Becoming Palm Rich: Engaging Sustainable Wealth Creation with AssetRise Limited Part 3
hashtag hashtag hashtag

Palm trees are considered a valuable investment due to their numerous by-products and ability to thrive in tropical and subtropical climates. A closer look at why palm trees are seen as investment treasures and the range of products they produce reveal the following:

1. Diverse Product Range:
Coconut: The coconut palm is a key asset, providing coconuts that yield coconut water, coconut oil, and coconut meat.
Oil Palm: Oil palms produce palm oil, which is used in a wide variety of food products, cosmetics, and industrial applications.
2. High Yield:
Palm trees, particularly oil palms, are highly productive. An oil palm plantation can yield more oil per hectare compared to other vegetable oil sources, making it economically efficient.
3. Long Lifespan:
Palm trees, once mature, can continue to produce valuable products for many years. For example, oil palms can remain productive for up to 25 years.
4. Climate Resilience:
Palm trees are well-suited to tropical climates and can often grow in conditions where other crops might not thrive, making them a reliable agricultural asset.
5. Economic Impact:
The palm oil industry is a major economic driver in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, providing jobs and contributing to the economy.
By-products of Palm Trees
Coconut Palm By-products: Coconut Water: A popular, hydrating beverage.
Coconut Oil: Used in cooking, cosmetics, and health products.
Coconut Meat: Consumed fresh or dried, and used in cooking and baking.
Coconut Milk/Cream: Used in various culinary dishes and beverages.
Coir: The fibrous material from coconut husks, used in products like mats, brushes, and erosion control materials.

Date Palm By-products: Dates: Consumed fresh or dried, used in snacks, desserts, and energy bars.
Date Syrup: A natural sweetener made from dates.
Date Palm Leaves: Used for crafting and construction in some cultures.

Oil Palm By-products: Palm Oil: Widely used in food products, cooking oils, and industrial applications.
Palm Kernel Oil: Extracted from the seeds of the oil palm, used in food and non-food products.
Palm Kernel Cake: A by-product used as animal feed.
Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB): Used as a biomass fuel or compost.

Palm trees represent a significant investment opportunity due to their versatile by-products and high yield, but it's important to approach such investments with a focus on sustainability and market research. The Meeting

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD, 2021

John 9:30-31 & 33 “…Here is an astonishing thing! You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners, but he does listen to one who worships him and obeys his will… If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” (NRSV]

In Luke 10:40-42 [please read], we see the story of Mary and Martha; Martha was busy, distracted with so many things. But Mary sat at the feet of Jesus, and Martha complained, she wanted Jesus to tell her sister to join her in the kitchen instead of just sitting and enjoying fellowship with Jesus. And Jesus said a profound thing in Luke 10:41-42 “And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (NKJV]. People can take away anything from you but your encounter with Jesus is untouchable. No one can take it away from you, not even a bickering sister. It is not going to happen.

No theology can explain away the miracles of God. No theology can explain away your encounter with Jesus. I have friends that think I am crazy; friends that think I am wasting away being a Pastor. ‘A Pastor? But you can do many things for yourself and for your country’. I say to them, “The best thing I can do is what I am doing.” You cannot confuse me about my Jesus; I am the one eating the orange, you cannot tell me how it tastes. But, you, taste and see that the Lord is good. John 9:25 “He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” (KJV]. John 9:26-27 “But what did he do?” they asked. “How did he heal you?” “Look!” the man exclaimed. “I told you once. Didn’t you listen? Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?” Don't you just love this man? When people encounter God by themselves, they do not fit into any religious mould. When people encounter God by themselves, no one can bamboozle them. This man was talking to the Pharisees; nobody talks to them like this, apart from somebody that has met with Jesus. God wants every one of us to encounter Him genuinely, it changes everything – every single thing!

