THEME OF THE MONTH ÷ IRREVERSIBLE BLESSINGS.

TEXT÷ NUM 28 VS 19-23

● Balaam was hired by the King of Moab to place a curse on the Israelites as they journeyed through the wilderness. He wanted to reverse their blessings and defeat them through a curse. But, the Israelites were a blessed people. The angel of the Lord almost put Balaam to death for persisting in his attempt to curse Israel. In place of the intended curse, Balaam said "God has blessed and I cannot reverse it"

It is impossible to reverse the blessings of God.This irreversible blessing is based upon a solid foundation: ‭Numbers 23:19 "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil?"

● Reasons why our blessings cannot be reversed.
1. God has declared it and it cannot be reversed. As long as you believe in his spoken word it will surely come to pass - Num 23:19

2. Jesus replaced our curse with blessings that cannot be reversed. He has commanded blessings upon his children. He paid the price on the cross so we can enjoy the blessings of the Lord.

● Conditions for continous irreversible blessings - 1 Sam 2 vs 27 - 29, Hosea 5 vs 9.
1. We must continually love God.
2. We must possess the attributes of God. The spirit of obedience,righteousness, honesty etc.
3. We must not look back.
4. Total surrender to God in obedience.
