THE LINK: JESUS’ RESPONSE TO SMALL

Matthew 14:17–19 (NKJV)
“And they said to Him, ‘We have here only five loaves and two fish.’ He said, ‘Bring them here to Me.’ Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.”

Every little provision, help, favour, opportunity, and act of kindness can be a LINK to something greater.

However, our response to small beginnings can either activate the link to surplus or deactivate the link to the abundance we are expecting.

Let us examine JESUS’ response to something that appeared small.

From our opening Scripture, JESUS saw beyond what the disciples could see. While the disciples saw only five loaves and two fish, JESUS saw the possibility of feeding a multitude.

JESUS, being God, knew that the little in their hands could become much when surrendered to the hands of God.

He did not despise the little.

He did not reject it because it was insufficient.

He simply said:

“Bring them here to Me.”

JESUS accepted the little, gave thanks to God, blessed it, broke it, and released it—and that little became a supernatural supply for thousands.

What looked like little provisions became a LINK to great abundance.

JESUS never disregarded the little. He was grateful that there was a provision at all, and He blessed the name of the LORD, the God of increase and multiplication.

By responding correctly to the little, JESUS activated the LINK to the surplus.

I always teach that there is often only one step between us and our miracle. But our actions and reactions can either turn that one step into a million steps or help us take that single step into our testimony.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO DISCONNECT THE LINK

Isaiah 59:1–2 (NKJV)
“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.”

The word “iniquity” carries the idea of deviation or turning away from what is right.

This is one of the dangers among believers in this end time. Sometimes, we disconnect ourselves from what God is doing because of disobedience, wrong reactions, pride, or spiritual insensitivity.

The enemy can take advantage of these things and cause people to miss what God has prepared for them.

We often fail to recognize the move of God because we disregard the LINK to the greater harvest.

Sometimes, the answer does not arrive looking like the answer we expected.

Sometimes, the miracle begins as an opportunity.

Sometimes, divine provision comes through an unexpected person.

Sometimes, the door to abundance begins with something that looks insignificant.

Do not despise the LINK because it looks small.

We must learn to respond to small things the JESUS way.

JESUS was grateful that there was a provision at all. With all His authority and divine status, He still humbled Himself, accepted the little that was available, gave thanks to God, and allowed the Father to multiply it.

BELOVED, ASK YOURSELF:

How often have you rejected an offer simply because it was not what you hoped for?

How often have you neglected counsel that could have transformed your life simply because it did not come from someone you considered important?

How often have you missed your miracle in your time and season because of insensitivity to the operation of the Heavenly Host?

How often have you failed to appreciate the little kindness offered to you by someone who may not have much?

Beloved, never allow pride to make you reject what God has provided.

The person may look small, the opportunity may look small, the beginning may look small, and the provision may look insufficient—but God specializes in turning little into much.

The five loaves and two fish were not enough in the hands of men, but they became more than enough in the hands of JESUS.

Therefore, learn humility.

Learn gratitude.

Learn discernment.

Learn to recognize divine opportunities.

Learn to honour small beginnings.

Because what you call small today may be the LINK to the abundance you have been praying for tomorrow.

Do not disconnect yourself from your miracle by despising its beginning.

Father, teach me Your ways and enlighten my understanding. Give me the grace to recognize, appreciate, and properly respond to every divine LINK You bring into my life. Deliver me from pride, ingratitude, disobedience, and spiritual insensitivity. Help me never to despise what You have provided, no matter how small it may appear. In the name of JESUS. Amen.

RESPOND TO SMALL BEGINNING

1 Kings 18:44 (NKJV)
“Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, ‘There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!’ So he said, ‘Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”

Israel had turned away from the Almighty God and followed Baal, whom they believed was responsible for abundance, rain, and increase. Because of their rebellion, the LORD of Hosts shut the heavens, and there was no rain for more than three years.

But God was about to restore what had been lost.

Elijah went into serious prayer to bring rain back upon the land. He instructed his servant to go and look toward the sea. Elijah remained in the place of prayer while his servant went to check seven times.

On the seventh time, the servant returned with what appeared to be an insignificant report:

“There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!”

That was all Elijah needed.

Elijah did not despise the little sign. He understood that a small cloud could be the beginning of an overwhelming rain.

BELOVED, THERE ARE GREAT LESSONS HERE:

How do you respond to a small sign and a small beginning after a long season of fasting and prayer?

Many believers have missed their great harvest because of their wrong response to a small beginning.

Notice something powerful: Elijah himself did not see the cloud; his servant did.

The servant did not say, “Master, it is already raining.”

He did not say, “The whole sky is dark.”

He simply said:

“There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand.”

But Elijah knew what that little cloud represented.

He immediately told Ahab:

“Prepare your chariot and go down before the rain stops you!”

Elijah's response to the small beginning triggered a greater harvest.

Beloved, what you call “little” may be the beginning of what you have been praying for.

Someone offers you a job, but the salary is small and the location is inconvenient. Instead of thanking God for opening a door, you begin to complain.

You forget that the door may be small, but what God intends to bring through it may be great.

Someone gives you a little transportation money when you have been praying for your own car. Instead of rejoicing and thanking God, you begin to grumble because you have not yet received the car.