John 9:28-30 “Then they cursed him and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses! We know God spoke to Moses, but we don’t even know where this man comes from.” “Why, that’s very strange!” the man replied. “He healed my eyes, and yet you don’t know where he comes from?” It is very strange because in John 7 when Nicodemus asked them if they were going to convict a man without a fair hearing. And they said to Nicodemus, ‘Are you also from Galilee?’ [John 7:50-55, please read]. Which means they knew exactly where Jesus came from, they had done their research. But they are always talking from two sides of their mouth. When the chips are down, they will claim not to know where Jesus is from. That is from a social standpoint but from a theological standpoint, please read John 9:30-34. From a theological standpoint, we know He is from God, from a social and civil standpoint we know He is from Galilee, and from a theological and spiritual standpoint we also know He came from God.

Prayer: Father, I ask for a fresh encounter with Jesus daily, in Jesus Name. Amen!

GOOD SHEPHERD

MONDAY AUGUST 16, 2021

Isa.40:11 “He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart. He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.”

Being spiritual does not mean that you cannot get any value from earthly things. Jesus needed Philip’s local knowledge because they were in Philip’s hometown Bethsaida. Yesterday, we spoke briefly about a time when David also needed to rely on local intelligence even though God had given him a powerful Word, “Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail, recover all.” 1 Sam.30:8 (KJV]. David found a little Egyptian boy on the way; he needed that local knowledge to recover what God had told him he will recover. God sometimes hides answers to our prayers in somebody that is local. It is your responsibility to identify him or her by the Holy Spirit and get the information you need.

We must pay attention to intelligence and we must gather intelligence. We must ask questions of people that know the terrains more than us. Jesus was God but He still had to ask Phillip, “Where can we get bread?’ In other words, this is where you come from Phillip, so where can we get bread? If they were in Galilee, Jesus would not need to ask Phillip because He would know where to get bread. That is one of the reasons why Jesus had a team. Jesus was God, but He knew He could not achieve His destiny by Himself. Jesus needed a team. When they got to Bethsaida Phillip was relevant. When they get to Samaria, the woman by the well was relevant. She was part of Jesus’ team; she was the one that went to gather everybody. When they get to Jerusalem, James and John were relevant. None of us is as strong as all of us. None of us is as smart as all of us. None of us is as intelligent as all of us. If Jesus could rely on people, you need people.

John 6:7 “Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!” What was Jesus’ question? What was Phillip’s answer? Jesus asked, “Where can we find bread?” Like Phillip, has God asked you to do something that is “out of this world”? Something that made you wonder if such a thing were even possible? Jesus saw a multitude of people coming and He was asking Phillip where they could get bread to feed all the people. John 6:5 “…Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?” (emphasis added). Did Jesus ask these people to come? No. Was Jesus expecting them to come? No. But Jesus saw them coming and the first thing Jesus thought about was, where can we get food to feed all these people? What does that tell you about Jesus? Jesus is unbelievably caring.

In another account, one of the disciples proposed that the people go into the villages and find food for themselves. In other words, what is our business with that? We relate easily with Jesus as our King, but we do not relate easily with the kindness of Jesus. Jesus is not only King, Jesus is kind, kind-hearted. He did not have to worry about feeding these people. Shouldn’t they have taken care of their own feeding before coming to Jesus? But Jesus chose to play host to His guests.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are my Shepherd, guide me, and provide for me, in Jesus Name. Amen!

His Not Yours, II

THURSDAY AUGUST 12TH, 2021

John 5:20 “For the Father loves the Son, and tells him everything he is doing; and the Son will do far more awesome miracles than this man’s healing.” (TLB]

John 19:26 “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, “Woman, here is your son.” (NRSV, emphasis added). God commits His most precious things to people that are convinced about His love for them. As leaders, it is good to have people that love you, but trust more the people that are settled in your love for them. Be wary of the people that always doubt your love for them. Love them but when it is time to commit the most precious things you have, commit it to the people that have unwavering confidence that you love them, and you are committed to them one hundred percent (100%). Those are the people you can trust and that is what we see in John 19:26. All the other disciples were there, in different places, Jesus could see them but who did He call? I hope you are getting this.

John 20:1-4 “Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.” Then Peter and the other disciple set out and went toward the tomb. The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.” (NRSV, emphasis added).

