Before Christ, “an eye for an eye” was the norm, limiting retaliation to equal harm. But Jesus changed everything, teaching us to break the cycle of revenge with forgiveness. Instead of retaliating, He calls us to respond with kindness, showing strength and restraint. This higher way of living keeps our dignity intact and aligns us with God’s peace.

When wronged, bless instead of curse, and trust God to fight on your behalf.

Go the extra mile, and live out the power of the Spirit in every situation.
