EPISCOPAL TOUR OF CATHEDRAL AND ETUNG ARCHDEACONRIES BY BISHOP MICHSON OF IKOM DIOCESE CONCLUDED WITH A PREFERMENT AND CREATION OF NEW ARCHDEACONRY.

The Bishop of Ikom Missionary Diocese, Rt. Revd David Michson has concluded his tour of the entire Ikom Diocese with his recent visit to the churches in the Cathedral Archdeaconry and those of Etung Missionary Archdeaconry on the 22nd of January, 2022.

1. Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, Ikom
2. St. Jude's Eromi
3. Ebenezer Church Agbokim- Karabout
4. Christ Church Abia
5. Good Shepherd Okuni
6. St. Philip's Ikom Town
7. St. John the Baptist, Ratumankon
8. St. Timothy, Otere
9. Bethel Anglican Church, Okonde.

The churches were overjoyed to receive His Lordship and his entourage at their different peculiar locations, some hilly and some muddy areas, some only passable on foot by crossing water logged roads. The Bishop also fulfilled and ministered to all with special prayers and encouragements.

PREFERMENT AND CREATION OF ADDITIONAL ARCHDEACONRY
The Bishop was indeed very satisfied with the level of commitments and developments at St. John the Baptist Ratumankon. He seized the opportunity to declare and create BORDER ROAD ARCHDEACONRY out of the Cathedral Archdeaconry. St. John the Baptist Ratumankon becomes the Headquarters Church among all the churches along that Cameroon Border Road. The Vicar, Canon Godwin Bessong was there and then preferred an Archdeacon for the new BORDER ROAD ARCHDEACONRY.

MORE EPISCOPAL PRONOUNCEMENT IN PREFERMENT AND CREATION OF NEW ARCHDEACONRIES IN IKOM DIOCESE

Revd Somadina Samson Ekweruka preferred an Honourary Canon. Behold the newest Canon being Congratulated by the Chairman of Clergy Association, the Ven. Clifford Chukwuedo.

Let's rejoice with our father in God, Revd Bestman Okafor now the latest Canon and the first to be preferred in the Diocese of Ikom since Inauguration last December. The Bishop of Ikom Missionary Diocese, His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson preferred him an Honourary Canon today 16th January, 2026. This was occasioned by the punctuality of the priest which the Bishop said was exceptionally good, having met him in church as early as 5.am during the hour of prayer at the ongoing Clergy and Wives Retreat. Congratulations to Revd Canon Bestman and Mrs Ijeoma Okafor.

Clergy and Workers with Wives Retreat ongoing in Diocese of Ikom Anglican Communion. His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Michson takes his Pastoral Team to a Prayer Retreat to mark the tagged THE POWER OF ALTARS Judges 6:23-28. Evil Altars must be pulled down and God's Altar rebuilt for total healing, deliverance and fruitfulness to take place.

The Bishop took time to educate the Pastoral Team and their wives the spiritual significance of the evil altars that have been ignored without total deliverance from them. All were alerted to be spiritually awake and build the Altar of God after throwing down the ancient family altars.

Episcopal Tour of His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson of the Missionary Diocese of Ikom continues at BENDEGHE DISTRICT OF IKOM ARCHDEACONRY on the 13th day of January, 2026.

The following churches were visited:

2. New Life Bendeghe
3. St. Peter's Ochor
4. St. Philip's Ekimkae
5. Our Saviour's Biajua
6. Epiphany Church Abo.

The Archdeacon of Ikom, Venerable Shedrach Esinmekara joined the District Head of Bendeghe, Revd Augustine Maduka to guide the tour round the churches. It was indeed a wonderful time to explore that part of the Diocese seeing all the churches in their different levels of developments. Glory be to God Almighty, Amen.

OBUBRA MISSIONARY ARCHDEACONRY RECEIVES THE BISHOP OF IKOM ON EPISCOPAL TOUR 12TH OF JANUARY 2026.

The Episcopal Visit of His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. David E. Michson and Mama Ikom, Mrs. Angela David Michson to Obubra Missionary Archdeaconry was successful.
The Archdeacon of Obubra, Ven. Clifford Chukwuedo and his wife were on ground to guide the tour. The Bishop was happy meeting them on his maiden visit of the area. He encouraged them and at the same time had some interactive moments with them. The Pastors and members of Obubra Archdeaconry were overjoyed receiving the August visitors. To God alone be all the glory, Amen.

The Episcopal Tour of Ikom Missionary Diocese continued at Yakurr Archdeaconry on the 3rd of January, 2026. Beginning at St. Paul's Anglican Church Ugep the Headquarters of Yakurr Archdeaconry then to other churches.
It was indeed a wonderful fellowship experience as His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson and his wife Mama Ikom took to engage the congregations in interactive sessions to know more about the churches. The Administrator of the Archdeaconry, Canon Emerionwu Sunday Joel took the Bishop's entourage round the churches:
