A training is required.
If we agree as a church that we have a purpose, then the training of the saints cannot be overemphasized.
It is a training of the spirit.
A training by precepts and examples (teaching and practicals). This is where precision, accuracy and effectiveness in carrying out the assignment lies.
Such training that jesus gave the apsostles, Such that that the apostles gave the early church. That Abraham gave Isaac, that Moses gave Joshua, that Elijah gave Elijah, much more, such training like Paul gave Timothy and the likes.
This is God's will and burden-desire,
A lot hangs on this,
It is God's vision for apostolic succession.
It is the wisdom of God for futuring the church built on the solid foundation of the prophets and apostles.
IF it cost them long hours of daily teaching. Days, months and years of praying. If it demanded going into the mission field, if it required humility, submission, honour and loyalty to the word and the set men. We are not going to need anything less or short of this.
This is the very heart and fulcrum of the mission and the mandate of the church and all her apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers
We must vehemently refuse to allow this essence to be lost.
Daily online prayer attendance will not do this!
Remember Jesus first called his disciples to himself -that they might be with him. It is a relationship. There was an assembly. It is learning on the job and under a strict supervision. - Anything Contrary to this, we would have a powerless and purposeless units of the ecclesia - made up of empty members. -
People who will be in the church for decades, but never won a single soul, prayed for the sick, spoke in tongues and gave message by the spirit to exhort or edify others, -
People who cannot explain what exactly jesus did and how it translates to the realities of those who believe, people who just want to be shamelessly funky in church. -
People who knows nothing about exorcising demons, but easily yield and conduct demonic activities. People who knows nothing about enduring persecution or suffering for Christ's namesake, -
People who are weaklings, without resilience tenacity and fortitude. People that are not built on the solid rock and cannot withstand the test of time, but easily give up and fall by the way side,-
People who knows nothing about rejoicing in the spirit, even when things are odd and hard. People who have no sense of purpose and direction, people who rise and fall daily, people who are neither cold nor hot, -
People who knows nothing about bearing the burden of others and being responsible in the faith, people who drop the ball and lose their zeal upon getting married, getting a job and bearing children, and even over an offence, -
Let us awake from our slumber!, the end of all things is nearer than we first believed. There is no other way than the way of Christ and the examples of his apostles.
The way of rigorous training of the spirit, the way of building men to become stalwarts, we must courageously stand up to the task without fear of losing our worldliness, without apology to the enticing, ungodly, belittling and worthless system of the world.
This will be war against hell!, It is an invasion to the valley of dry bones!, It will be the rising of an army of light!. - The manifestation of the glory of God, his Christ and his blood purchased people. It is time to rekindle the fire of the Holy Ghost!
Long hours of entertaining praises and dancing to exert our carnality will not achieve this, and neither will prioritizing ambience: lightning, decoration and the likes do the job. Not even Media stunt and PR tricks will.
It is the word and the spirit that will do the job.
There is no excellence in a church that lacks precise teaching of the word and demonstration of the spirits power. The world system will always win if we seek to compete with them. We are not called to compete with the world, we have a mandate to have dominion, to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth.
So let the traning begin, church leaders,
Get enrolled for the training dear beliver,
The word and the spirit says come!
Come and I WILL MAKE YOU fishers of men!
GET A TRAINING!
