DEFEATING ENEMIES THROUGH HIS CHILDREN

Psalm 76:2-3
(GNB) He has his home in Jerusalem; he lives on Mount Zion. There he broke the arrows of the enemy, their shields and swords, yes, all their weapons.

The scripture says our body is temple of the Living God, like I said in one of previous devotion last year, that we are the Eden, that is, God live through His Holy Spirit in us because we live by the Breath of Life who is JESUS in us, JESUS Himself is Life - John 14:6, John 10:10b

That is one of the reasons the LORD of Host always encourage us to fear not because He can defeat all our enemies through us if we believe. Isaiah 41:10-14

Most victories achieved in the Bible is God defeating the enemies of His children through His believing Children. David defeated Goliath because He believed that God Almighty that has helped him conquered lion and bear that came for his father's sheep can help overcome this giant that has terrorized his people and God defeated Goliath through David.

This is why faith in God is very essential in our Christian journey. JESUS said in "Mark 9:23 to him that believes all things are possible" if you recognize that the presence of the Living God is with you and the Mighty Power of God lives through you, you won't be afraid of anything.

Take for example, a child of President of a country won't be afraid moving around because he knows that they are security provided for him, and can kill if possible to ensure his safety.

Our opening scripture says " God broke the arrows of the enemies, all their weapon" because He live in Mount Zion "

WOW that's awesome

God is with us, in us to to destroy all the schemes of our enemies

1 John 4:4 affirm that greater is He that in me than he that is in the world...

Beloved, whatever you are facing which can be regarded as arrows and weapon of the enemies according to our opening scripture, know that there is Power in you that can break that arrows and destroy the weapons of the enemies, the name of that Power is JESUS

JESUS can break the arrows and weapons of sickness, addiction, poverty, stagnation, sin, rejection, delay , circle of struggle if you can believe.

Jehovah God is more than able to defeat all your enemies through you, just believe.

Father I surrender all to You, break and destroy the arrows and weapons of my enemies, glorify Your name in my life in the name of JESUS. Amen

GOD WILL MAKE A WAY

Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)

“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”

Life can be uncertain sometimes. We often find ourselves experiencing things we never planned for or imagined we would encounter.

Some of these things happen not necessarily because we have sinned, disobeyed God's instructions, or failed to apply wisdom. Sometimes, God uses the challenges we encounter to prepare us for a better future, building our capacity to accommodate what He has in store for us.

Romans 8:28 (NKJV) says:

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

In our opening Scripture, the LORD declares that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. This may make us ask, “Why would God allow us to go through the wilderness or experience the desert?”

The answer is simple: God can use difficult seasons to reveal His power, strengthen our faith, and develop the capacity He has placed within us.

📌Without darkness, people may not fully appreciate the beauty of light.

Likewise, some of life's difficult experiences can help us appreciate God's faithfulness in ways we might never have understood otherwise.

However, God does not take us through the wilderness merely to demonstrate His power. He can also use difficult journeys to teach us, strengthen us, and help us discover the abilities and courage we never knew we possessed.

James 1:3–4 (NKJV) teaches us that the testing of our faith produces patience, helping us grow toward spiritual maturity.

The Idoma people of Benue State, Nigeria, my people, have an adage that says, in essence, that the person who wants to kill a snake is afraid of the snake, and the snake is also afraid of its killer.

The lesson is that until you take a step and confront a challenge, you may never discover what you are capable of accomplishing with God's help.

In Genesis 1:26, God gave humanity the mandate to exercise dominion over the earth. Yet, many believers find themselves dominated by the very challenges they should confront with faith, wisdom, and obedience to God.

Beloved, do not allow fear to paralyse you. Trust God and take the necessary steps of faith.

Consider the experience of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in Daniel 3. God could have prevented King Nebuchadnezzar from throwing them into the fiery furnace, but He allowed them to face that trial and manifested His presence in the midst of the fire.

Daniel 3:25 (NKJV) records that the king saw four men walking freely in the fire, and the form of the fourth was like the Son of God.

What a mighty God we serve! The fire that was intended to destroy them did not consume them.

Sometimes, God delivers us from the fire, and sometimes, He demonstrates His faithfulness in the midst of it. Either way, we must learn to trust Him.

Beloved, whatever you are going through at the moment, even if it seems there is no way out, I encourage you to hold firmly to your faith in God. Do not give up, because He has promised never to leave nor forsake His own (Hebrews 13:5).

The same God who makes a way in the wilderness can make a way for you in your present circumstances. Keep trusting Him, keep praying, and keep obeying His Word.

