*MAIN TRUTH:*
God is always with us, and He will protect and deliver us from life's challenges and difficulties.

This encourages believers in Christ Jesus to trust in God's sovereignty, care and love even in the midst of uncertainty, fear or hardship. *Psalm 23:4,5*

*BODY OF MESSAGE:*
State the nature of God from the passage and the nature of man from the passages with cross references.

State the Christian's identity in Christ Person and His works on the Cross with cross references.

God is able to keep His own save at all times and in all situations.

He kept Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego through the fiery furnace of Nebuchadnezzar *Daniel 3:16-18; 26.*

God promises to be with us in the dangers we face, whether the fire or storms of life *Isah.43; Psa.91*

God is distant to the sinful man *Isah. 59: 1-2*. David located Mephibosheth who was disabled and forgotten to show him God's mercy and kindness.

Jesus came to bridge the gap, to remove the middle wall of separation *Eph. 2: 11- 15*.

*TOPIC: 👇 SPIRITUAL WEAPONS.*

*(👉🏾 OHUN ÌJÀ TI ÈMÍ)*

*1ST LESSON: 👇 ISAIAH 54:11-17*

*2ND LESSON: 👇 Il CORINTHIANS 10:1-6*

*HIGHLIGHTS.*
All born-again Christians are soldiers of Christ.
They are members of the end-time armies, enlisted in the military formation of God to fight for the advancement of God's kingdom on earth. *II Tim. 2:3.*

The day you accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, you became number one enemy to the devil and his agents. You became terrorist to devil's kingdom. *Eph. 5:12.*

As such, enemies must gather together in different ways and forms, with their weapons of war, but they cannot prevail, because the battle is of the Lord. *Il Chr. 20:15-17* compared with *lsah. 54:15-17*

Know that the devil can use anything/anybody as his agent to fight you.

To some; their own mother, to some; their father, to some their children, to many; their wives or husbands, to others; their bosom friends, associates, neighbours, co-church members etc. *Matt 10:36* compared with *John 7:3-5*

Fighting these people will make the matter worst because they are not the real enemies and the battle is not physical. *Eph. 6:12.*

You are fighting enemies that cannot be seen, but sees you, enemies that you don't know but knows you.

These enemies are not flesh or blood but are principalities and powers in spiritual realm. *Eph. 6:13-18.*

It is a spiritual battle that needs spiritual tactics. Until you change your tactics, victory is not certain.

No wonder Apostle Paul said in *ll Cor. 10:4* that our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God to pull down strong holds.

So, enough of using physical weapons like hatred, malice, fighting,
insulting, abusing, charms, occultic powers etc. they cannot give you desired victory.

Use spiritual weapons. *Il Sam 17:38-40, Rom. 12:1719*

These Spiritual weapon includes:
1. *Love:* love your enemy that is the commandment of God.
Pray for them to change. *Rom. 12:20.*

2. Praise and worship: God inhabits the praises of His people. *Psa. 22:3.*

Those who are addicted to praise and worship are constant carrier of God's presence.
And tell me that power that can overcome Jehovah. *II Chron. 20:22-25.*

3. The Word of God: as sword is an important weapon in the physical combat, so also is the word of God in the spiritual combat.
Word of God is the sword of spirit. *Eph. 6:17.*

4. *Prayer:* prayer is another effective weapon in the spiritual realm. Report your enemy to your Father through prayer and see what He will do.
Stop fighting battle alone, it is a dangerous thing to do. *I Thess. 5:17, Eph. 6:18.*

5. *Holiness:* holiness remains the strong hold, the hedge, the dependable fence of all Christians.
And until you break this hedge, serpent cannot bite. *Prov. 16:17, Eccl. 10:8.*

*PRAYER 🛐:*
*🗣️Father, empower me to be able to defeat the enemy before me in Jesus mighty name. Amen🤲*

*TOPIC: 👉🏾 DOUBLE PORTION OF POWER.*

*(👉🏾 ÌSÉPO MÉJÌ AGBÁRA )*

*1ST LESSON: 👇 Il KINGS 2:1-15*

*2ND LESSON: 👇 ACTS 1:1-11*

*HIGHLIGHTS.*
In line with Israelite's custom, double portion of inheritance belongs to the First-born son. *Deut. 21:15-17.*

Since every believers is the first-born of God through Christ, we have the right to the double portion of our Father's inheritance. *Rom 8:17. Gal 3:29.*

Spiritual power is one of the inheritance that Christ left behind for the believers and the church at large. *Acts 1:5 &8, John 14:15-17.*

No believer or church can function as designed by God outside spiritual power. *Acts 2:17.*

Words of salvation, liberation and deliverance can only go out from the mouth of God's messengers through this power. *Luke 4:18-19* compared with *Mark 16:17-18.*

Genuine miracles, signs and wonders can only happen through this power. *Acts 10:38* compared with *Acts 8:5-8.*

Our Father owns all power both in heaven and earth. In fact, alI power belongs to Him. *Matt 28:18, Ps. 62:11.*

And Jesus want us to do greater exploits than He did. *Acts 14:3* particularly *John 14:12.*

Therefore, every believer needs double portion of the Spirit and power of Christ for us (believers) to meet up with our responsibilities in today's world.

