Foundation Laying Ceremony for a Storey Building to accommodate Lock-Up Shops and Corpers' Lodge at Anglican Church of the Pentecost, Ikom.

The Bishop of Missionary Diocese of Ikom (Anglican Communion) Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson PhD has officiated the Turning of Sod of the above Building on the 20th of June, 2026. The service was hosted by the Vicar of the Anglican Church of the Pentecost and Administrator of Ikom Archdeaconry, Canon Somadina Ekweruka. Congratulations!

The Bishop of Ikom Missionary Diocese Inaugurates Ikom Archdeaconry as the 4th of the newly created Archdeaconries.

His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson, Ph'D has presided over an Episcopal Service of Inauguration of Ikom Archdeaconry on Pentecost Sunday 24th May, 2026. The Service which was held at the ANGLICAN CHURCH OF THE PENTECOST, Ikom also featured Confirmation of Candidates, Admission/ Induction of Women's Guild, Mothers' Union and Girls Guild and Christian Men Fellowship CMF.

It was indeed a great occasion with multiple celebrations including the cutting of the Inauguration Cake at the headquarters - ANGLICAN CHURCH OF THE PENTECOST. The Vicar and Supervising Priest, Revd Canon and Mrs Samson Ekweruka were glad to have the Bishop and his wife Mrs Angela Michson join them in the cutting of the Anniversary Cake.

To God Almighty alone be all the glory, Amen.

Yakurr Archdeaconry hosts The Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Ikom, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson PhD and his wife Mama Ikom Mrs Angela Michson for the Service of Confirmation, Admissions and Inductions.

To the glory of God, the service was held at St. Paul's Anglican Church Ugep, the Headquarters of Yakurr Archdeaconry on Sunday 17th May 2026. The Supervising Priest of the Archdeaconry is Revd Canon Joel Sunday Emerionwu who with his wife Mrs Esther Emerionwu are doing great work as Vicar and also Supervising the entire LGA as an Archdeaconry. The congregation was full of joy as many candidates were confirmed, Girls Guild new members were admitted, likewise the Mothers' Union and Women's Guild, men also were not left behind as a good number of them were inducted into the Diocesan CMF. The Bishop prayed for them to keep growing and conquering more fallow grounds in Evangelism and Investments, development of more structures. Amen.

One of the highlights of the occasion was the courtesy call at the Palace of His Royal Majesty, Obol Lopon of Ugep and Paramount Ruler of Yakurr LGA. During which the Bishop, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson PhD made a historic preferment of Revd Charles Omini Arikpo as a Canon at the Palace of the King. Canon Charles is the first indigenous clergyman from Ugep.
The Paramount Ruler was full of thanks for the Bishop for this blessing of preferment on their own son thereby establishing the Anglican Presence fully in Ugep Town and the Place in particular. It is noteworthy that Canon Charles Arikpo, a retired Soldier of the Nigerian Army is member of the King's Advisory Council. We rejoice with the Canon and his family. And we thank His Lordship for his magnanimity.

Glory be to God, Missionary Diocese of Ikom is on the move again as the Bishop Inaugurated OBUBRA NORTH MISSIONARY ARCHDEACONRY as the 3rd of the 5 newly created Missionary Archdeaconries.

It was all a joyful and happy moment in entire Ogada land and beyond as they played host to the Service of Inauguration of OBUBRA NORTH MISSIONARY ARCHDEACONRY on Sunday the 10th of May, 2026 as His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson, Ph'D, with his dear wife, Mrs Angela David Michson, Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Ikom officially did the Inauguration having been carved out of the old OBUBRA ARCHDEACONRY.
Congratulations to the congregations of OBUBRA NORTH MISSIONARY ARCHDEACONRY under the visionary leadership of Venerable and Mrs Nnadozie Ejikeme Osuji. The service which was held at Christ the King Anglican Church, Ogada2 also featured the Confirmation of Candidates and Inductions/Admissions into Mothers' Union, Women's Guild, Girls Guild and CMF.

The Bishop admonished the Clergy and members of the new Archdeaconry to work as a Team to achieve Greater Success together. He prayed that God will give them all they require to grow together and win more souls for the Kingdom of God. Glory be to God in the Highest Amen.

First Episcopal Service in St. Barnabas Ediba under the newly created Missionary Diocese of Ikom held on 3rd May, 2026.

