A HISTORIC MILESTONE: FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR NUNG UDOE DISTRICT PERMANENT CHURCH BUILDING
28th August 2026 will remain a remarkable and historic date in the annals of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Nung Udoe District, as the long-awaited foundation stone for the District’s Permanent Church Building was officially laid.
The historic ceremony was performed by Apostle G. U. Akpakpan, Pioneer Field Superintendent, The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ikono Field, marking a significant step forward in the growth, development, and spiritual advancement of the Nung Udoe District.
The foundation-laying ceremony stood as a powerful testimony to the faithfulness of God and a fulfilment of the words of our Lord Jesus Christ: “I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
The memorable occasion was graced by distinguished ministers and church leaders, including Apostle O. A. Inuaeyen, Ikono Field Deputy Superintendent; Apostle U. B. Asuquo, Ikono Field Assistant Secretary; Apostle P. O. Udo, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo Area Superintendent; Pastor E. A. Essien, Council Prophet; and Pastor Ndorenyin Udofia, Nung Udoe District Pastor, alongside Elders, Deacons, Deaconesses, members, friends, and well-wishers of the church.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, thanksgiving, worship, and deep appreciation to God for His unfailing faithfulness and provision. For the Nung Udoe District, the foundation stone represents far more than the commencement of a physical structure; it is a symbol of vision, unity, sacrifice, commitment, and confidence in God's continued leading.
The occasion also provided an opportunity for members to renew their commitment to the work of God and to unite in supporting the successful completion of the Permanent Church Building. The project is envisioned as a lasting spiritual heritage that will provide a conducive place of worship, fellowship, evangelism, and service to God for both present and future generations.
For Nung Udoe District, this is indeed a new chapter—a chapter of growth, expansion, greater commitment, and divine advancement.
Indeed, the Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.
