𝗕𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗯𝗶𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗲: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 🕊️

The late Spiritual Head of the Ona Iwa Mimo Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide, His Eminence Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle, will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Baba Aladura Ibikunle, who died on Monday at the age of 88, will be honoured with a series of funeral activities scheduled to take place in Oyo State.

According to the burial programme released by the church on Wednesday, the remains of the late spiritual leader will be moved from Igboho to Otu and Saki before being returned to Igboho on Friday, September 4.

The movement of the remains from Igboho is scheduled to commence at 8:00 a.m.

A Service of Songs will also be held on Friday at the Ona Iwa Mimo Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Otu, Durodoluwa District, Oyo State.

The main burial ceremony will take place at the church’s International Headquarters in Obaago, Igboho, on Saturday, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Following the burial service, the remains of Baba Aladura Ibikunle will be committed to mother earth at the burial ground designated for Baba Aladuras within the International Headquarters.

The church has called on its members, friends, associates and well-wishers to participate in the funeral activities as it pays its final respects to the late spiritual leader and honours his contributions to the church..

It is with profound sorrow, deep reverence, and total submission to the will of Almighty God that the Ona Iwa Mimo North American Sub-Conference announces the glorious transition of our father, leader, and spiritual head, His Eminence, Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle, JP, COM, the Supreme Head of Ona Iwa Mimo Worldwide.

Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle was ordained as the Supreme Head of Ona Iwa Mimo Worldwide on the 13th of August 2005. For 21 years, he faithfully served the Church and the people of God, leaving an enduring legacy through his leadership, dedication, spiritual exploits, and commitment to the advancement of Ona Iwa Mimo.

After 21 years of great exploits in the service of God and His Church, he went to sleep with his fathers today, the 31st of August 2026.

His transition is a great loss to Ona Iwa Mimo, the Cherubim & Seraphim family, and all who were blessed by his life and ministry. Nevertheless, we take comfort in the assurance of Holy Scripture:

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”
— Psalm 116:15

We give thanks to Almighty God for the life, leadership, and legacy of His Eminence. We pray that the Lord will comfort the family, strengthen the leadership and entire membership of Ona Iwa Mimo, and grant us all the grace to continue the work he has left behind.

The Lord shall uphold His Church. Amen!

May the soul of His Eminence, Baba Aladura Joseph Aderibigbe Ibikunle, JP, COM, rest in perfect peace.