You may not know how God will do it, when He will do it, or what method He will use, but you can trust Him to remain faithful to His promises. He may open a door you never expected, provide help from an unexpected source, give you wisdom to overcome an obstacle, or strengthen you to endure until your season changes.

Remember the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV), which assure us that God is faithful and will provide a way of escape so that we may be able to bear temptation.

Therefore, do not surrender to fear. Do not conclude that your situation is hopeless. Do not allow the present challenge to bury the vision God has placed in your heart.

Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep obeying His Word. Keep taking the right steps of faith.
The God who makes a way where there seems to be no way has not lost His power!

PRAYER

Father, I thank You because You are the God who makes a way in the wilderness and brings rivers into the desert, make a way for me, help me quickly in the name of JESUS. Amen

DECEPTIVE SPIRITS

1 Timothy 4:1 (NLT)
“Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.”

One of the great challenges facing the saints of God in these last days is deception. The Bible clearly warns us that some will depart from the true faith and follow deceptive spirits and teachings that do not come from God.

Beloved, deceptive spirits are at work, spreading false teachings and misleading people through signs, wonders, and doctrines that contradict the truth of God's Word.

Matthew 24:24 (NKJV) says, “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

This is a serious warning to every believer. Not every sign and wonder is proof that a person or a ministry is approved by God. Therefore, we must not allow our desire for miracles, breakthroughs, signs, and wonders to become greater than our love for God and His truth.

Beloved, our love for God must be greater than our desire for miracles!

Jesus said in John 14:15 (NKJV), “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Many believers, without seeking the leading of the Holy Spirit, abandon their primary place of worship and God-given assignments in pursuit of what they consider to be quick miracles. While it is good to attend Christian programs and receive spiritual blessings, we must ensure that our decisions are guided by the Holy Spirit and aligned with the Word of God.

Romans 8:14 (NKJV) says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

Beloved, we must not fall into the trap of deceptive and demonic teachings. The convictions we embrace and the spiritual paths we follow can influence our households and those who look up to us. This is why we must be careful about what we believe, teach, and practice.

2 John 1:9 (NKJV) warns, “Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God.”

We must also continually ask God for discernment so that we can distinguish between the truth and error, the genuine and the counterfeit, and the voice of God and the voice of deception.

Hebrews 5:14 (NKJV) explains that mature believers have their senses trained “to discern both good and evil.”

Beloved, never accept a teaching merely because it comes from a highly respected personality, a popular minister, or a ministry with a large following. Neither should we reject the truth simply because it is unpopular. Every teaching must be examined in the light of God's Word.

The people of Berea provide a good example for us. Even when Apostle Paul preached to them, they searched the Scriptures daily to confirm what they heard.

Acts 17:11 (NKJV) says, “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”

Beloved, the Word of God must remain our ultimate standard for evaluating every teaching, prophecy, revelation, sign, and spiritual experience. The Holy Spirit will never lead us into a doctrine that contradicts the truth of God's Word.

Isaiah 8:20 (NKJV) declares, “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

Our goal is not merely to experience miracles but to know God, love Him, obey His Word, and remain faithful to Him until the end.

Matthew 24:13 (NKJV) says, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

May we not be carried away by deceptive spirits or false teachings. May our hearts remain established in the truth of God's Word, and may we finish our race faithfully in Christ JESUS. Amen

TURN ASIDE QUICKLY

Exodus 32:7–8 (NKJV)
“And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’ ”

Beloved, I want to encourage you, by the mercies of the LORD of Hosts, to stand firm in faith, regardless of whatever seeks to distract you, offer you solutions that cannot truly solve your problems, or take the glory that belongs to the Almighty God alone.

As usual, the Holy Spirit led me to Exodus 32 for our devotion. As I studied this chapter, I discovered the heartbreaking story of the Israelites, whom the Almighty God delivered from the land of captivity through the hand of Moses, bringing them out of Egypt and leading them through the Red Sea.

What troubled me most about this story was Aaron's willingness to make a golden image for the Israelites using their jewellery. Aaron had been with Moses and had witnessed God's mighty acts. What happened to him?

This teaches me that people may walk alongside you on your Christian journey, but the question is: For how long will they remain faithful to God?

Beloved, this is not just a Bible story; it reflects the reality of what is happening among many JESUS Believers across the world today.

It is heartbreaking that the number of pastors, churches, and evangelists continues to increase, yet in many places, the transforming power of God seems to be losing its place because many are turning aside quickly from the way of the LORD.

