With utmost humility and reverence to the Supreme Godhead, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, the Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe, and His Christ, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Leader Unified Universal Theocratic Council and Head of Administration, BCS Worldwide,

We, the leadership of the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS), Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Chapter, and the Central Planning Committee, on behalf of our members, hereby announce the postponement of the Chapter’s 28th Anniversary Celebration, which was scheduled to hold from Thursday, 12th to Sunday, 15th February 2026.

This decision is in strict compliance with the recent directive of the State Administrator, as communicated in the official memorandum issued by the ABAS Akwa Ibom State Secretariat, suspending all capital-intensive and statewide activities for the first quarter of 2026 in order to focus all preparations for the forthcoming BCS Universal Mega Event billed to hold in April at the world headquarters, 34 Ambo, Calabar.

We regret the extensive preparations already made by the Committee and sincerely appreciate the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by ABASites toward making the anniversary celebration a memorable one. However, in alignment with the State leadership and in obedience to the directive, we are constrained to defer the event at this time.

A new date for the celebration will be communicated in due course.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience this postponement may cause and humbly solicit your understanding, cooperation, and continued support.

May the peace and blessings of our God, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu abide with you all, now and forevermore. Amen.

DID YOU KNOW, ABAS WAS THE FIRST FELLOWSHIP OFFICIALLY REGISTERED ON CAMPUS, STANDING TALL RIGHT AFTER THE INSTITUTION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1997?

In the early days following the establishment of the institution, AKWA IBOM STATE POLYTECHNIC in 1991, when structures were still taking shape and traditions were yet to be defined, Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars emerged as the very first fellowship officially registered as a campus fellowship through the effort of the former polytechnic chief librarian, Elder Dr. Okon Enidiok Ph.D, who is the grand patron of ABAS Akwapoly and Sis Rosemary Archibong, the pioneer president of the prestigious ABAS Akwapoly in 1997.

ABAS represents hope, vision, and spiritual grounding at a pivotal moment in the institution’s history. It became a gathering point for spiritual mentorship, and shared purpose, offering students and staff a sense of belonging during the formative years of the campus community.

Over the years, ABAS has remained steadfast in nurturing character, inspiring leadership, and fostering values that extend far beyond the classroom. Generations have passed through its fellowship, carrying forward lessons of service, integrity, and unity into society through the demonstration of the Fellowship core values as taught by the supernatural teacher, Great Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.

Today, as the institution continues to grow and evolve, ABAS stands as a living testament to the power of early commitment. Its story is inseparable from the story of the campus itself, a reminder that "strong beginnings shape lasting futures."

FAITHFUL STEWARDS OF GOD'S GRACE: CELEBRATING 28 YEARS OF DIVINE KNOWLEDGE ADVANCEMENT

The Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS), Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Chapter, joyfully invites the general public, brethren, friends, and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond to her 28th Anniversary Celebration, taking place from 12th – 15th February, 2026, at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic.

This sacred celebration is themed:
“Faithful Stewards of God’s Grace: Celebrating 28 Years of Divine Knowledge Advancement.”

For 28 years, God’s grace has sustained the vision, strengthened the faith, and advanced divine knowledge. ABAS AKWAPOLY HOLDS HER FIRST CONGRESS OF THE YEAR: A GATHERING OF GRATITUDE AND UNITY

The Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS), Akwapoly Chapter, joyfully convened its first congress of the year, observing the customary breaking of Thursday fasting.

The congress was filled with love and fellowship as Abasites shared a rich and satisfying feast prepared in unity. Attendance was remarkable, reflecting the strong commitment of Abasites to the growth of the fellowship.

New Year giveaway were also distributed to Abasites as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement.

Abasites expressed great joy in coming together once again after the Christmas break.The reunion after the Christmas break rekindled joy among Abasites and strengthened their resolve to continually uplift the Face of the Holy Father on campus.

With grateful hearts, ABAS Akwapoly thanks the Most Holy Father for His overwhelming love, protection, grace, and the gift of life. To Him alone be all glory, honor, and praise, Through the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

ABAS AKWAPOLY EMBARKS ON MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

The Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS) Akwa Ibom state polytechnic recently carried out a membership drive on campus to reach out to new intakes and introduce them to the fellowship.
The event aimed to share the values and benefits of being an Abasite and to welcome new members into the fellowship.

We are grateful to our Holy Father, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, for the strength and guidance that enabled us to carry out this initiative.
We also appreciate the efforts of all ABAS members who participated in the drive, contributing to its success.
