirs of God. Romans 8:17, John 14:2-3, John 1:12, 1John 3:2
2. It is not physical/material but SPIRITUAL (its reality is in the unseen). Therefore, they are NOT houses, wealth, cars, marriage etc. 1Peter1:4
3. Those who have trusted in Christ(as Saviour) that is; believed the gospel( the death,burial & resurrection of Christ as payment for their sins) are the ones who have obtained this inheritance (position/status) in/with God
We also learnt that in Ephesians 1:13;
1a. A Seal is a signet, stamp that proof/authenticates/attest/validate a thing/person
1b. A seal is a stamp for security or preservation
2. The Seal of God upon the earth is the HolySpirit. This is what God places upon men to validate/authenticate/attest them as his own. Ephesians 4:30
Examples: Jesus at his baptism - Luke 3:22, John 6:27, Acts 10:38.
The Apostles - Acts 1:4-5, 8
We would continue in the teaching tonight and I would be bring a revelation to in 1Timothy 2:19 amongst other explanations in simplicity clarity and sincerity.
