Jesus Christ is not a rule maker or legislator. He is first of all the Savior. We must follow Christ HIMSELF, not just keep His moral code. We need Christ’s dynamic power to keep His ethical standards. (John 6:29. 15:4,5) It means following a living Christ, not merely a dead religious founder. Knowing about Him should be followed by knowing Him personally. Christ deals with us personally not as a unit in a religious system. .Following Jesus means pleasing Him and being led by Him (Acts 27:23 Phil. 3:10. 1:21; 3:7. Gal. 1:10) God bless you.