Please note that Joshua received greater power to continue where Moses stopped. *Deut. 34:9*

Elisha asked for double portion of Elijah's spirit to succeed him, *Il Kings 2:9-10*

The Apostles received greater power on the day of Pentecost. *Act 2:1-4.*

That power is still available to all believers today even in double portion if only we can pay the price. *Acts 2:16-21.*

*PRICE FOR DOUBLE PORTION OF SPIRITUAL POWER*
a) Accept Jesus and allow Holy Spirit the Owner and custodian of spiritual power to dwell in you. *John 1:12, Act 1:8.*

b) Perfect submission and total obedience to the Master's instructions. The disciples were to stay in Jerusalem until they received power as promised. *Luke 24:49.*

c) Ask for double portion. Those who ask must receive. *Il Kings 2:9-10, Acts 2:1.*

d) Determination and perseverance are needed. *Il Kings 2:1-8, Acts 1:12-14.*

e) Study the word and always go to where the word is rightly divided in truth and power. *Acts 10:44* compared *Heb. 4:12.*

f) Don't be ashamed to preach the gospel. *Rom 1:16, Isa. 61:1-2.*

g) Put the power to use through evangelism. *Mark 16:15-20.*

h) Serve with humility and loyalty. Joshua was Moses's aid, Elisha was Elijah's servant and the apostles followed Christ whole-heartedly.

Who is your mentor? Who is your spiritual
father?

Are you loyal to them? *II King 3:11-12, Ex.24:13, Josh 1:1.*

*PRAYER 🛐:*
*🗣️ Lord Jesus, give me double portion of power today so that I can do exploit for you. Amen🤲*

*TOPIC: 👉🏾 DEPART FROM OLD THINGS*

👉🏾 *E YE'RA FÚN OHUN ÀTIJÓ*

*1ST LESSON: 👇 ISAIAH 43:14-21*

*2ND LESSON: 👇 II Corinthians 5:11-21*

*HIGHLIGHTS*
Christianity is all about spiritual transformation from old to new nature. *1 Pet. 2:9* compared with *Col. 1:13.*

This spiritual transformation should be evident in our lives physically, maritally, financially, morally, academically, politically etc. *Acts 4:13.*

No one can claim to be with Christ and still exhibit the old nature.

Simply because old things are dead and buried with Christ. *II Cor.5:17.*

These old things are old thoughts, old values, old believes and old ways of life that the old man always manifest. *Col. 3:5-10.*

They are simply works of the flesh as listed in *Gal.5:19-21*

The major reason many Christians are not experiencing new things as promised by God is because they refuse to let go of old things. *Isah.43:19-20*

Many are still dwelling in their past which is rubbing them of their glorious future in Christ.

Old things remain great threats to our Christian journey.
If not get rid of, they are capable of sending man to eternal death. *Gal. 5:19-21*

How to get rid of old things
- Accept the new man (Jesus Christ). Put on Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh. *II Cor. 5:17, Rom 13:14,8:1-8.*

- Allow Holy Spirit to be in charge of your life.
As a believer, you don't own your life any longer.
Surrender to the Holy Spirit for guidance.
*Rom 8:9 &14.*

- Allow old things to pass away. Stop looking back and stop remembering those old stuffs. *Isah. 43:18* compared with *ll Cor. 5:17.*

- Ask for new heart to embrace new things. Old heart cannot manifest new things (fruits of the Spirit). *Psa 51:10.*

- Always meditate on the Word regularly.

The word of God is very potent in purging our heart from old things. *John 17:17* compared with *Psa. 1:1-3.*

*PRAYER🛐:*
*🗣️ Lord, purge my heart of old things and renew my heart in Jesus mighty name. Amen🙏*

*SUNDAY 2ND NOVEMBER, 2025*

*TOPIC:👇FORBEARING.WITH ONE ANOTHER*

*(👉🏾 E MĀA FI ARA DÀ FÚN ARA YÍN)*

*1ST LESSON: 👇PSALMS 37:1-8*

*2ND LESSON: 👇EPHESIANS 2:1-15*

*HIGHLIGHTS.*
As human beings with our gregarious instinct, as long as we live, relate and mingle together, we will always have occasions to take exception to the actions and inactions of people around us either directly or indirectly.

That is the reason Bro. Paul in his letters to the churches harps on forbearance, self-control, restraints and anger management. *Eph. 4:1-3* compared with *Psalm. 37:8.*

He even admonished us to disagree with ourselves if need be, but never to allow it degenerate into anger, rancour and acrimonies.
*Eph. 4:26.*

We may have disagreements on issues, and may be, disputes but all these must be well managed and never allowed to degenerate into conflicts.

Jesus Christ thought us to learn to forgive those who trespassed against us. *Luke 17:1-5.*

Meanwhile, anger is the emotional expression of our displeasure and disapproval of something or someone's actions and inactions.