John needed to write it in the Book so he outran Peter. However, if you look beyond the competitiveness of young John, even though he was an old man when he wrote the Book of John. John was probably younger than Peter, so he was more agile. However, beyond that, the truth is God’s love for you will make you run faster than your love for God. God’s love for you will make you last longer than your love for God.

John 21:20-22 “Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; he was the one who had reclined next to Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!” (NRSV, emphasis added). Your love for God will have him respond to you probably publicly. But those that are settled in their love for God, what is between them and the Lord is between them and the Lord. It is not anybody's business. When people go to God and ask how come she will get away with this? God will say, ‘how is that your business?’ Isn't that the place to be?
John 5:20 “For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing…” (emphasis added).

There are three words in scriptures that are translated as love – Agape, Phileo, and Eros. Agape is unconditional love. It does not matter what the other person does, you love unconditionally. Eros is romantic love between a man and a woman. Phileo however is a friendship kind of love, it is two-way. The word Jesus used here is not agape, it is phileo. Making it more difficult to embrace.

Prayer: Father, help me always operate from a place of Your love for me, in Jesus Name. Amen!

His Not Yours, I

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 11TH, 2021

John 5:20 “For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.” (emphasis added).

In today’s anchor scripture, we see Jesus boast in His Father's love for Him and that is big. “The Father loves the Son…”, just like a boy on the playground says, ‘my daddy loves me’. God's love for you is more important than your love for God. Your love for God is important and it is not either-or, the two have to be in place. Our love for God is important but God's love for us is more important. In fact, our love for God can only happen and flow from God's love for us. Any love that we have for God that does not flow from God's love for us, is totally meaningless. If you check David’s life, one of the things that set David apart is, David was so immersed in God's love for him. When you are immersed in God's love for you, your love for God will be evident.

God, Himself testifies about David that he is a man after God’s heart, this is a man that loves Me. But it could only happen because David was so into God’s love for him. One of the things I am grateful to God for is that I have a name that reminds me every day of God’s love for me. God loves me, that is my name. Honestly, I have never really struggled with God's love for me, not once. Maybe it can be traced to my name, but not once have I doubted God’s love for me. Even when I did not know God, I knew He was always going to show up and He always did. John is known as the Apostle of love. In fact, John refers to himself as the one whom Jesus loves. Throughout the Book of John, you would find that he refers to other people by their names. But when he gets to himself, he would say the one that Jesus loved. John was so intoxicated with Jesus’ love for him.

This is so important, stay with me. John 13:23-25 “One of his disciples—the one whom Jesus loved—was reclining next to him; Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask Jesus of whom he was speaking. So while reclining next to Jesus, he asked him, “Lord, who is it?” (NRSV, emphasis added). Even Peter could not ask that question; Peter is known for his love for God, John is known for God’s love for him. God's love for you will grant you access into places where your love for God will fail you. God's love for you will grant you access to recline on the chest of Jesus and ask questions about things to come. It is beautiful. The other disciples would be jealous, don't you think so? But John did not care about that; people that relish in God's love for them really don't care what everybody else thinks. Do not worry yourself about what every other person thinks. The love is available for everyone; take your own and do not worry about my own.

John 19:26-27 “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, “Woman, here is your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.” (NRSV, emphasis added). God commits the most precious things He has to people that are convinced about His love for them.

Prayer [song]: Your love is kind. Your love is patient. You fill my heart with so much peace and joy. You're amazing. You make my life feel brand new (2x). Jesus, You love me too… Amen!

Four of Four

TUESDAY 10TH AUGUST, 2021

John 5:45-47 “Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes. If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. But since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”

Yesterday we looked at the first two of the four-fold witness; Self-testimony and Testimony of Another. However, Jesus chose that these first two are insufficient simply since they are human testimony because He is superior. John 5:41 “Your approval means nothing to me.” I pray again for you that you will get to a place [even now], where the approval of men means nothing to you. When you get to that place, your life will be so beautiful. People can say what they want to say, it is what God says about you that matters.

