HIDDEN FOR PREPARATION
There is a divine pattern in the Kingdom that many people misunderstand—and because they misunderstand it, they resist the very season that God has ordained to prepare them.
There is a season of being hidden, and there is a season of manifestation.
The tragedy is this: many want manifestation without preparation.
But in God’s system, exposure without preparation leads to destruction.
God hides His vessels before He reveals them.
“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.”(Luke 1:80 (KJV)
John the Baptist was not wasted in the wilderness—he was formed there.
The wilderness was not a delay—it was a design.
The silence was not neglect—it was preparation.
Before he stood before multitudes, he stood alone before God.
Before he announced Christ publicly, Christ was formed in him privately.
1. JOSEPH — HIDDEN IN THE PIT AND PRISON
“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house…”(Genesis 41:39–40 (KJV)
Joseph’s destiny was rulership—but his preparation was hidden.
He went from:
* The pit
* To slavery
* To prison
None of those environments looked like prophecy being fulfilled.
But they were not contradictions—they were training grounds.
The pit dealt with his pride.
Potiphar’s house trained his stewardship.
The prison developed his discernment and patience.
By the time he stood before Pharaoh, he was not just a dreamer—he was a governor in character.
God will never release you into a public assignment that your private character cannot sustain.
2. MOSES — HIDDEN IN MIDIAN
“Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law… And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush…”
(Exodus 3:1–2 (KJV)
Moses was trained in Pharaoh’s palace—but he was prepared in Midian.
Forty years in obscurity.
