*Struggling to Stop Watching Po*******hy? Here’s a Starting Point 👊*
If you’re a Christian fighting this battle, you’re not alone — and you’re not disqualified. Freedom is possible. Here’s what helps:
*1. Remember Who You Are*
You’re not fighting _for_ victory, you’re fighting _from_ it. In Christ, you’re forgiven, loved, and being made new. Shame pushes you to hide. Grace pulls you back to fight.
_“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1_
*2. Cut Off the Easy Access*
Jesus said it’s better to remove the thing causing you to fall than to keep losing the battle. Be radical with this.
- Put filters on your devices
- No phone in private spaces
- Delete apps/websites that trigger you
*3. Replace, Don’t Just Resist*
You can’t just “stop thinking about it.” You need something else to think about.
Have a verse, worship song, or prayer ready. The moment temptation hits, switch to it.
_“Set your minds on things that are above.” Colossians 3:2_
*4. Bring It Into the Light*
Secrecy gives this sin power. Find 1 trusted believer you can be honest with. Confess, pray together, and check in weekly.
_“Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” James 5:16_
*5. Ask “What Do I Actually Need?”*
Often we turn to p**n for stress, loneliness, or boredom. Meet that need directly — talk to God, call a friend, go for a walk, sleep.
*If You Slip Up:*
Don’t quit. Confess it to God right away, tell your accountability person, and reset. _“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.” 1 John 1:9_
Freedom is a journey, not a one-day fix. Take it one day, one moment at a time. God’s grace is bigger than your struggle.
