If you throw your clothes into a travel bag without folding them, the bag would not contain as many clothes as it would if you neatly folded them. Order, created by systems and structures, brings increase and transformation.

1 Corinthians 14:40-
"Let all things be done decently and in order." (NKJV)

Exodus 18:17โ€“23- Jethro advised Moses to establish systems and delegate responsibilities, bringing order and greater effectiveness to leading God's people.

Have you ever heard someone describe their spouse in public until you start wondering if they married punishment?

โ€œMy husband is useless.โ€

โ€œMy wife does not know anything.โ€

โ€œHe is slow.โ€

โ€œShe talks too much.โ€

Ah, sister, brother, must the whole neighbourhood attend your marriage meeting?

Some people praise their generator more than their spouse.

At least when the generator works for thirty minutes, they say, โ€œThis one tried today.โ€

But when their spouse tries every day, they still behave as if appreciation is illegal.

Words are powerful.

What you keep criticising may eventually stop blooming.

What you keep affirming may find strength to rise again.

๐Ÿ“– *โ€œAnd she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:โ€* โ€” 2 Chronicles 9:5 (KJV)

The queen of Sheba had heard great reports about Solomon in her own country.

She travelled to Jerusalem with hard questions, spices, gold, precious stones, and a serious desire to see whether the report was true.

When she arrived, Solomon answered her questions, and she saw his wisdom, his house, his table, his servants, his order, and his worship.

After seeing everything for herself, she did not pretend.

She spoke well of what was good.

She honoured the wisdom she saw.

She confirmed openly that the report she had heard was true.

Beloved, if a foreign queen could recognise and speak well of Solomonโ€™s strengths, surely you can recognise something good in the person you married.

Your spouse may not be perfect.

To be fair, you too are not exactly an angel sent by DHL from heaven.

But honour does not mean pretending there are no weaknesses.

It means refusing to reduce a person to only their weaknesses.

A husband who is always criticised may become silent.

A wife who is always mocked may become wounded.

A relationship where every conversation is complaint, sarcasm, and correction will soon feel like sitting inside Lagos traffic with no air conditioning.

Speak life.

Speak respect.

Speak encouragement.

Correct privately with wisdom, but do not disgrace your spouse publicly for entertainment.

Do not turn family gatherings, WhatsApp groups, or church corners into a courtroom against your partner.

Celebrate their effort.

Mention their strength.

Thank them for the little things.

Say, โ€œI appreciate you.โ€

Say, โ€œYou are doing well.โ€

Say, โ€œI see your sacrifice.โ€

Those words may look small, but they can heal deep wounds.

Healthy love grows where honour is spoken both in private and in public.

This weekend, choose to be a builder with your mouth.

Let your words water your marriage, not wound it.

1. Lord, help me to speak with honour, wisdom, and love in my relationship.

2. Heal every wound caused by criticism, disrespect, and careless words.

3. Teach me to recognise and celebrate the strengths of my spouse and loved ones.

4. Deliver me from pride, mockery, bitterness, and public embarrassment of others.

5. Let my words bring peace, confidence, and restoration today.

I prophesy that your home shall be filled with honour and healing today.

Every harsh word that has created distance shall lose its power.

God will restore sweetness, respect, and understanding in your relationships.

Your mouth shall become an instrument of peace, not pain.

Today, may your words build love, strengthen trust, and release joy.

I call you blessed.

Shalom!