In Exodus 32, Moses had gone up the mountain to seek God, leaving the Israelites waiting for his return. They knew where Moses had gone, yet instead of remaining steadfast and patiently waiting for him, they allowed impatience to take over their hearts.

I believe the best thing Aaron and the Israelites could have done was to remain faithful, continue trusting God, and patiently wait for Moses to return. Unfortunately, they felt Moses was taking too long, and they turned aside quickly, with Aaron even helping them to do so.

Beloved, have you turned aside quickly because you feel the promises of God are taking too long to come to pass?

Have you started seeking a shortcut because you are tired of waiting on God?

Have you allowed pressure from family, friends, or society to make you consider alternatives that are contrary to God's Word and His will for your life?

Remember that every promise of God will come to pass in its appointed time. Our responsibility is to remain steadfast in faith and not give up while waiting.

Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”

Beloved, do not allow pressure from family, friends, or society to make you turn aside quickly. The One who created you and made promises concerning your life is in control of times and seasons.

Our God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He knows what is best for you, and He knows the right time for His purpose to be fulfilled in your life.

Therefore, do not abandon your faith because of what people are saying. Do not compromise your convictions because you feel left behind. Do not embrace an ungodly alternative simply because the journey seems long.

What seems like a delay to you may be a season in which God is preparing you for what lies ahead.

PRAYER

Father, grant me the grace to wait patiently for my appointed time of appearing and manifestation, disconnect me from every relationship that would lead me away from Your will and good purpose for my life in the name of JESUS Amen!

IN THE LIGHT OF GOD’S WORD

Deuteronomy 13:1–3 (NKJV)

“If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Forever, O LORD, Your Word is settled in heaven! Almighty God never contradicts Himself or His Word. However, He allows tests that reveal the condition of our hearts and the depth of our faithfulness to Him. One way the Scriptures illustrate this is through prophetic messages and signs that must be tested against His revealed truth.

By the mercies of God, the LORD of Hosts speaks to me. I have come to recognize the voice of the HOLY SPIRIT, both through a loud voice and when speaks through a Still small voice. There has hardly been a day when I have not received a revelation. Yet, despite these experiences, I make it a responsibility to examine every revelation carefully in the light of God's Word. In many cases, the revelation itself comes with Scripture that confirms its message.

For example, I recently received a troubling revelation concerning someone very close to me. I was deeply disturbed, so I went into serious prayer, seeking God's wisdom and understanding concerning the revelation. I wanted to be certain that I was interpreting it correctly and not acting out of fear or confusion.

Although the Scriptures acknowledge that a person's enemies may sometimes come from within their own household, I did not allow that truth to make me jump to conclusions. Instead, I continued praying earnestly. The HOLY SPIRIT reveal this same revelation in different terrible form five times within two weeks, yet I did not stop seeking God. I asked for grace and mercy to handle the matter spiritually and wisely, which I did and subsequently, I sent a word of caution to some persons.

Beloved, the lesson here is that we must never allow a revelation, no matter how convincing it appears, to replace our responsibility to seek God and examine everything in the light of His Word.

GENUINE REVELATIONS MUST BE TESTED

Beloved, there are genuine dreams and genuine dreamers. There are genuine revelations through which God may warn us about things to come, bring matters to our attention, or provide direction that can lead to our transformation.

However, we must also understand that not every spiritual message should be accepted without examination. A person may even receive a sign or deliver a prophecy that comes to pass, yet the message may still lead people away from the truth of God.

This is the warning in our opening Scripture. The fact that a sign comes to pass does not automatically mean that the message accompanying it should be accepted.

The Word of God remains the final standard by which every spiritual experience, prophecy, dream, and revelation must be examined.

Never allow a spectacular manifestation to take the place of biblical truth. Do not measure the authenticity of a spiritual message merely by its accuracy, the reputation of the person delivering it, or the fear it creates in your heart.

THE NEW COVENANT IS OUR STANDARD

Beloved, whatever contradicts the Word of God must be rejected, no matter how good, convincing, or spiritually appealing it sounds.

In particular, we must understand the sufficiency of the sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST under the New Covenant. Someone may point to animal sacrifices in the Old Testament and attempt to persuade you to practise things that disregard the finished work of CHRIST.

However, the New Testament reveals that JESUS CHRIST offered Himself once for all. His sacrifice is sufficient for our redemption.

Hebrews 10:12 (NKJV) says:

“But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.”

Therefore, we must not embrace practices that undermine the finished work of CHRIST or contradict the teachings of the New Testament.

Something does not become right simply because it produces a result. Our opening Scripture makes it clear that even when a sign or wonder comes to pass, God's people must remain faithful to Him and His commandments.

