Topic: PREPARATION FOR GREATNESS IN LIFE
Text: 2Chron. 27:6
*"Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God" - (2Chron. 27:6).*
*INTRODUCTION:*
God will not take an unprepared man to prepared place. There is no substitute to preparation if you desire greatness i.e People don't fail in an exam because they wrote nothing, they failed because they lacked adequate preparation.
Greatness is not cheap and does not come by luck: Greatness comes with responsibilities and preparation.
*WHAT IS GREATNESS?*
It means to be distinguished, above average or excel in life, achievement and power.
*6 BASICS STEPS FOR GREATNESS*
1). Love God and be committed to advancement of His Kingdom - Matt. 6:33, 1Cor. 2:9.
God is the source of greatness and love is the foundation.
2). Consciously build a greatness mentality - Prov. 23::7, Eph. 3:20.
Your perspective matters in life: God does not only answer the prayer of your mouth, He equally answers your thought. Your imagination plays major role for your greatness.
3). Set out goals and plans and be determined to accomplished them - Is. 54:2-3, Habk. 2:2.
List everything you want to do or achieve in the next 12 months and consciously work to see it become a reality.
4). Be diligent and focus - Prov. 22:29, Gal. 6:7
Laziness is an enemy to greatness i.e discipline your life to make every day count.
5). Refuse to allow the pressure of life to weigh you down - Prov. 24:10, 1Cor. 16:9.
If you fail in the days of adversity, don't blame God or the devil, blame your preparation.
6). Maintain vibrant and consistent prayer and word lifestyle - Acts 6:4, Heb. 4:12.
Labour in prayer and word for great grace, which is the sponsor of greatness - 1Cor. 15:9-10.
*PRAYER:*
May the LORD increase our greatness and comfort us on everyside in this season and beyond (Ps. 71:21).