It was a moment of joy and high expectations for Congregations of Abi Archdeaconry with Headquarters at St. Barnabas Anglican Church Ediba as the Pioneer Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Ikom, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson, PhD, arrived and presided over the Service of Confirmation and Admissions / Inductions into Women's Guild, Mothers Union and Girls Guild. On the said day, Sunday the 3rd of May, 2026, the weather was very clement and the church was packed full with members from churches of Abi Archdeaconry. The Bishop taking the Sermon, challenged all members to stand for Jesus alone and not to be hypocritical. Worshipping God and visiting traditional shrines at the same time is both evil and a state of confusion, he maintained that only Jesus Christ can save.

At the end, new members were confirmed and others admitted into their various groups. The Service was concluded with the consecration and distribution of the Holy Eucharist. The newly confirmed took their first Holy Communion same Day.

His Lordship also took time to inspect the renovations going on at the Parsonage which has resulted in having two different flats and a detached self contained room to accommodate more workers and staff in the Parish. He commended the church for such innovations also in building a gallery church still under construction. He prayed that God Almighty will see them through in all the ongoing projects. Glory be to God in the Highest Amen.

All Glory be to God in the Highest Amen. We rejoice with Boki Missionary Archdeaconry as they were officially Inaugurated on the 19th of April, 2026.

His Lordship, the Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson and his beloved wife, Mrs Angela Michson arrived the Town of Bashua for the Inauguration of the newly created Boki Missionary Archdeaconry. The occasion was full of pomp and pageantry as Revd Canon Augustine and Mrs Loveth Maduka, Supervising Priest of the Archdeaconry joyfully received the Bishop and his entourage with the standby Boys Brigade Company that mounted guard of Honour and a Parade for His Lordship. Boki Missionary Archdeaconry was officially Inaugurated as the 2nd among the 5 newly created Archdeaconries in the Diocese of Ikom. Etung Missionary Archdeaconry under the leadership of Venerable and Mrs Cletus Elekwachi had earlier been Inaugurated as the 1st among the five on the 29th of March, 2026.

The service also featured the Confirmation of Candidates, Enrollment of women into Mother's Union and Women's Guild. The men were also admitted into Christian Men Fellowship (CMF).

Diocesan Service of Maundy Thursday at Ikom. His Lordship, Rt. Revd David Ekwok Michson dramatized the Holy Scriptures of Washing of feet of the Priests and Congratulation assisted by some Senior Priests as Commanded and exemplified by Christ Himself. The Eucharistic Service also featured the Blessing of Oil (the Chrism). The Ante Communion was handled by Ven ThankGod Ogujiuba JP while the Sermon was preached by Revd Canon Andrew Ubi Okoi on Humility in Service. Venue for the Diocesan Service was the Anglican Church of the Pentecost Ikom being the headquarters of the new Ikom Archdeaconry under the Supervising Priest in charge, Revd Canon Somdina Samson Ekweruka.

EPISCOPAL TOUR OF CATHEDRAL AND ETUNG ARCHDEACONRIES BY BISHOP MICHSON OF IKOM DIOCESE CONCLUDED WITH A PREFERMENT AND CREATION OF NEW ARCHDEACONRY.

The Bishop of Ikom Missionary Diocese, Rt. Revd David Michson has concluded his tour of the entire Ikom Diocese with his recent visit to the churches in the Cathedral Archdeaconry and those of Etung Missionary Archdeaconry on the 22nd of January, 2022.

1. Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, Ikom
2. St. Jude's Eromi
3. Ebenezer Church Agbokim- Karabout
4. Christ Church Abia
5. Good Shepherd Okuni
6. St. Philip's Ikom Town
7. St. John the Baptist, Ratumankon
8. St. Timothy, Otere
9. Bethel Anglican Church, Okonde.

The churches were overjoyed to receive His Lordship and his entourage at their different peculiar locations, some hilly and some muddy areas, some only passable on foot by crossing water logged roads. The Bishop also fulfilled and ministered to all with special prayers and encouragements.

PREFERMENT AND CREATION OF ADDITIONAL ARCHDEACONRY
The Bishop was indeed very satisfied with the level of commitments and developments at St. John the Baptist Ratumankon. He seized the opportunity to declare and create BORDER ROAD ARCHDEACONRY out of the Cathedral Archdeaconry. St. John the Baptist Ratumankon becomes the Headquarters Church among all the churches along that Cameroon Border Road. The Vicar, Canon Godwin Bessong was there and then preferred an Archdeacon for the new BORDER ROAD ARCHDEACONRY.