Never exchange biblical truth for a spiritual experience, a prophetic promise, or a seemingly good result.

📌Our love for God must be greater than our desire for signs, wonders, breakthroughs, or supernatural experiences.

DO NOT DISCARD EVERY SPIRITUAL WARNING

However, beloved, this message is not an instruction to dismiss every dream, prophecy, or spiritual warning.

Rather, it is a call to exercise spiritual discernment.

When you receive a troubling revelation, especially one involving someone close to you, do not allow your emotions to take control. Do not immediately condemn the person, spread the information, or make decisions based solely on what you have seen or heard.

Take the matter before God. Examine it in the light of His Word. Ask the HOLY SPIRIT for wisdom to understand what you have received and the grace to respond appropriately.

Remember that a revelation may require prayer, patience, further understanding, or a careful response. It does not automatically authorize you to accuse someone or treat a suspicion as an established fact.

We may believe that certain people could never harm us, but human hearts can be deceptive, and people can sometimes act wrongly, knowingly or unknowingly. Therefore, we must remain spiritually alert without becoming suspicious of everyone around us.

This is why we need both spiritual discernment and godly wisdom.

Do not allow familiarity to make you careless, but do not allow a troubling revelation to make you unjust toward another person.

Let the Word of God guide your understanding, and let the character of CHRIST govern your response.

HE SET THE SOLITARY IN FAMILIES

Psalm 68:6 (NKJV)
“God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.”

One major reason the Scriptures instruct us not to forsake the gathering of the saints is that loneliness can be a terrible experience that gradually affects a person's emotional, spiritual, and sometimes physical well-being.

In His wisdom, God has placed us in different kinds of families: our immediate families, extended families, and church families. One of the purposes of these relationships is to provide companionship, support, guidance, and encouragement so that we do not have to walk through life alone.

Family is very important for guidance, correction, support, and growth. A healthy family should be a place where you can be yourself without being ashamed, where you can express your thoughts and feelings, and where you can receive correction without being rejected.

When you belong to a godly family, especially a Christian family, your spiritual growth can become faster if you are willing to listen and learn. Unfortunately, many people do not listen to the wisdom and information available within their families. They often disregard valuable counsel that could contribute to their growth and transformation because of familiarity, pride, or a refusal to accept correction.

Beloved, the cloud of witnesses the LORD of Hosts has placed around you to encourage your spiritual growth and stability in these end times includes the godly people He has positioned in your life. These may be members of your immediate family, extended family, or church family.

Therefore, do not take the counsel and information you receive from these people for granted. Examine what you hear carefully in the light of God's Word, and ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding and help you discern how to apply it.

Remember, God can use people within your family to communicate wisdom, provide direction, offer correction, and strengthen you in your walk with Him.

However, because the enemy understands the importance of family unity and the blessings that can flow through godly relationships, he seeks to sow seeds of discord, arrogance, pride, hatred, envy, and other forms of evil among family members.

Sadly, some families that should be sources of strength and encouragement have become places of conflict, bitterness, and division. Instead of supporting one another, some members become instruments of discouragement and destruction in the lives of their own relatives.

Beloved, where there is persistent disagreement and division within a family, do not allow the enemy to use those conflicts to destroy the good things God desires to accomplish through its members.

Sometimes, there are great destinies within a family, but the inability of family members to walk in love, unity, humility, and mutual support can hinder their collective progress. This is why we must be watchful, prayerful, and intentional about preserving peace within our families.

Our opening Scripture says that God sets the solitary in families, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. This reminds us of the importance of embracing God's wisdom, receiving godly counsel, and maintaining a heart that is willing to learn.

Beloved, take your family relationships seriously. Be willing to share godly wisdom and divine instructions with your family members. Even when you are misunderstood, rejected, or disregarded, do your part in love, humility, and prayer.

You may not be able to control how others respond to you, but you can choose to remain faithful to God and do what is right.

Never allow pride, bitterness, or offence to make you abandon your responsibility to love, encourage, and pray for your family.

As you do your part, trust JEHOVAH to work in the hearts of your family members and accomplish His purpose in His own way and time.

PRAYER:
Father, in the name of JESUS, help me to value the family You have placed me in. Give me the wisdom to recognise godly counsel, the humility to receive correction, and the grace to promote love, peace, and unity among my family members. Let every seed of discord, hatred, envy, and pride be uprooted from our relationships. Make our families instruments of spiritual growth, encouragement, and divine purpose, in JESUS' name. Amen!
