The Toughest Part

The Lawn Tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, once spoke about the toughest part of his career journey. Shortly after winning his first Grand Slam, he was diagnosed with a rare, incurable, degenerative foot condition and was told he might never compete again. Yet, despite prolonged difficulties, he stood his ground and went on to build a legendary career.

The toughest part of Jesus’ journey on earth was enduring the shame and pain of the crucifixion. Jesus knew how difficult it would be, and at a point He desired another way, yet He submitted Himself to the will of the Father, knowing the glorious victory ahead (Luke 22:42). Jesus stood His ground against the devil, endured the waiting season, and obtained everlasting victory, not just for Himself, but for everyone who believes in Him.

Sometimes you may look up to God and it seems like He has gone silent. You begin to feel like your faith is weak or not working. You become weary in prayer because you have stayed on the same matter for so long without visible results or encouragement.

Stand your ground against the enemy. Stand your ground in the Lord. Do not give up.

Jesus is living in you. If you go down, He goes down with you. But we know Jesus can never go down. Hold on to Jesus as you hold on to yourself and wait it out. Standing your ground may be the toughest part, but you will overcome and you shall be crowned with victory. In Jesus Name Amen.

The God of This World

Yes, there is a god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4), but he is not your God. Therefore, believers are not subject to his rule. The covenant we have with the God of Heaven is greater than the authority of the god of this world. While the god of this world may dominate the lives of those who are far from God, he cannot exercise authority over your life as a covenant child of God. He is the enemy of the believer, but the Lord has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19 EASY).

The Lord has made you victorious in Christ. Satan, the god of this world, is not the god of your life. He is not the god of your future or your destiny. He does not control your joy, your goals, or your aspirations. The God of Heaven alone reigns supreme over every area of your life, and He has given you dominion through Christ. For the one who believes, all things are possible.

You are in this world, but you are not of this world. Satan may influence the cultures, philosophies, and systems of this age, but you, as a believer, have the power to influence lives and transform environments one person at a time, one community at a time, one society at a time. Through Christ, you have been empowered to live differently and to make a difference. The god of this world cannot stop what God has ordained for your life. Hallelujah!

The Mother-Might

A mother’s faith, trust, and strength can never be underestimated. When others may lose faith in their children, mothers often stand firm in love, protection, belief, and hope. The Shunammite woman showed remarkable faith when she sought Prophet Elisha concerning her dead son (2 Kings 4:20-35).

Moses’ mother, Jochebed, went above and beyond to protect her baby from Pharaoh’s decree of infanticide. Timothy’s mother and grandmother nurtured and mentored him into becoming an outstanding servant of God and of the Gospel of Christ. The influence of his grandmother’s faith reached beyond one generation and touched another (2 Timothy 1:5).

Today, we once again acknowledge the Mother-Might, the great influence of our mothers and every mother figure in our lives. We celebrate their resilience, faith, trust, mentorship, care, and protection. Their steadfast commitment toward the well-being of their loved ones will not go unrewarded. They will not faint but will grow stronger in the Lord. Their personal desires shall be fulfilled.

Celebrate every mother in your life and let them know they are deeply appreciated. The Lord will fill the heart of every mother with the joy and celebration they desire. In Jesus Name. Amen.

You Are The Solution

You should never write yourself off in any situation where it seems like you do not have what is required to be part of the solution or even the solution itself. This is the time for you to demonstrate the God-kind of faith you have through Christ.

You never truly know what you carry until you take a bold step to believe God for the impossible. Moses did not know what was in him. Gideon did not know what was in him. The seventy disciples did not know what was in them until they stepped out by faith and returned with great results (Luke 10:17-18).

You were born to reign. You were born to win. God wants to reveal His greatness through you. You are not meant for self-pity. You are special and called to show how great God is. Count yourself among those who produce solutions.

Exercise your faith, and you will see the great outcomes that follow. Hallelujah!

Spiritual Realities

Reality can be defined as the actual state of things as they truly exist, not what you wish or imagine. This is true of our spiritual realities. They are not aspirations. They are the true state of our position in Christ with God. We are not trying to become them. They are what and who we are.

Spiritual realities are eternal, while natural things are temporary (2 Corinthians 4:16). These temporary things include every form of hardship. Set your focus on spiritual realities above any temporary challenge. As you do, you will find yourself living above the times and making the best of your life.

What are some of your spiritual realities? I have victory in Christ. I am a covenant child of God. I am more than a conqueror. Being redeemed by Christ, I inherit the blessings pronounced on Abraham.

I have right standing with God, so He takes care of all my needs. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus, so no sickness or disease can oppress me.

Having inherited all these realities and more, no temporary hardship can become permanent in your life. Stand firm on your spiritual realities, and you will stand tall in every storm. In Jesus Name Amen.

A Table In A Dry Land

A wilderness is a place that does not provide the things people desire. It symbolizes an unproductive space or situation, dryness, unfruitfulness, inactivity, and no progress. That wilderness can show up in any area of life. Marital or financial issues, health concerns, career or business struggles. Like the wilderness of the Israelites, where needs were not being met.

You can imagine why the Israelites spoke against God while passing through the wilderness: “God can’t give us food in the wilderness” (Ps 78:19 NLT). They looked at their situation and lost hope in God. They chose not to remember all the miracles He had done before. They refused to hold on to His word and allowed their emotions to take over.

When emotions take over, perspective is lost. Your situation may be throwing all kinds of challenges at you, stirring doubts about God’s promises. That is not a place you want to stay. Do not become so overwhelmed by what your environment is presenting that you can no longer see or sense God clearly.

God will prepare a table for you in any wilderness or desert. He is the Almighty God, the All-Sufficient God, the One who is more than enough. Never lose hope in Him. Keep obeying His word and remember the blessings you have already received. Walk with the Lord wholeheartedly, and you will see Him provide for you even in a dry land. In Jesus Name, Amen