However, in most cases, anger is an emotional feeling about issues and not necessarily about what really happened. *1 Kings 21:1-5.*

In fact, people can be angry for wrong reasons.

People often get angry for being advised rightly or being corrected.

Please note that there are open anger and secret anger; passive anger and active anger.

Anger is a reflection of our emotional, mental, social and spiritual growth and development. *1 Cor. 3:1-5.*

In every matter, we can choose either to be angry or to keep our cool and calm down. *Psa. 37:8.*

Meanwhile knowing the best and proper way of channeling our grievances is the core thing in anger management.

However, anger management entails lots of discipline.

Our level of emotional, mental, social and spiritual growth and development will tell in the way we control our anger.

Please note that whatever we refuse to endure or accept that might have led to anger, we shall be bound or persuaded to endure and accept them and even more, after the effects of our uncontrolled anger.

*NOTE:*
Let the preacher explain the last paragraph in details with ample examples from the Bible and our present world.

*PRAYER 🛐:*
*🗣️ Our gracious Lord, grant us the spirit of forbearance today in Jesus mighty name. Amen🙏*.

*(AGBO'LÉ OLÓRUN)*

*1ST LESSON: 👇 JOSHUA 24:19-28*

*2ND LESSON: 👇EPHESIANS 2:8-22*

*HIGHLIGHTS*
The church is meant to run as a family. In fact, it is made up of the household of God. *Rom.16:10, Gal. 6:10, Eph. 2:9, Phil. 4:22 and Il Tim. 4:19.*

It is based on brotherhood and fraternity where we are all concerned about the good of all. *Acts 4:33-35* compared with *Acts 12:5-9.*

The welfare of the other fellow is put above self. *Acts 6:1-7.*

*Factors that enhances family's bond*.

a. *Unconditional love.* Each member is loved for who she/he is.
He/she is rather encouraged and empowered to be better without being criticized, judged or condemned. *Rom. 5:8, 9:25* compared with *Rom. 12:9.*

b. *The interest of the family members* comes first and is paramount above every other things. *1 Çor. 9:20-22* compared with *Matt. 25:34-41 and 1 Tim. 5:8* particularly *Il Cor. 11:25-28*

c. *We must be ready to rise up* to defend the name and integrity of our family against any external aggression (i.e. we must be ready and willing to defend the name of the leadership and members of our church against any external aggression because of our corporate image).

Even if we have issues, it must be settled only thereafter. *1 Pet. 3:1-2 compared with 1Cor.5:1-2 and Ps. 41:6-10.*

d. *We must keep our family's secret secret. Ps. 4:6.*

e. *Rational empathy/forbearance. Rom. 12:10.*

f. *Spiritual maturity of family members. 1 Cor. 3:1-3.*

g. *Regular fellowship of the word, prayers and worship. 1John1:3 &7 and Heb. 10:25*.

*NOTE:*
Let the preacher encourage the congregation to promote Iove, unity and brotherliness among the worshippers and close the sermon.

*PRAYER 🛐:*

*LECTIONARY MANUAL*
FROM THE SPIRITUAL FATHER'S DESK.

*WEEK 23*
*SUNDAY 18TH JUNE, 2025*

*TOPIC: 👉🏾 POWER*
*(👉🏾 AGBÁRA)*

*1ST LESSON: 👇 GENESIS 27:34-40*

*2ND LESSON: 👇 MARK 16:15-20*

*HIGHLIGHTS*
The essence of power is for one to take advantages of one's situation and circumstances.

But more often, people with power do take undue advantage of the powerless -physically, financially, spiritually, politically etc. *Eccl. 4:1 and Judges 5:1-6.*

Most time, the powerful do oppressed the powerless. *Job 20:19.*

The irony of it is that, it is senseless to appease or negotiate with people that are power-drunk.

The only solution in power-tussle is power versus power; more and more power again and again. *Eph.6:10-12.*

To free yourself from the bo***ge of a powerful person is to acquire enough power to fight for your freedom - physically, mentally,
financially, maritally, politically etc. negotiation, appeasement, pleading etc. is out of it. *Matt. 12:29.*

See the Jacob and Esau's example. *Gen. 27:35-40.*

Consequently, no man should desire any treasure above POWER.

The gospel is very powerful. And those who have proper understanding of the power of the gospel can operate therein profitably. *Mark 16:15-20*
compared with *Acts 3:1-6.*

Meanwhile, for the gospel to be truly powerful in our lives and situations, it must be personalized with the testimonies of what the power has done being appropriated into our lives and destinies. *Acts 8:5-8.*

However, your relationship with the gospel gives you kind of revelations that might never been told by any of your parent/prophet/pastor and other clergy men and women, which also guarantees your access to the power of the gospel.

When the gospel lacks power, it is never better than human philosophy and psychology. *1 Cor. 4:20.*

The gospel is the acid test of your integrity both by God and people around you simply because it will reveal your true identity - physically,