Beloved, the small gift may be a sign that your greater provision is already on its way.

Many believers lose the opportunity to enjoy greater miracles because of their response to small beginnings.

After waiting, fasting, and praying, when the first tiny favour comes, they despise it because it does not look like the final testimony they expected.

But remember:

The cloud was small, but the rain was abundant.

The beginning was tiny, but the harvest was great.

The sign was little, but the testimony was mighty.

Israel had waited for more than three years for rain, and when the answer first appeared, it looked like nothing more than a cloud the size of a man's hand.

Yet that tiny cloud became the evidence of an overwhelming downpour.

BELOVED, DON'T DESPISE YOUR SMALL BEGINNING.

That little favour may be connected to a greater favour.

That little promotion may be connected to a greater elevation.

That little opportunity may be connected to a greater assignment.

That little kindness may be connected to a greater provision.

That little door may be the entrance into a greater season.

Respond to every tiny favour with great joy and thanksgiving.

Do not grumble over what has started because it is not yet what you are expecting.

Instead, thank God for the little cloud and begin to prepare for the rain!

Your response to the small beginning matters.

May God enlighten our eyes to recognize the signs of our coming harvest and give us the wisdom to respond with faith, joy, and thanksgiving.

Father, enlighten my eyes of understanding to recognize every small beginning You are bringing into my life, in the name of JESUS. Amen.

SMALL BEGINNING

Zechariah 4:10 (NKJV)
“For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

Our God, the LORD Almighty, is a Miracle Worker. He often begins great things in very small ways. Therefore, as His children, we must never despise or become discouraged by small beginnings.

What may appear small in the eyes of men can be the beginning of something great in the hands of God.

The world today has a population of almost eight billion people, yet God began with just one man and one woman. Even after the flood, He began again with Noah, his three sons, and their wives. Look at the great difference today!

Beloved, whatever the Almighty God has called you to do, begin where you are and with what you have. Remain faithful, and in His appointed time and season, you will experience uncommon growth.

If the Almighty God, in His wisdom, asks you to remain in a village, trust Him. Stay there and faithfully do whatever He has instructed you to do, because He may be preparing to build something great through you right where you are.

For emphasis, when the LORD brought me to Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria, after taking me around some villages, I asked the Father, “I don't know anyone here. The city is highly expensive. How do I begin?”

His response was simple: “Go around the city and keep praying. Start a prayer and fasting program online.”

Well, I started “Mine Shall Be POSSIBLE” by the roadside.

After about a year, I cried out, “LORD, nobody is connecting.”

His response was, “I AM watching.”

Today, there are still many great promises ahead of us. We are far from where we are going, but we are not where we used to be. Glory to God!

Beloved, don't wait until everything is ready before you begin.

As I often tell people, “Miracle is in the move.” Until you move, you may not experience His move.

Your movement can be an evidence of your faith in God.

Don't wait until you have millions or billions before you begin. Start with what you have. Plan, pray, seek the Holy Spirit, ask Him when and how to begin, and then move in obedience.

Never despise your small beginning.

The little prayer may become a mighty ministry.
The little idea may become a great vision.
The little step may open a great door.
The little seed may become a harvest that will bless generations.

Your beginning may be small, but your God is BIG!

Father, give me wisdom in my days of small beginning. Give me the grace to remain faithful, obedient, and focused until I experience the growth You have ordained for me. Help me never to despise the day of small things, in the mighty name of JESUS. Amen.

WHO IS THE DEVIL?

Matthew 10:36
(NKJV) and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’

It is true that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places, against ruler of darkness of this world according to Ephesians 6:12 but most often these entities carry out their operation through human in flesh and blood and shockingly through those that are often very close to us.

Our opening scripture says the man's enemies are those of his household, which is the Truth because forever Oh LORD thy Word is settled in Heaven meaning the Devil is among us, know us very well and can successfully carry out their evil schemes except mercy of God prevail.

For Abel the Devil is one and only senior brother Cain, Abel never imagine that his big brother will be the one that will sniff life out of him suddenly just because of the acceptance of his own good sacrifice. Genesis 4:3-8

For Joseph the Devil is his brothers, Joseph was always excited to share his dream with his brothers not to mock them but just because the innocent boy believes that his family will be happy with him so he entrusted them with his powerful destiny information and revelations which didn't go down well with them. Genesis 37

For Tamar the daughter of King David the Devil is his big brother Amnon, as a young growing princess, her dignity is her virginity, so she carried herself well and dressed in the royal apparel always which signify that she is a virgin and most remain so till she gets married but the Devil in his big brother chartered her dream, he deceived his father by pretending he was sick and requested his younger sister to come cook for him, at the process he r***d her and destroy her dignity. 2 Samuel 13

For Our LORD and Saviour JESUS the Devil is one of His staff, a disciple he entrusted the treasure into his hand Judas Iscariot, he betrayed the LORD JESUS for money and ended badly.

Beloved, this is not to hate your family member because some of the ways in which the Devil take root and come quickly through family members is when there is hatred, envy, bitterness, pride, but when by the help of the Holy Spirit you discovered some of this, what you do is to withdraw yourself from all activities that involves such person, or people and results to prayers until there is great changes.

Abba Father help me to do thy will daily as I live in the name of JESUS. Amen