John 5:44 “No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honour each other, but you don’t care about the honour that comes from the one who alone is God.” We should only care about honour from God not honour from men. When God honours you, men will have no choice. When a man honours you, a man can dishonour you. When a man lifts you up, a man can pull you down. When God lifts you up, no man can pull you down.

#3. God's Work Through Me [through Jesus]: John 5:36 “But I have a greater witness than John—my teachings and my miracles…”(emphasis added). Jesus was pointing out to them that the Word of God, He was speaking to them and the work that God was doing through Him were witnesses to them. John 5:36-37 “The Father gave me these works to accomplish, and they prove that he sent me. And the Father who sent me has testified about me himself…” So, Jesus can go to the tomb of Lazarus who had been dead for four days and had already begun to stink and everybody is crying. Jesus instructs them to roll away the stone and Jesus can confidently say, “Father, I know You hear me but because of them I am saying this, Lazarus come forth!” And he that was dead came back to life. Jesus could say that confidently because the Father confirms it.

John 5:43 “For I have come to you in my Father’s name, and you have rejected me. Yet if others come in their own name, you gladly welcome them.”
Jesus gave them the Self-testimony, the Testimony of another, and a witness of God's work through Him and they still did not accept. So, He gave them the fourth.
#4. The Scriptures: John 5:39-40 “You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.” Jesus was saying to them, ‘The scriptures you are reading, from Genesis to Malachi, point to Me.’ That is not just a huge claim, it is a bold claim also. Guess who Jesus’ audience was? The religious leaders, scholars of the Bible. John 5:46-47 “If you really believed Moses, you would believe me because he wrote about me. But since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?” Jesus reeled out the four-fold witness and these people still did not believe. Every time we do not believe God's Word, we must be careful that we are not becoming Pharisees.

Prayer [song]: I believe in Jesus. I believe He is the Son of God. I believe He died and rose again. I believe He paid for us all. I believe He's here now, standing in our midst… Amen!

The Son!

SATURDAY, 7TH AUGUST 2021

John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life” (emphasis added).

Jesus says, “those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins…” It is not that these people do not have sins, but Jesus says they will never be condemned for their sins. Why? It is because “they have already passed from death into life”. This scripture reference suggests that what you do does not matter, right? But Jesus says in John 5:28-29 “Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.” (emphasis added). Is Jesus saying this is salvation purely by works?

Jesus says, once you believe in Him you have been translated from death to life. Yet in the same chapter He says, some will rise to eternal condemnation because of their works and some will rise to eternal life because of their works. What does this mean? This scripture applies hundred percent (100%) to those before Jesus. There was no grace, so it had to be purely by works. For those of us after Jesus, what is the work of God that we have to do? The work that you and I have to do must flow from The Work. So, what is The Work? John 6:28-29 “Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (emphasis added). Jesus ties it back to believing in Him. When you believe in Jesus, everything you do flows from your faith in Christ Jesus. The source is your spring and the spring determines the stream, the flow, and the taste. Every work you do outside of Jesus is like filthy rags. No matter how good it is, it is going to be disgusting to God.

None can be pure by himself; the good works we do must flow from Christ before it is acceptable to God. The good works we do that do not flow from Christ are not acceptable to God. In the end, there will be two judgments; the eternal judgement and the white throne room judgement. The believer in Christ Jesus will not face judgement and by that, the scripture means the believer in Christ Jesus will not face eternal judgement. The believer in Christ will face the white throne room judgement. Which means that all your works will go through fire. For some, once their work enters fire, it will be consumed. Some people do not even have any work to put inside the fire. For some of us, our work will come out as gold, refined with fire in Jesus Name.

Jesus is above all, superior to all. Please John 5:21-23. There are two things the Rabbinic movement agrees on as far as God’s work is concerned. They agree that God is still judging, and God is still giving life. But God has stopped every other thing. Jesus says to them, I am in charge of that judgement and I am in charge of that life – unbelievable!

Prayer: Father, I affirm my belief in Christ Jesus, the Lamb of God, let all that I am and all that I do flow from my faith in Christ Jesus, in Jesus Name. Amen!
