THE PRAYER MINISTRY OF THE BELIEVER (PART 2).

Hebrews 13:1, 3 (AMPC)..... LET LOVE for your fellow believers continue and be a fixed practice with you [never let it fail].

[3] Remember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings.

Have you ever heard people arguing about the length of time the believers should spend in the place of prayers? Have you been around people who say things like, "I can't spend more than 30 minutes in prayer," or any believer spending less than 30 minutes in prayer is a lazy believer.

Someone even asked, What should we pray about because after 30 minutes, I am done with all there is in my heart? People like these don't know about the prayer ministry of the believer because if they do, they will know that they are laboring together with the Lord.

The Lord is working, and as long as he is working, we are working too. This is why the writer of the book of Hebrews is telling us to let brotherly love continue, and we are to remember those in prison as though we are the ones there.

This written here by the writer is one of the many prayer points we bring before the Lord. Selah.

Prayer:
I thank you Lord for finding me worthy to be numbered among the many believers who are trusting to labour with you in bringing your will on earth. Help us get it right. Amen.

THE PRAYER MINISTRY OF THE BELIEVER. (PART 1)

Acts 6:4 (KJV)..... But we will GIVE ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

There are churches where they have a group called 'The Prayer Warrior Group.' This group is for some selected people who joined to pray for others or the church. As beautiful as this may sound, I don't think it is right before the Lord.

You may ask, but why?

Because the subject of prayers is not supposed to be left for some selected folks, but it is supposed to be for all who call on the name of the Lord.

You and I are supposed to pray; we are not supposed to leave it for some people. You have a praying ministry as believers the day you gave your life to Christ, and you become a part of the church you joined in the ministry of prayer.

From our theme scripture, Peter the Apostle said, " But we will give ourselves to..."

I like the word 'GIVE.' It means you know what you are doing and you signed for it. It is a deliberate, intentional decision to be a part of something. You were not forced to do it or cajole into it, but you willingly GAVE yourself to do it.

This is why it is called 'the prayer ministry of the believer. 'Have you started praying already?

Prayer:
I am not a weak vessel. I give myself to prayer and I have been helped by the Lord to wait continually. Amen.

GO BEYOND THE VALIDATION OF MEN.

Luke 6:26 (MSG)...... “ there’s trouble ahead when you live only for the approval of others, saying what flatters them, doing what indulges them. Popularity contests are not truth contests—look how many scoundrel preachers were approved by your ancestors! Your task is to be true, not popular.

The word "validation" is defined as the process of confirming that something is true, correct, or officially acceptable. This is what many believers and, sadly, some leaders and preachers of my day live for.

We are living in a very unstable and funny times in human history. A time when what matters to many of us is the number of people following you or the likes and people who subscribe to your videos. For some, if they don't get as much as they wished for, they feel depressed and lose their joy.

When it comes to the preaching of the gospel and following God's will for your life, your own is to be true and not popular. Popularity contests are not truth contests. There is trouble ahead of you when you live only for the validation of approval of men.

Don’t let the validation of men make you feel accepted because it doesn't matter to God.
What matters to him is that YOU OBEY HIM. That you are dragged for saying something does not make what you said wrong, but you must be strong to finish well. Meditate on this.

Prayer:
Thank you father for this truth. I am comforted and my spirit is charged up to do more and win for Christ. Amen.

THE REBELLIOUS LEADER OR BELIEVER (PART 2)

Ezra 4:19 (KJV)..... And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.

Any leader who is not flexible might be suffering from a rebellious spirit. Rebellion is not just a system within a man; it is a spirit, and this spirit is older than man because it was what made Lucifer fight against God. Before he could do it openly, he must have carried it within him for years.

Rebellion is the reason you see wrong in every message taught by your head. Rebellion is the reason you don't want your head celebrated. Rebellion is the reason you are angry at his rising or at the mention of his name.

Rebellion is the reason you also want to have people who are also loyal to you and submissive to you. Rebellion is the reason you keep having dreams of different men and women of God anointing you and giving you a mic.

Rebellion is the reason you want people to also quote you and say you said this and this. Some rebellious people can be very quiet and reserved, so you don’t know what is within them. Selah.

Prayer:
I break this spirit and i declare it will not have its place in our church in Jesus name. Amen.
