Joshua 24:15; Psalm 127:1; Matthew 7:24–25

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15

A house can be built with money, education, achievement and human wisdom, but unless God is involved, the foundation is incomplete.

When God is at the centre:

* His Word becomes our standard.
* His will becomes our priority.
* His presence becomes our strength.
* His principles become our values.
* His love influences our relationships.

Anything built around God has a foundation that circumstances cannot easily destroy.

Every family must deliberately decide:

Who governs our home?

Who determines:

* Our values?
* Our priorities?
* Our relationships?
* Our finances?
* How we raise our children?
* How we resolve disagreements?
* How we respond to pressure?
* What we allow into our home?
* What kind of legacy we leave?

If you don’t intentionally establish your family’s values, culture and priorities, the world will establish them for you.

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
